Thank you for reaching out to me. I understand that finding qualified assistance is currently more difficult than in the past. Poor management, however, is an entirely different matter. I will not consider returning to this location; perhaps I might consider another location.

Mr. Tire personnel were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable when I took my car in to patch a tire. They did the work in a very reasonable period of time.

They saved my butt when walmart wouldn’t mount the tires I bought from them because they said my rims were aftermarket. They are factory either way they are a life saver

This location just damaged several lugs nuts and the wheel on our '25 Suburban that came STRAIGHT off the truck from the plant when we purchased it. The dealer simply removed the plastic and gave it a wash, and it has never been anywhere for service yet of any sort as I do our oil changes. We noticed a slow leak on the right-rear tire... the Chevy at let us know when it got down to 28 PSI, at which point I refilled the tire and monitored the pressure for several days. I confirmed the link and my wife called Mr. Tire to make an appointment. After dropping it off today the lady there called us back later to advise they found a nail but cannot work on it because on of the wheel studs is snapped. I suggested to her that someone put an impact on it in the wrong direction, despite her claim that no one touched it. She advised that they don't use impact guns. What a joke. I then asked how she would then know the lug nut was snapped if they didn't try taking it off, and she said that they use their fingers to turn lug nuts before ever trying to take a wheel off. No one does this. Literally, no one. Upon arriving to pick the vehicle up I observed damage to several lug nuts on the right-rear wheel. The one with the heaviest damage was the locking lug nut. I inspected the key to the locking lug nut and it now has signs of use-- impact marks on the edges of the hex portion where an impact gun and socket were clearly used on it. Mind you this was a brand new wheel key that would have never been used yet otherwise. However, I found no lug nut with a broken stud. The lady came out to our car to show us and pointed to the locking lug nut. I stated that it was funny that they didn't try to remove any lug nuts, yet of all lug nuts on the car, only that wheel has damaged ones now. I then showed her the damaged wheel lock key and she told me they didn't even use it because the car doesn't having locking lug nuts. I told her it does and she was adamant that it did not. I had to show her that it was a locking lug nut, it just looks like a standard one at a glance. I asked if they have cameras in the shop, and she got a little more upset with the situation and told me no. I told her there's no way that they don't have cameras and she told me I can believe what I want. My word against hers, and she stuck to her story so we finished the little argument and she went back inside. I continued to examine things further in the parking lot and recalled her claim about the car not having locking lug nuts. The spinning cosmetic lug nut that was busted up rotated when I turned it harder. Looking at the damage to that lug nut again it was obvious what happened: They tried taking the locking lug nut off with a standard/impact socket at first and broke the cosmetic lug nut on it. They then realized it was a locking lug nut and used they to take it off with an impact, which should never be used on a locking lug nut key. At that point they apparently decided to put it back together, tell us the stud was broken and they never attempted to take the wheel off, in order to avoid responsibility for the damage. I went back inside and told them that I now realize they did and asked to see that their shop doesn't have cameras. She repeated that there were no cameras and refused to let me see inside the shop, citing customers aren't allowed. I've walked inside Mr. Tire at several other locations over the years/decades for them to show me things on previous vehicles. I then asked for a mechanic, to ask how they remove lug nuts, knowing they would say an impact gun. She told me I can't speak them. I chuckled knowing why she wouldn't want them talking to me, but asked why, still. She advised that they were at lunch. It was 1:50 PM, and I asked, "they're all at lunch at the same time, right now??". She said "yes" and nothing more. I asked someone else at their front desk if they had cameras in the shop and she immediately got upset and jumped in to tell me not to talk to the employee because they have no involvement in this. This place is a total joke-- avoid them.

Charged $89 twice!! The manager in Dunkirk, argued, refused to calculate the bill to see that I was correct, and finally called and promised refund. Still waiting…..

I stopped in one evening for help adjusting my tire pressure. Although there was only one person in the office at the time, she cheerfully helped me and had me on my way in about 20 minutes. Really appreciate the help provided without a scheduled appointment when I was in a pinch.

This was hands down the most disrespectful experience I’ve ever had at an auto shop. Nancy, the manager, was unbelievably rude, unprofessional, and talked to me in a way no customer should ever be spoken to. The attitude, the tone, the dismissiveness — completely unacceptable. On top of that, I explicitly told them not to charge me a disposal fee because I’d be taking my old tires myself in the bed of our other vehicle, and they agreed. Instead, they lied, charged me anyway, and then shoved the tires into my trunk without telling me saying they didn’t know where the tires were. The lack of honesty and basic customer respect is shocking. I will never return to this location and I strongly advise others to avoid it.

Recently had a set of tires put on my CR-V last week from Mr. Tire in Dunkirk and I can’t express how satisfied I am with the whole experience. Nancy was awesome great communication and customer service and the technicians were very friendly and honest. This was a much better experience than two years ago. Thank you keep up the great work.

