Predatory opportunist who saw me get out of my vehicle on walker, disabled had stolen and devoid of conscience driver towed my vehicle in the time it to go buy water to take medication -hellbound!

i told them i need to get my phone out my car they told me no i need a release form from police station .. he said he can get my registration only for me .. i try to beg him to grab my phone .. he kept saying no he can’t .. that was Friday 12/12/25 they not open on Saturday or Sunday to retrieve items so today is 12/15/25 and i had Release for to go to my car my car was ran sacked and phone was not in there

I usually don't get involved in other businesses how they operate them. But I'm hoping the owner read this review. My daughter's car was towed and had a vistor's pass on the dash board and was towed for not having one in the car in full display and they said it wasn't one in there, I know for a fact it was in the car because I was reading through the windshield and the car was locked. Whoever towed the car (driver) removed it so they can get a tow job. That is real petty to do something like to people. But I'm doing now putting cameras in and around the car to catch them as of today, but I'm using a different car that they haven't seen. You're not going to keep taking advantage of people and not paying for this crap. I hope your driver falls for this trap because y'all will be on every News outlet in the DMV and on Facebook and IG. This is literally the worse towing company. They never come when called and they are extremely rude.

Services received? Absolutely none. The hold the contract to my development and have towed, maintenance folks, house keepers and anyone parked 1 cm off their pad but abandoned vehicles that residents call about remain for months. Seem like the only willing to work where they think there is a collectible.

I was in the Jamaican eatery picking up door dash and the driver was waiting for me to get out of my car to hook it up then I came out and aided what I had done wrong he said I left the shopping center and the gentleman proceeded to charge me 183 dollars to drop my car the legal amount is 50 dollars for a drop fee they then told me I had left the shopping center property which I never did because I was picking up door dash I can’t believe this company is trying to scam people because most people don’t know the tow laws they need to be reviewed by the better business bureau they said they are issuing me a refund but I never should of been charged 183 dollars they are a predator company and they prey on people they think don’t know the laws they will get what’s coming to them sooner or later

Most people go to a tow company pissed off at the situation not the person. The guy did his job even told me how to prevent it was very respectful and got my car back no damage no items missing. Im happy. Greatbservice i hope i dont come back lol

Argumentive, disrespectful, and rude. Price gauging like crazy. This company is diabolical and they really need to reevaluate business practices or they’re gonna be filing bankruptcy soon. Do better and be fair.

The only reason why I’m giving 5 stars is because of TONY .. despite the circumstances and admittedly, the guilt, the reason of my Towing Toni* was absolutely a great person to work with and understanding I’ve had my vehicle, towed by JL Before when I first moved into my neighborhood and the other driver was rude, disrespectful, and uncouth . Even though I was short $200, Toni* somehow made my day better the other guy. Who is brown skin with glasses Honestly, would’ve Been disrespectful and continue to make my day worse thank you Tony !

After waiting almost an hour to get my car, I paid $200 cash and the guy said he had no change. And he didn’t write me up a receipt. That was very unprofessional. If he didn’t have change he could’ve zelled the $25 or cash app the $25. Or he could’ve let me get the change. But nope. He made me pay the $200 cash. Walked away. Didn’t say thank you. Didn’t write me a receipt. Didn’t send me change back. No apologies for being so late either

Encourage property managers/building operators to avoid using this company. I echo sentiment of other reviews about customers service, but be aware they are required to provide photo evidence of the violation (i.e. parking permit related towing). They refused to provide that information once I contested the claim I didn't have a permit. Only to find it placed below the passenger seat after my inspection of the car. I will file a claim with the BBB. The bigger issue is that businesses and residential areas should avoid this contractor.

Relatives were visiting from out of town. Got the monthly parking pass. The car has been parked there for 27 days on the 28th day I had the car detailed and the sign was backwards. They towed it stating it wasn't visible. You mean to tell me they have a major contract with the city but the drivers don't communicate with each other... BS . Basically they snatched a vehicle on a Memorial day weekend for a quick $185. What a waste of time, effort, and money.

