Kenwood Auto Body has done two repairs for me in the last four years. Each was done perfectly and their customer interface, Luigi, most recently, could not have done his job better, kudos.

Kenwood Auto Body provided excellent service from start to finish. They repaired my car efficiently and took the time to address an additional concern I mentioned, even though it wasn’t related to the original repair. I appreciated that they explained the situation clearly and offered thoughtful next steps rather than dismissing it. What really stood out was the level of customer care. One of the staff members noticed that my hands were full and kindly helped carry my items to the car. As someone who is admittedly very hyper independent, that small act of attentiveness meant a lot. It can be hard to find a genuine repair shop these days, but it was nice to discover one through my recent accident. Professional, thorough, and genuinely considerate. Kenwood Auto Body went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing reliable auto body work.

Few days ago, I went in for an estimate to get the misaligned rear passenger door of my car fixed. The door had to be fixed as the gap between the door and car frame was large enough for water leaks. Dreading an unplanned expense, I was tentative when I met Luigi. Luigi evaluated the door, called a couple of his body shop experts, and with my permission, on the spot, manually manipulated the door to it's original shape. The door was fixed! He declined to charge me anything, when I asked him what I owed. A rare quality in a market that wants to upsell and take advantage of the situation. I came in after a cross-country drive with a damaged front bumper on my older Toyota Camry. It runs great, and I wasn’t looking to spend $1,000+ on cosmetic fixes. Other shops tried to upsell me with inflated labor estimates (9.5 hours for a bumper swap?) and insisted on paint jobs I didn’t want. I just needed a functional fix, not perfection. Then I met Luigi. He listened, understood my priorities, and said, “Let’s take a look.” Within minutes, he had the bumper realigned, the headlight secured, and offered to zip-tie it safely in place. No upsell. I never write reviews, but the service here was so good I had to. I had a body panel repair and Sandy and Luigi really went out of heir way to have things fixed up on a tight deadline so I could drive my car out of town Exemplary service and everything looks really great!

In a world that is constantly becoming more transactional - Luigi and Team @ Kenwood Auto Body (Bethesda) are a throw-back to businesses that once took great pride in both their work and their treatment of customers. Kenwood Auto Body does 5-Star work for a fair price. Most importantly - customers are treated with both kindness and professionalism. No need to look at any other options - this is the place!

Outstanding service! Had problem closing front passenger door, scheduled appointment for estimate and when I showed up, Luigi fixed the problem in 20 minutes for no cost! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be back!

Went through Kenwood Auto Body Bethesda for an insurance claim late 2022. I believe they were going through some staff changes at the time and the experience was "ok". Where they really stood out however was recently, 2 years after the work was originally done, some paint started peeling back from the front bumper. I enquired about any kind of warranty on their work, fearing the worst, but they said yes, their work is covered by a warranty (not by the insurance company, by them)! They took the car back in, completed the re-work, including replacing an interior panel, all at no charge. Car now looks brand new. Phenomenally impressed by the whole process, including their communication and professionalism. Worked directly with Jonathan A, highly recommend.

This place is horrible and I will never use them again. We brought a brand new car for a $500 repair and they caused thousands of dollars of damage that had to be repaired by the dealership's collision center. They also put a lot of miles on the car.

