I cannot say enough good things about this shop! After months of dealing with ongoing car issues and paying extra to another shop that claimed they had fixed the problem, I was beyond frustrated. Thankfully, I was able to tell Aaron the issues I’ve been having, and they immediately went above and beyond to figure out what was really going on. They discovered that the root of all my issues was a faulty installation of my Intoxalock device done by the previous shop. It was such a relief to know I wasn’t crazy and even better to finally have the right problem diagnosed and fixed. The team here was professional, thorough, and genuinely cared about getting me back on the road safely. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants honest, high-quality work and a team that truly stands behind their service. Thank you again for everything!

Platinum is by far the most professional and technically knowledgeable in aspects of this business always provides the best service and utmost care when doing installs always uses the highest quality materials and methods and always helpful with insights into things you wouldn’t even think about I’ve used this shop for the last 15yrs had multiple tint installs rim and tire installs and radio installs and other custom work done on many vehicles I highly recommend Tony and his staff to anyone who will listen 💪🏽👌🏽

I’ve been going to Platinum Sounds for over 15 years, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my vehicles. Tony Smith, the owner, is fantastic to work with—professional, knowledgeable, and always goes the extra mile. Aaron has done the window tinting on every one of my cars. While I’ve never had them replace a radio, if I ever needed one this is the only place I’d go. The whole team is top-notch—friendly, skilled, and reliable. I can’t say enough good things about them. Highly recommend!

I’ve used this shop for years from window tint to gutting a f550, new interior, leather, system, then a complete exterior wrap. Fantastic build, flawless. This shop installs everything correctly and stands behind their installs. Best around, I’ve heard horror stories about these pop up shops / shops on wheels. Don’t regret, go with the best.

These guys are only worried about squeezing every last $$$ possible out of people! Any attempt to suggest alternative ways to save a little bit is shut down and get an attitude for even mentioning it lol. He refused to do the install entirely without up selling me dsp which isn't necessary.

I used platinum for our 4 runner and they did such a good job that when I got my f150 I had no question of who to call. Perfection on both vehicles, will continue to bring any of our vehicles to them.

Exceptional work doing tinting. Best in the area… price, professional work wise and overall customer experience. I was able to drop my car off in the morning and it was done in the afternoon. It looks so clean, quality of their work was amazing. This is my third vehicle tinted here and certainly won’t be the last. They also back their work by lifetime warranty, that’s how much they take pride in their craftsmanship. I am so excited to drive in my new ride with heat and sun blocked, while also able to enjoy the beautiful look for my new ride. Hope you check this awesome spot out for your window tinting needs. Very overpriced. They make up their own rates on the spot. They do not have starting rates and wont give quotes unless you bring the car in. They also take a long time to work. If your looking for wheel work or rims. Id suggest alloy wheel repair in crofton. They did the job in a day for 100 less where as Platinum Motorsports said it takes 3-4 days.

I have been here a few times for projects on my vehicles and will continue to do so. Shop is extremely clean, and employees are nice. One guy even stayed open late to help tint my wife’s Escape. Good people

They are doing the tire and wheel install on my Caddy after a disastrous experience in Waldorf. The team is very professional and attentive to detail. I just had 3 tires and wheels mounted and balanced and I'm waiting on a replacement wheel and tire so I can return and finish the job. I truly do recommend Platinum motorsports for your custom work!!!

I have taken numerous cars to Platinum through the years, always good service. Tony and LB and other employees are very good. Recently my brake lights stopped working so I took it to Platinum. First appointment they accessed the problem. 2nd appointment my truck was there several days they could not get my existing brake lights to work so they ordered new brake lights for me. 3rd appointment I left my truck there for several days and had other install work done also which turned out great. However they could not get the new brake lights working and was charged for the brake lights and work hours. I felt they wanted to focus on other the install work rather than fix tail lights.

I bought my 2019 Ford Fusion here in 2020. I tinted everything including my windshield.The reason I'm leaving this review now is because I just bought in my new car, and I realize I never left a review before. The tint job I had on my old car is still just as good as when they first did .They walked me through everything and made sure I was happy with the results of my current car I will be coming back here.

They did excellent service. I got a 5 all the way around my car. They talked with me about the ends and outs of legal tinting etc..... I shopped around before I came here and they are reasonably priced. Plus they don't sell the cheap tint that most shops like putting on car and charge an arm and leg for. Good quality products with good pricing.

I got my windows tinted a year or so ago and had vent shades installed the other day. I had a great experience with Platinum and I would recommend them to anybody. Great work and good prices.

Amazing shop and an amazing bunch of guys, Super professional and absolutely stand by their work. I had a set of wheels custom painted, tires bought, mounted and balanced. Hassle free and the end result went beyond my expectations.