What's great service we received without an appointment and with special ADA needs accommodations. I'm over the moon because they did the job in less than quoted wait time. This is the best customer service we have received this year, and those 2 young people: Shawn and Nancy are representing there peers with excellent 👌. Thank you so much 😊

Incompetent. Front desk didn't seem to know what they were doing. After two weeks valve stem popped right out of rear tire. Decided not to return there to get it fixed, went to Granados in Lusby instead.

Very professional and organized. They treat custom rims with care. They have competitive pricing on their tires. I enjoy the lifetime balancing and rotation of my tires every 5 k miles! The Dunkirk store and Nancy are fantastic!

tl;dr: stay away from Mr. Tire! Town Square Auto is a good option. I brought my Subaru Outback in for brake service and was told that it needed new brake pads, calipers, brake rotors, and brake fluid exchange. I okayed the work and received my vehicle back after a couple of days. The next time I drove my vehicle, there was a grinding sound every time I pressed the brakes, which progressed to excessive vibrating as I slowed down, followed by a sudden, jerky stop once the brakes were fully engaged. It goes without saying, but this is a scary problem to have while driving down the highway! I very carefully drove back to Mr. Tire on Friday, May 2nd around 12:30 pm, but when I reached the store the doors were locked. I tried calling but no one answered the phone. I walked to Valvoline across the street, who recommended Town Square Auto. The mechanics at Town Square Auto looked at my brakes and informed me that many of the items listed on my statement had not been done, and that one of the calipers was completely missing a bolt. They reinstalled the missing bolt, as well as bled the brake system, which was something Mr. Tire had stated was completed. I am beyond disappointed with the "service" received from Mr. Tire. Both the mechanics at Valvoline and Town Square Auto commented that Mr. Tire is known for poor work, and Town Square Auto stated they have had previous instances of fixing vehicles that were messed up by Mr. Tire. I appreciated Mr. Tire's online scheduling and that there were appointment slots readily available, but now I see why.

Booked a 5pm appointment online. Called immediately after booking and confirmed they had the right tires in stock. Arrived promptly at my appointment time and dropped off the key. They said it would be quick. After walking the mall for a bit, I returned around 6:15. No update. Around 6:45 they said they didn't have the tires I wanted in stock, despite me confirming on the phone earlier. They offered me other tire brands and said they "might" be able to offer them at the price of the tires I requested. I began researching the quality of the other options online, and decided on an alternative. When I told them my choice, they informed me that the tires I originally wanted were just found. However, it was already 6:55 by this point. Nearly 2 hours after the appointment and they hadn't even started the job. I made an appointment so I wouldn't have to waste my whole evening. Well, so much for that! I asked to speak to a manager and was told he (TJ) wasn't available but would be back tomorrow. The job was finally finished at 8:15, well past the store closing time. Or so I thought! I went out to inspect the car and found that the tires were not matching, and 3 out of the 4 were the wrong tires. I went back inside and told the front desk woman that there was a mistake. She said I could just pay and they would fix it if I came back the next day. I told her I would come back the next day and pay when the job is done correctly. She called her manager to ask if that was okay, but what else were they going to do? They weren't keeping my car overnight. I left the store at around 8:30 without paying and without receiving the service I waited 3.5 hours to get. The next day, I was held up at work but finally got through by phone at around 3pm. I spoke to TJ the manager, who apologized for the mistake and offered to waive the installation cost. He said to bring it back the next day, Saturday, at 9am, so that they could complete the job quickly. I agreed. Saturday morning, I arrived on time and handed over my key at 9am. After discussing the options again with TJ, I decided to keep the 3 "wrong" tires and have them swap out the 4th with a matching tire. This should have made the correction even faster, I hoped. TJ informed me at that time that there would be a wait because another job was currently in progress. Seriously? My car was not taken until 9:40, and the job was not finished until 10:05. In the end, I paid for only the tires and sales tax, but also spent a total of 4.5 hours in their shop for a job that should have taken less than 1 hour to do. TJ did his best to fix a bad situation, but I don't think I will be bringing my business back to this shop.

I have been using Mr. Tire, at various locations in MD, for almost 20 years. The location in Dunkirk irreparably damaged my lugnuts last year, and today were unable to find a slow leak in one of the tires I bought from them, and managed to damage my car window motor. The entire experience with them has been relatively unpleasant. I tried to schedule my tire rotation and get a slow leak fixed last week, but no one answered so I left a message. After several days with no return call, I went to their website and scheduled the appointment myself. I got a call the day of my appointment saying they wouldn't have a tech available and needed to reschedule. When I went in this morning, the person behind the desk tried to charge me for a tire rotation, even though I bought my tires there, then tried to charge me to repair the leak, which they couldn't find even though I bought the warranty. It took 10 minutes for them to take my car back, which isn't that long given past experiences, but when they returned my car at the promised time they were unable to find the leak and handed over my car to me with a broken window motor and the window in the locked down position in 25 degree weather. When I asked to talk to the mechanic his response was, "sorry honey I don't know why it's not working, I only moved the side mirror and put the window down so the door wouldn't lock." I now have to take the day off work to go get the window repaired. I just wanted my one tire's leak repaired. That didn't even happen. Very disappointing overall.