Several years ago, I brought my car in for repairs at Kenwood Auto Body. The staff was impeccable, the service, exceptional, and the repairs done to the highest standards very quickly. This past year, however I have had two opportunities to place cars at Kenwood auto. Both experiences resulted in long delays for the repairs to be performed. The last repair was for a tailgate lift due to damage by a parking garage attendant. I brought the car in for an estimate and repair on June 18. I have USAA insurance and so the estimates are immediately paid for and processed. Despite this, and despite telling them exactly what the issue was, including having them speak to the Mercedes dealer which had discovered the problem, there were no less than eight delays on dates of performance of service. I received the number of explanations for the delays, ranging from claims of a lack of insurance approval and payments, to lack of parts and finally to unexpected issues which were never fully explained. Initially, I went along with this, but as time went on, I began to be suspicious that the shop had too few mechanics and was providing explanations that weren’t accurate, to cover up that fact What also disturbed me was that I brought the car into the dealership with half a tank of gas. When they finally gave me my car six weeks later, the tank was completely empty and the staff was not only rude but completely unapologetic over the delays and without answers as to the missing gas. I attempted to contact the manager several times, but he never returned the call. Finally I got my insurance company involved and listened as Kenwood gave incorrect answers to the insurance representative on everything from when and why the car was brought in, to what the original repair was and finally as to what was the cause of the delays. Customer service is as important as the quality of repair. While the vehicle was repaired, waiting some six weeks and having a number of seemingly inaccurate explanations as the reason for the delay made me lose trust in this repair shop. Since they are a long-standing shop, one would think that management would have stepped in and done some form of apology. But nothing. I would be very reluctant to use them again, given the fact that I have lost trust in whether they are being accurate and their representations. Also, thankfully I had insurance since the repairs approached 1/3 of the vehicles net worth. They do a good repair job, but they stumbled badly on paying attention to the customer. Bring your car there if you want a good quality repair but have a few months to spare and don’t mind a receptionist staff that is rude, dismissive, and unresponsive.

Took me without an appointment on a busy morning. Luigi looked at our right front fender liner, then 1) replaced a missing clip to secure liner to fender and 2) because the liner is broken, couldn't affix a missing bolt. "But you're good to go," he said. "You need a new fender liner but it's not an emergency." No charge. Refused a $20 "thank you." Best to call for an appointment. Open 7:30 AM - 5:30 M-F and 9 AM-noon Saturdays. Plus, btw, cordial welcome from staff and a clean, cool, capacious waiting area.

I had a wonderful experience at Kenwood Auto Body in Bethesda. The team was organized and the process of scheduling my vehicle for repairs was smooth. The staff was extremely prompt and communicative- while I was waiting for the repairs to be completed, I received updates from the team every day! I spoke the most with Luigi, who was very gracious and took the time to explain everything to me. My car looks good as new. Would definitely recommend!

I brought my vehicle after an accident a month ago and got an estimate and full liability covered by the other party's insurance. I live out of state and was visiting Maryland when I got hit. After the accident, they told me it would be at least a week, so I got a plane ticket back home. I've been checking in every beginning and end of week to get an estimate about when my vehicle will be done. Every Monday I call, they say that it will be done by Friday that week, so I buy a plane ticket for the following week to pick it up. However, every time when I call on Friday, they tell me it isn't ready yet and will likely need another week. This happened 3 times. I've wasted over $500 on plane tickets because they keep pushing the deadline back each time. I've expressed the situation to them each time, but no one seems to care. I've been trying to be extremely patient simply saying "I'm not looking for a miracle, I just want something realistic" and each time they give me a bogus date for completion. I asked at one point if I could pick up my keys on the weekend in the future, because that would be the only time I could fly out to Maryland once I start work again. The receptionist persistently reiterated to me that "we are not open on weekends." However, this is false. They are open 9am-12pm each Saturday. This has had me extremely frustrated, and up until now, I've just been rolling with the punches. However today, (after they told me my vehicle would be done by today, and it still isn't done) I called to get another estimate. I called and asked to speak with the mechanic working on my vehicle, thinking that he/she will have a more realistic timeline. They told me he would call me, but when he didn't call by 5:15pm, I called myself. They left me on hold for 15 minutes until they closed. Any attempt to call now just results in the call going straight to voicemail. Overall, this has been extremely ridiculous and comedic month of cat and mouse, and I hope no one else has to experience this.

I will DEFINITELY come back to Kenwood Auto Body shop for any future work. Xavier and Jonathan were so helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. I had a scrape along the side of my van and an estimate from another shop for $1500. I asked for the very minimal and Xavier said he could do a quick 15 minute paint and replace the trim. For free! No charge! Xavier and Jonathan did an amazing job! It looked incredible. I can barely see where the scrape was and the paint matched the rest of my van perfectly. And they were both so respectful. Made my day!