SCAMMERS & ARROGANT Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a towing company. My truck was towed and the entire interaction with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. The staff were arrogant, rude, and completely insensitive. They showed no professionalism or courtesy and acted like they were doing me a favor by even speaking to me. Instead of being helpful or informative, they were dismissive and condescending, which only added to the frustration of an already stressful situation. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. If you have a choice, avoid them at all costs.

Worst towing company in Oxon Hill, matter a fact the worst ever. People deal with them because they know them that's why they give good reviews, but I'm real live Imma tell you the truth. THE WORST TOW COMPANY IN THE WORLD. MANAGEMENT SUCKS, AND THAT'S A FACT. Manager had no skills in reference to dealing with a situation. The management team, had no profession to them at all. You hired a child to manage a business and he's running it into the grown as expected from a child manager.. Don't use them if you want professionalism, they don't have any..... #FACTS

I'm a senior citizen. I got out of my car to get emergency things for my home. Wasn't aware I was in handicap but had a plaque in my car. 10 minutes in Gosnt Foods my car gone. Call the tow number said to the gentleman my car was gone he said to me O that gold Honda. He say o yes it here. I pleaded the third how they waited for me to leave and go in the store. Then they frug my car off the lot. While waiting to go get my car, another was park. They drug his car across the lot. Wheels wasn't moving and I no his transmission was messed up. Please be careful. They are troubling you of your money. 175.00. It ws raining they did not care. I'm going to take this further. Be careful

This is the worst towing company I have ever seen inexperienced tow drivers they damaged my car. And when I tried asking them how I could file a claim, the guys told me THEY DON’t CARE and asked me to leave their lot when a refused to leave they tow my car out of the lot, sent me out and locked the gate. Google should add the option of -5stars to this app.

I get to location to pick up my car and I was told I had to wait until the driver showed up. The lady on the phone kept giving me wrong eta. First it was 10mins, next it was he is pulling up now, then it was 12mins…I ended waiting 1 hour in 30degrees from 1045pm to 1145pm standing outside on a dark street by myself, female and pregnant. Then the driver shows up and all he did was put his hand out. Not one word like I’m suppose to read his mind. I had to tell him to use his words. The lack of professionalism is beyond 1 star.

This is by far the worst company. The receptionist is extremely rude. She clearly has anger issues that must be resolved. They towed my car due to a clerical error done by staff. When we tried explaining this to her she was very obtuse! I will be filing a claim with BBB and the attorney general.

Literally be press to tow I’m taking groceries in the my house They trying to tow me while my son is in the car . Sitting because the truck is left open . My son calls me they trying tow while I’m sitting in the car. I understand you have a job but to tow all day in an apartment complex is just insane mind you it’s a 11:00am . Usually they’re a time they’ll start towing . I called to tell them what happened his like I’m aware I’m like that’s not cool . Not at all !

Only gave a one star because that’s the lowest rating. I would normally think a tow company is predatory but this tow company really has some ignorant people working there. My husband’s car was towed from a handicap parking space WITH DISABLE VETERANS tags. So anyone with common sense knows this was their mistake. The ignorant and unprofessional guy tried to convince me that Disable Veterans tags are not a handicap permit? Although PGPD officer said that a handicap permit doesn’t have to be displayed when DV tags are on the car. I could only laugh because of the ignorance and that he didn’t believe the officer. On top of them failing to report the tow to the police department. By the time we knew the car was gone, we were able to call and file a report before PGPD even knew it was towed. The officer was very helpful by explaining all tows must be entered into a database and our Genesis was not listed. We made it to the tow lot and picked up. It probably wasn’t reported by then either. I will be filing with the state’s Attorney office, BBB, and filing a case small claims court of PG County. They WILL pay for hiring ignorant drivers that do not know the tow laws of the state they operate in. And please do not worry about replying to my review we will see you in court and we will be suing for more than the tow for the inconvenience of me leaving work and etc.

