Felt like I was playing flogger trying to get parked and then getting in the store.
Aisles are small. Food selection was okay. But was missing a lot of staples I'm used to finding in other Walmarts. Grocery is definitely an after thought in the MD stores.
Disgusting, mismanaged and actively becoming an eyesore to the community. There is never any one working at the registers instead they seem to meander around while they see lines pile up at the self check out. Calvert and Maryland has some the highest taxes in the nation and you would never know it because everywhere is starting to look like this Walmart.
Locally known as Small-Mart, this location is the east Coast smallest Walmart, If you have ever been to a Walmart Market it's like that but smaller and you can't fit two carts by each other in the aisles. The staff are mostly good and many of them have been there many years

I'm sick of Walmart becoming an "everything store".
The amount of aisles has turned the locations into mazes with enough room for exactly two people to stand side-by-side.
The amount of anxiety i have to endure just going into one of these places makes spending a few extra bucks at Target feel worth it.
Everyone I speak to feels the same and I have spoken to other shoppers who have stopped shopping regularly at Walmart and now only go for a few select items but only after they order online.
It's always been a terribly uncomfortable store. Now it's disgusting and crowded and I refuse to spend money there.
This Dunkirk is small, but friendly boys except for the evening shift manager. She is obviously not a happy person and he’s very ignorant. I was returning something one time in this girl needed her help. I’m the manager literally sat her office for over 10 minutes. I had to call the store and ask her to come out and before she came out, I asked the girl she had to deal with this all the time. Because it wasn’t fair to her. And she looked so sad and said yes. No wonder they can’t keep any employees. I would never wanna work with this miserable lady. And I’ve only ever seen her work second shift so that’s why I’m going during the day. They’re wonderful! But there’s always one bad egg. I just don’t understand why people are so miserable and obviously hate their job. Or other people for no reason I’m not quite sure which one it is but she’s very ignorant to other employees and customers as well. I’ve witnessed it all. I’m sure I’m not the only one. But overall, if you go during the day, definitely have a much more pleasant experience.
Can't believe I actually have to write this but here we are, I have been going to this Walmart for years now when I come down here to visit my friend's or cousin (which is at least one every two weeks)I stop by and never once had any issues until today. I come in, went to the bathroom ( which The stall I went in had toilet paper all over the seat) then head over to the toy aisle (I know I'm being followed at this point, your associate wasn't good at it) I leave the toy aisle and she acts like she's looking at the Xbox and PlayStation cards on the end cap (nice try, it's a good thing you're not loss prevention, your terrible at it) I go down the aisle with candles, she goes down the same aisle, I go down the food, she goes down the food, like I said it was quite obvious I was being followed, it's not like she was trying to hide it or any good at it. This particular Walmart lost my business for today and a customer in general because like I said I have never once had an issue at this store until today, I never gave any indication upon entering the store that would raise red flags that I was up to no good, this individual just saw me and for some reason decided to follow me like I was a common thief when I was just a customer looking to make a purchase. You need to train your associates better to look for actual thieves and not a regular customer looking around the store on their way home. I will give my business to the Prince Frederick Walmart when I'm down this way from now on.
This walmart let customers shop and then blindside them with cards only purchases throughout the who store when they are ready to check out. Hey walmart geniuses why don't you put up big signs or something so that customers who have CASH only will not waste their time shopping. Also put a sign up at the baby formula section so that customers know you CANNOT get baby formula til they are finished shopping.
I am normally not a person who ever leaves reviews, whether good or bad, but I just had to leave a 5 star review for the Walmart in Dunkirk, specifically because of Katherine in customer service, who immediately stopped what she was doing (and delegated her tasks to another employee) to help me find my phone after I lost it inside the store. I first asked a few other employees who could not help me but directed me to Katherine, and she went completely above and beyond her job duties to help me while I was distressed and comforted me when I got emotional. Ultimately she was able to help me find my phone (which I am forever grateful for) and she even did my check out for me so that I didn’t have to wait in line while I was upset. It was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with an employee, especially at this location. I hope she has an amazing day and I wish her all the best!! ? GIVE THAT WOMAN A RAISE!!!!
Have been going to this Walmart off and on about seven years.
It is a smaller location, though the employees do their best not to be in your way.
Whenever I am trying to find a product there is usually an employee that helps me.
They are usually fairly busy though don't remember there ever being a long wait to pay for purchases.
There is also a lot of room in the parking lot which I like.
The customer service at this location is very good. The people handling the returns and exchanges are fantastic and handle all transactions quickly and are always so pleasant.
Had an exceptional experience with Kristine recently and so efficient. Pleasure to deal with.
I noticed that B&D Kitchen's goes above and beyond what I've experienced at other home improvement places. I had my Kitchen remodeled but I must say it was the designer (Dan) who impressed me the most.
On any normal day I would no venture into this Walmart. Why? Because I appreciate human interaction at the checkout. This walmart is mostly self checkout.
This time However, my mother convinced me to shop with her. We did and we decided we would not use the self checkout I am glad! We met David who was energetic, engaged in the work he was doing and showed an appreciation for us! The only thing that I can complain about is the self checkouts that's why you lose one star! Get more David's!