Made an appointment to get my trailer hitch installed on my Land Rover Discovery Sport, I went in at 10am they took my rite on time and at 1139 I was out the door going home. They did a great job installing the hitch I’ve seen some pictures of other places and they really cut up the bumper. At platinum they have a nice clean cut, I would definitely do business with them again.

I went in yesterday and as soon as I walked in I could feel it was a very friendly environment. The two guys I talked to were very respectful and friendly. The first time getting my windows tinted and my experience was great. Very good price and they did an amazing job. The guy even called me to again to make sure I get exactly what I wanted. You can tell they have been doing this for awhile and that they love what they do. I will go back and I will recommend this place!! Great customer service. Horrible service! Made an appointment 2 days prior to drop my car off for tint at 10am. Came back later that day after 5pm and my car wasn’t even touched. Same guy tells me he’s been tinting cars all day but when I walked in, he was busy trying to sell a guy some wheels. Asked me to leave my car there until 9-10pm and claimed he would have it done by then, no thanks. Thanks for nothing and thanks for costing me a half days pay dealing with you, Never again, take your business elsewhere. And to your response: I did drop the car off as scheduled when your shop opened, only to come back at the end of the day to find my car not touched. Like I said before, big waste of time and money lost on my end.

Platinum audio is the best place I know for anything I do to my car audio and visual. There work is outstanding and on point. They are very knowledgeable and very experienced. I've had subs installed twice I have two amps installed. I've had window tint done custom vinyls made and installed. Staff is amazing as well as there work. I will be getting leds done and a few other things in the next couple months. Thanks guys

I brought my 2018 Rav4 in yesterday to have my windows tinted. I had to ask a few times if they knew I wanted my whole car tinted after I was given the price for the tint (you honestly can't beat what I paid anywhere!!). It took them only an hour and a half to complete the job and the quality of their work is remarkable. I struggle with perfectionism and there was not one flaw I could find in the tint job they did. I would recommend this place over and over again!

Just had my wife's Kia Stinger tint installed. The techs, even Mr. Smith himself were very pleasant and helpful. Especially since I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment. Very greatful to the whole staff and also decently priced.

Fantastic service! Had windows tinted and it looks perfect! Also a headliner in a Cherokee. Good as new again. Definitely going back for more services. EDIT: Got windows tinted in Altima. Perfect! Now getting Kenwood entertainment system. DRL's and lot of other LED lighting. Will post more pics later Another Edit: Amazing install of LED's, fog lights, and switchback daytime running lights! Will does amazing work! Another Edit: The installer Will does it again! He installed Bluetooth controlled RGB lights and a JBL subwoofer. Everything is perfect!

Recently had my 2013 Ford Explorer at the shop for an amp and speaker install. The woman at the front desk was extremely pleasant to deal with from my very first phone call. The tech I spoke with and paid my invoice with was also very nice and courteous. I felt like I was in great hands from day 1 of my call. My appointment was perfectly timed and the price was reasonable. The install is gorgeous. Very clean. And the sub sounds amazing. Would recommend this place to others. I'll be back in the future. One very happy customer.

Over the years I have taken 3 vehicles to Platinum Sounds for window tint, my most recent being today. As always, I am extremely pleased with the quality of their workmanship and customer service. The staff is very friendly and professional, as well as knowledgable about the products and services they offer. Additionally, the prices are very competitive and the work was completed in a timely manner. I would recommend Platinum Sounds to anyone for vehicle customizations.

I am writing this as a non-customer because I was never able to get anyone at the shop to install a single item in my vehicle. I went into the shop twice and both times asked for a simple estimate and date for install and both were ignored. It has been over a month now and I figured maybe this review will get their attention. The second time I went in the owner was on the phone with a bill collector for my entire wait of over 30 minutes while I was attempting to get over $3000 of equipment installed in my vehicle. I just though it was very ironic that they would have a customer walk out the door for a second time while on phone with bill collector. Beware, the folks working there "trying" to sell equipment provide extremely high estimates and over charge for all in-store products and services. I highly recommend a better and more professional shop for any service you need done. Lastly, after reading others reviews it seems like it was a good thing I never got anything installed based on prior performance reviews. It appears that their grammar is a direct reflection of their quality in both customer service and workmanship.

I recently received my first car. I was looking to do a few upgrades to it. I have a Monte Carlo SS Supercharged and was wanting to install an aftermarket stereo. I have no experience installing stereos in a car. Doing my research, I found Platinum Sounds and Rims in Prince Fredrick. It was the closest and the best place for me to get my stereo installed. After reading all their reviews and seeing pictures of their work, I felt like I was in good hands. They explained how they would install the stereo and answered any questions I had. I was surprised on Christmas with the car stereo, and had an appointment to install the next day. It took only few hours and was done for a great price. Platinum Sounds is an all around professional and knowledgeable business. My stereo install turned out great, and you won't be disappointed with their work! I recommend going there for anything you need done to enhance your car!