My car was towed by J&L from a apartment complex that I was visiting on a Sunday evening. I acknowledge that I had failed to initiate a parking session. Having said that, there was no shortage of visitor parking, and I was in a proper visitor spot. The entrance and exit gates were both stuck in open positions. When I found my car had been towed, I tried to call their posted number. I selected #1 - the option for an impounded vehicle. No one answered the call. We drove to the impound lot. No one was there to retrieve the vehicle, despite their sign saying that it could be done 24x7. I called again multiple times and left messages. I tried again, but instead used option #4 for "any other issue". This time someone answered and said that they would tell the driver to return to help get my vehicle. He returned within 5-10 minutes. The charge to retrieve my car from being towed 5 miles and held a few hours (I'm not sure exactly when they towed it) was $175. This feels extremely excessive, especially given the widely available parking and open gates. I also felt the customer service was poor given the experience I described above.

I was coming out of my apartment door as he was getting in the tow truck. I yelled for him to stop bc i would’ve paid for him to put it down but shut his door and gassed it. There’s literally so many other cars that need to be towed around my way bc I’ve called myself but he saw an easy opportunity and took it. Updated 12/14/2022…They are geeked to stalk the fire lane hoping to catch someone running in and out of the building but let’s see how long these cars sit in the lot. At the time I’m writing this review, it’s been over a week. Not towing stolen/disabled cars takes up/frees parking spaces that people can use if they have to run in and out. But they know that.

“BE AWARE” My cousin have been living at Oakcrest Towers in District Heights, Md for 2 years, and had 1 car. In July 2022, her tags expired and her wasn’t moved. On November 7, 2022, J & L placed a neon sticker on her car for expired tags. Literally, 3 days later her car was gone from the space it’s been in for months. She called and they said they don’t have it. Ironically, after a neon sticker was placed on her car and a few others, their cars come up missing ?. Not to mention, other cars that didn’t have neon stickers windows were broken out and handicap stickers stolen. My cousin and her neighbors believe this company may have something to do with it, and may have people coming back out stealing cars once they realize the tags are expired and the car(s) have been sitting. I’m not sure but this doesn’t make since or add up. I am aware some towing companies are crooks and steal people cars. Now, I believe this company may be one of them. SMH

I was in a bad car wreck. The people at JL was pleasant. Each staff member I came in contact with was professional and nice. Keisha was very helpful and explained the process of getting my car released very well without getting upset or frustrated despite my own overwhelming attitude. I commend this black own business for being prepared and professional.

Worst towing company I have ever experienced. My vehicle was towed because of improper parking. I parked my vehicle at 930 and they towed my vehicle a little after 10. I admit I was in the wrong and paid the fee. I noticed damage on my front flap and the disrespectful owner had the audacity to tell me 'you bought the vehicle used' and my response was what did that have to do with the damage that wasn't there. I was given an excuse our trucks don't damage vehicles like that you would have to run over a curb. If I ran over a curb it would have to be more damage than just my flap being broke. No accountability. Later on in the week there were multiple vehicles doing the same thing. I contacted them and was advised they were on thier way. They never came. Then the next day the same vehicles were parked illegally on the property. I spoke with a lady and was advised they would be on there way, that was at 12am. It's now almost 4 and the same vehicles are still parked there. I have called constantly and no answer from the impound line, to towing, to road side assistance and to no avail did I get an answer. I had to park far from my apartment because there were no spaces and if j&l towing would have done thier job I would not have to walk unnecessary feet to get home. I will be speaking with the owners of the property to have them removed because they are doing there job. I took pictures and have every phone call I made to contact them to resolve this issue. This is ridiculous, 1st and worst experience I ever had with a towing company.
