I was assisted by Justin with my windshield wipers. He helped me understand why one of them was not moving, fixed the problem, and helped install new ones so that I could have peace of mind. I highly commend his customer service style. He was pleasant the entire time and very professional. I recommend this store to anyone in a jam.

Quick, knowledgeable, helpful and convenient. I came here after buying a bulb from Advance AutoParts, which ended up being a waste of my time and money. AutoZone’s crew immediately knew which bulb my car needed and let me know how to install it correctly! I will be back here!

I would like to say that I was thoroughly impressed from the moment. I walked in as I was greeted and asked what I needed at the door. A lady named Barbara was quick to act and pulled me up what I needed as my vehicle was in desperate need of a battery. After she found my vehicle, gave me my choices, and once I purchased the battery for my vehicle, she quickly acted. Within 10 minutes she was done and I had a brand new battery and my car started right up. My hat goes off to you, Barbara! I wish my tip was allowed to be given to you because you totally deserve it! You are a blessing to me and my family.

Bam was great! He helped me check and replace my battery that was under warranty. He answered a bunch of unrelated questions and never pressured me to buy anything I didn’t want. I will definitely be going back.

Went in today 11/11/24 around 11:00am to get my cars code read as recommended by a friend who a mechanic as a start for fixing a new found problem with my car. I was immediately met with rudeness and inconvenience from the employees working. I explained I needed my “car scanned” to which I was quickly corrected “ you mean you need a code to be read.” In the nastiest condescending manner from the lovely lady working. Said lady came outside with me and told me to turn my car on. She plugged the device in while clearly displaying how dissatisfied she was with having to step outside. She huffed and puffed and rolled eyes. She was a ray of sunshine really! We go back inside and she tells me there’s no code, and again is talking to me as if I had personally insulted her family line. Well long story short we took my car to advanced autoparts less then a mile away and they were able to pull a code… weird. So In conclusion, if terrible customer service, not getting answers on your questions, and being looked down upon because you do not have extensive knowledge in the mechanical industry this might be the place for you! This lady is single handily the worst person any employer could choose for a customer service role. She is going to continue to drive consumers away from your store with her horrendously attitude, belittling, and nastiness. Do not go here.

Went in to get coolant for my truck, I was instantly greeted by Bam, He explained all types of coolants and what are the best options. He then led me right to where they are located and I was checked out in a timely manner and he was amazing the whole time! Definitely recommend asking for Bam he wants to and will help you! I will be definitely coming back due to great service!

Don't bother using these guys for batteries. They tested mine, said it was bad, offered a $200+ replacement, I said no thanks, went to another store, they tested the same battery and said it was strong enough to start a boat. These guys are probably fine for supplying parts but for diagnostic facilities, I will not be utilizing them by any means.

Honestly, the customer service here is ridiculously awful. The man that was helping me was very irritable with me just asking extra questions to be sure I’m getting what I need. As if it’s not a job that he's getting paid to do.

My initial impression wasn't good. The guy that was helping me acted like I was bothering him. He had an ear bud in one ear, which happened to be the ear closest to a customer. One of the managers took over helping me and he was very helpful. He said he couldn't install my battery due to my car having a fuse box on top of the battery. He did call a local garage, and they got me right in and installed my battery . *******UPDATE ********** I was asked by the "owner" to contact him/her at the customer service department via email. What a joke!! Jazmine, in customer service, thanked me for my positive comments. At no time were my comments to the customer service department positive!! Either they use a computer generated letter, or they don't bother to actually read the emails that their customers send!!

I went to do a return because the part was defective & The manager Barbara Ellsworth was Rude & yelling at me & she has zero customer service !! She act as if she didn't know my part had a lifetime warranty on & she said she wasn't going to give me another part !! Long story short my money might want to I left out of the store with my part !! I don't understand how you can be a manager somewhere if you don't know AutoZone policy & warranty !! She shouldn't be at manager in any store.. I'm also reaching out to Corporate ..

Had my first bad experience at AutoZone today. My wife went to get a few things like headlight bulb, windshield wiper blades and get her battery check. So everything was good except the blades. One was snug like it supposed to the other popped Off to easy. She went back and she said he took it off and put it back on and it clicked so she thought it was good. I tried it after she got home and It popped Off to easy again. I went back this time and the woman there said It was locking okay and proceeded back inside and and handed me My receipt and toldme to come back if it falls off and walks away. This is a safety issue and not good service

Stopped on my way home from work with a dead battery (had to have the car battery jumped in parking lot at work); they did a quick inspection to ensure they were permitted to change it (newer vehicles wired into the computer are a no go for battery changed for liability), swapped it out and was on my way in under 15 minutes. Thanks AutoZone!