Well, I hate to say it I've changed my mind with this Mr Tire. While the people in the front area were friendly and helpful, the people in the back are objectively terrible at their job. They left bolts loose on my Volvo c30 after alignment which forced me to take it to another shop and have it redone shortly after. The previous time I took my wife's car in, they balanced the wheels incorrectly by stacking weights on top of weights. This time we took the car in for a rotation, to correct the wheel balance, and to have a small hole patched. When I walked out the next morning the tire was flat again. The same pinhole that I had located before was still there, they did not even fix what I paid them for. So, I took the tire off and drove it up there in my other car for them to fix. I will not be hey Mr Tire customer again. I like this Mr Tire. The people are pretty friendly and they are very flexible with me for tire balance and alignments. This is important because I do my own maintenance and repairs and and cars are pain.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is one of the worst experiences I've had at a store. I had a question that required speaking with a manager. Unfortunately, he was unavailable, and when I reached him via speakerphone, he was rude and essentially told me to either "get over it" or go somewhere else. Although I was frustrated, I decided to go ahead and have my vehicle serviced. I waited two hours for my oil change, despite having a scheduled appointment (not a walk-in). I didn’t complain about the wait. However, after the service was completed, I noticed that two lug nuts were missing from one of my tires. I waited for over 20 minutes and then they insisted they hadn't removed them. When I asked why my tires hadn't been rotated as discussed, the technician told me he had decided not to rotate them due to my complaint when I arrived. He then told me to schedule another appointment if I wanted the rotation, and that he would no longer assist me. I filed a complaint with corporate, but I have yet to receive any resolution.

Made an appointment on a Saturday for getting two tires put on the next day. I was told I had an appointment at 3:00 PM on Sunday. I arrived at 2:45 on Sunday and was told they were running a little behind, but it was fine. They waited until 4:15 to tell me that I was not going to be seen that day. If you have an appointment, you should be able to keep an appointment. Not worth going back.

All in all I have had good experiences at Mister tire. Recently I had an oil change and a tire rotation to be done, due to a human error by one of the workers. Tire rotation was not performed but my Appreciation was with the Manager Matthew Golden on 8/26/24 he was very professional honest and respectful and solved the problem even refunding me money that I had paid to get the tire rotation done at a previous auto service center. Hats off to him. We need more Managers like Matthew.

8/24/24 Manager was outstanding! on a busy sat morning manager was able to fit my son's car in which had a flat tire due to a screw and needed to replace tire. Then when we went to pick up his car low and behold their was a screw and washer in my tire! The manager again checked out the tire and it was able to be repaired still fitting my car into the Saturday schedule. Mechanic who fixed my tire even came out to talk to me and advised all four tires needed to be replaced as they were worn. He even assured me the fix tire would be fine till I bought new ones. Prices were great found out tire rotation and oil change was half the cost of Valvoline so we will be back often. Great Job Guys!! PS give them a day off with pay please.|

I recently had a horrible experience with Mr Tire in Dunkirk. I have been going there for many years and for the most part, had reasonable service. In the last year or so, there have been several changes in employees that has caused a negative change in service. I will not go there again after my recent poor experience. The experience had to do with attempting to purchase new tires. Over the years , I have bought around 10 sets of tires for several cars. I began by using the Mr tire website to look up the tires I needed. I called the store and asked about the tires and was told I could get them the next day but I had to put down the full cost for the tires. This is a new policy. The next day I was told the tires would be there Monday. I setup an appointment on Monday and brought the car and began to wait. After 30 minutes, I was told there was a minor snag - I ordered the wrong tires. I told him I took the information from the Mr tire website. He said it happens all the time. He said he could get the correct tires but they would cost more. He would have to refund my money and then I would have to pay for the newer more expensive tires. The refund would take 7-10 business days. We argued a bit over whose fault it was and he finally told me he would not get the correct tires. He gave me the refund receipt and I asked for his supervisors phone number. He refused my request and told me to call the corporate office. I did. They said the manager at Mr Tire was wrong and it was his responsibility to make sure the correct tires are ordered for the customer. He said he would speak to the district manager and someone would call me within 48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no call and I’ve called them 3 times about getting my refund (over $1000). Each time they tell me it will be 3-5 days. Still waiting. I would stay away from Mr Tire in Dunkirk and the Monroe corporation in general.

Second visit yesterday and really happy to find that the tires I purchased from them last year had a warranty for repairs so 0 - ZERO! - to pay for getting one repaired after I ran over a nail. I really appreciated their service and professionalism last year when I bought my tires and yesterday too when they promptly fixed my tire and had me on my way. Thanks!

Honest, competent, and trustworthy shop! I will come here for all my car needs in MD. Kenny at the service desk was very helpful and I could not be more impressed with how straightforward the process was with them. No gimmicks and a staff that really knows what they are doing. A rare find!