Great work! And fast service! My car got hit while parked on April 8th and was ready two weeks later! The other shops gave me an estimate of a month or two for my car to get body work done… highly recommend Kenwood Auto Body.

My repairs were completed 9 months ago, and I still reflect on the superior level of customer service I received from Luigi. Simply put, he sets the bar. He provided realistic expectations and then greatly exceeded them. He was communicative, transparent, sincere, and all around a pleasure to work with. And of course, the quality of their work is fantastic.

Truly wonderful experience with Luigi and the team at Kenwood Auto Body. It's a tight squeeze to get in, but the customer service, responsiveness, and quality of work are excellent. I would definitely recommend this body shop to anyone and while it hopefully won't happen again, I would return to have work done in the future. Thank you sincerely!

I just returned from Kenwood Auto Body on River Rd, and I couldn't be happier! The side of my car was side swiped and needed some care. Luigi was so good. My paint shines, and it looks like new. He was patient and is an expert at what he does. One can see he enjoys and takes pride in his work. When we were kids and had car accidents,my parents would take the cars to Kenwood Auto and the cars were always well taken care of. I am so happy that I can spread the good word so others will benefit from excellent work and very attentive personnel. Great team makes happy clients!

The experience at Kenwood Auto Body was excellent! All of the staff were courteous and seemed genuinely friendly. To give you an idea, over half a dozen employees that we met walking to the bathroom acknowledged my daughter and me. They honored a quote that was over six months old and their price was less than half of what VW charged for the same repair. Great service, highly recommended!

The universe knew I needed a break. And Kenwood Auto Body Bethesda delivered. Someone had hit my side mirror while the car was parked. Knocked it but not off. And I could see disconnected wires. It took almost a month to get in for an estimate. But when I arrived they couldn’t have been more helpful! Jonathan greeted me, took a look at the mirror in order to do an estimate. He mentioned that it might not need to be replaced, took it to the back. He returned with Luigi who realized it only needed a few wires reconnected, some basic TLC. They fixed it in 10 minutes negating the need to file the claim or worry about not having my vehicle to get it fixed. I’m sure it meant more $$ for the shop if they had just gone forward with an estimate and billed the insurance company. But they were both kind, helpful, and genuine. Can’t thank them both enough!

The customer service weas really top notch and they allowed us to leave the car a few extra days so i could arrange the pick up for my elderly parents who own the car. O was really impressed by their level of good service! Thanks to the lovely Kenwood staff.

I had an amazing experience with Kenwood Auto Body! William and Stan are extremely professional but yet I also felt like family, so well cared for. After my car was hit, they worked around my work schedule to return it to its former glory. I bought my car in Germany and they were able to match the paint perfectly - it looked brand new! The best part was how quickly they were able to fix it. Throughout the repairs, I got updates which were very reassuring. Absolutely wonderful experience! 5 stars is not enough! They go above and beyond for every customer :)

I came here after another place tried to rip me off with an outrageous estimate. I was paying out of pocket and Kenwood worked with me to keep the cost down and they were totally upfront, honest, and their prices were absolutely reasonable. They kept me up to date on the repair, got it done in four days - FOUR! The repairs were done exactly when they said they would be, they washed the car, and let me know it was done early enough in the day to avoid traffic on pickup. I’ve had a number of places do work on my cars over the years, never has one place been this friendly, honest, responsive, and fast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Stan was timely and accurate with our estimate. He and William have outstanding customer service skills and provided updates on when the body work would be completed. They knew we wanted our vehicle back as soon as possible and made that happen! Very happy with their work overall.

Outstanding customer service and quality of work. William was a pleasure to work with -- regular updates on the progress of my job, and completion timeframe. The repair work was excellent, and they returned my car to me washed and with the interior completely cleaned and disinfected. I will absolutely go back to Kenwood next time I need auto body work.