Brought in two starter batteries to replace. Was told there was no carts available, and was offered no assistance with carrying them in. Employees arguing amongst themselves. Not a healthy working environment. Could hardly understand the cashier since he only had a few teeth. Was offered no assistance in taking them back to my car.

I had a car battery that was not healthy. I stopped by Dunkirk, and dealt with a guy named Bam. He looked up my battery and was ringing me up. I asked him for a favor, which was to bring my battery to my truck since i just had hand surgery, but as i was saying the “can i ask you a favor”, as i was showing him my hands, he said no problem we’ll take care of it. He has me enter my credit card info but i didn’t realize he was getting his tools. He was getting ready to change my battery for me. Without hesitation. Without frustration etc. customer service was a 10/10. I appreciated that more than he realized and i was very grateful. Very satisfied with everything about this transaction

I went in and asked the store clerk what was the difference between 2 products and he looks and me.... yawns and says I don’t know not my area!!! Ok wow dude!! Then I ask another guy and he says I don’t know either probably just the bottle?! Ummm ok. I pick which one I needed and get to the counter and the goes it’s the same one! (I’m returning a product and getting the one I needed) I said no it’s not he rolls his eyes and proceeds with my transaction. So rude and NOT helpful! Should of went to Advanced

Always friendly staff with helpful advice. I will continue to shop at AutoZone vs Advance after the Dunkirk Advance wouldn't return my unused brake pads after 32 days even though I had the receipt and only wanted store credit to buy more merchandise. The guy at the counter said he would but when the manager came for the override, she said it was over 30 days so I couldn't return them. I asked if I could return it for store credit "without a receipt if it was less than 30 days" and she said yes, but I couldn't do that because she already saw my receipt. Go AutoZone, boo Advance!

I was treated with a great deal disrespect by the women in charge. Her customer service skills were as poor as they come. I left and purchased my battery across the street at advanced auto. They had a great customer service. I will not buy from rude and disrespectful people. Customer service is key when it comes to retail and autozone needs to get rid of people that treat customers with an attitude. This is the first time I have ever posted a complaint but I am doing it as a favor to the company. There is no place for a bad attitude for any company.

Nick at the Dunkirk location helped me above and beyond. I had bought a battery from a different location and they handed me the wrong one. He set everything right with a great attitude. 5 stars go all to his hard work. Thank you again and this will be the only place I visit, no matter the situation

I have to update and expand my review of this AutoZone. I went in here tonight to get a new headlight bulb for my car. It was a little difficult to figure out, but two gentlemen at this place figured it out and got it fixed. I've been here numerous times since moving to Calvert 2 years ago and I've never had a bad experience. Top-notch service every time. Polite and helpful always.

I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Obviously needed a new battery. Called the dealership and they stated $317 for the battery alone. Extra charge for installation. Could go there now but 3 hour wait. I get it. It’s the dealership but that’s crazy. Then I called AutoZone and spoke with Austin. Gave me a price under $200. Arrived at the store 20 minutes later and again spoke with Austin. Immediately pulled the Duralast battery and rang me up. Austin said he would be glad to put it in for no charge in just a few minutes while he was waiting on another customer. Jamie grabbed the battery and came right out and swapped it out. I wasn’t even there 15 min and no labor charge. Austin and Jamie define what great customer service is. I’ll be back soon. I left a great review weeks ago. I had great interactions with all the staff until today. I needed to exchange a part. I believe his name was Brian. He was very condescending in a passive/aggressive way. He was vague & ambiguous in his language. It wasn't that he was not knowledgeable of protocols more so than him trying to skirt around questions. It ended with him asking "where am I ?" then had the audacity to tell me to shop in "that" area(assuming I couldn't possibly live near Dunkirk). I am a resident of this county. If it's not racism from white residents that my family experiences; then its "colorism" or religious discrimination from other people of color in this county. I've been here since 2018......never a dull moment. He didn't apologize & denied everything until it was revealed that the conversation was recorded(I called on my business line). I have proof. Just think of how many people were turned away due to his arrogant despicable behavior who DON'T have proof. I'm extremely disappointed but not at all surprised. As for the employee reading this, it's "colorism" & not "racism". You knew what color I was as I was on the phone. You just assumed I was broke & ignorant. I suggest you wake up. An immediate apology, would have prevented this review. You have no idea the effect you have on people & what they can do to expose the truth. #america2019 I won't be back to this location Insha-Allah

Stopped by to get my check engine light code checked which they do for free. I found out from the clerk that they are not allowed to reset a check engine light in Maryland. But, just then, the clerk's friend walked in and the friend was able to check the code with his reader. He was able to turn off the light for me. 10,000 miles later, still good to go. Just an erroneous O2 sensor. (The price one pays for living in a nanny state.)
