Carroll Island Auto Care wee extremely helpful with a tire emergency. They fit us into their schedule with a smile, and had the exact size tire we needed in stock.They had us back in action in an hour, with no prior appointment. The techs are all friendly and helpful and their prices are very reasonable, without trying to upsell additional work. This is a great old-school community auto repair business. I highly recommend them.
We were lucky to blow a tire 2 blocks from here at 6pm Saturday night on a holiday weekend. We were 1 1/2 hours of highway driving away from home so using our donut was not a good idea. They couldn’t have been nicer when we called. They helped us figure out our options and found a lightly used tire in our size on their lot. From the minute we drove up they were all so helpful and went above and beyond to take care of us. They clearly know their stuff, were super reasonable, and turned what could have been a disaster into a positive experience. If we were local we’d be going back to them.
Called them up with a flat tire and they said come on in. Arrived and grdeted by Jethro who took care of me the entire time. He got it fixed for 25 bucks in under 15 minutes. Barely had time to enjoy the scenery of construction across the street. Great service and I highly recommend. As someone with multiple concussions finding a place with honest people matters a lot.
Called them with a car problem that I couldn't bring directly to the shop and received excellent advice and treatment, staff were kind helpful and above all competent 10/10 would recommend this store for integrity and customer service
Excellent and fast for tire plug! I picked up a screw late in the day, I drove up and the tech was able to plug it right there with my vehicle still on the ground. Less than 5 minutes later I was back on the road - and less than $20! Saved my butt since it was so late in the day, and a Sunday to boot (all other shops were closed). If I have a need for tire repair again, I’d definitely use their services!
If I could put zero stars I would. My car was overheating took there. They said I needed a new thermostat. I didn't think that was problem, but I'm not mechanic so I let do it. Long story short my car was still overheating after a 376 dollar thermostat. I took to a real mechanic. I needed A new fan.
Amazing service, I showed up five minutes before close with a screw in my tire. They were happy to help me and plugged my tire within 10 minutes. Highly recommend, they are amazing people.
I was recommended this place buy a friend. Went just for a tire. Mine was not leaking any air but very done. The changed my tire I went home and it was immediately flat. Filled with air and went back. All of a sudden my entire wheel it destroyed. Somehow after going and only after dealing with them. Lost hundreds of dollars. How to get tow... missed work. And nothing from them. They should have at least given me my money back for tire for ruin my car. Will never be back. Looking into legal action. Simple compensation can go a long way. They don't care. Don't go here under any circumstances!!!!
The tire guy was a little slow as he walked around for 20 minutes before actually plugging the tire. Then had to hunt him down to pay because I don't know where he went. Price is right and definitely convenient. No appointment necessary

I would absolutely go back to this place they were so nice and they were so fast with fixing my tire. They fixed my tire within 5 minutes and had me back out on the road. I needed my tire patched and they even made suggestions that would make my tires better and let me know of the suggestions.They are so cheap it was only costing me $15.
The gentleman that put air in my tires was very nice. There was a tech. That wasn't very nice. He was very short with his patience. I usually have a good experience getting service there. I just wasn't very happy with the tech that greeted me when I explained I just needed air.
I was recommended here to fix my car. I had multiple major repairs that needed to be addressed and everyone here was very helpful and honest. I talked to Po mostly and he kept me up to date on all of my repairs. I’m thankful I found this place. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Overall my impression of this location is very positive and I would happily go here again. I went in to have some tires removed from one set of wheels and placed on another including the sensors. For the amount of work done the pricing was very fair and their timeliness was right as I felt it should be. Finding parking can be a bit tough. But with the location they have it is understandable. Would certainly recommend.
Great customer service, brought my vehicle here to get one of my tires plugged. They identified where the leak was coming from within minutes, plugged it, and had me back out on the road not even 10 minutes after that.
Went in for a diagnostic on a check engine light. They were very open and honest about what they thought was going on. They listened when I explained some relevant repair history and were quickly able to find the problem based on that. It was just a loose spark plug which they fixed immediately for a very fair price.
I've been going there for years with my Dad before he passed and after to buy my tires and for other things I've needed over the years. I went there about 2 weeks ago and bought a tire. Monday morning I had a flat and when I tried to get the lug nuts off I couldn't get them off so I called here to ask if I could leave my i.d. and borrow a tool. Instead the owner Paul and a young man named Cody left their job and came to my house and changed my tired for me and my daughter in law. We were alone with a 2mth old baby and these amazing men came to our house and fixed it and asked nothing in return. We appreciate what they did more than they know because I didn't have to miss work like I originally thought. I have always liked this place but they went over and beyond for us yesterday and we are extremely grateful. Thanks again guys we'll see u in a couple of days.
Did rear brake service on my husband's Ford F150 work truck last wk. Showed us the rotars and pads they took off so we could see the wear. Did same day service for us bc we needed truck bk on road asap. Treated us with respect, were accomodating and were nice on the phone.
Went for 2 used tires. First I called ahead to verify they have my size. After they inflated the tires they put (2) tire plugs in one of the tires. Anywhere i have gone before will rotate your tires when putting 2 used tires on your steer tires. They did not. After driving the vehicle to work the following day I noticed it wasnt riding right. When I called to address the issue I was put on "hold" and was told to come in person with the receipt and speak to the owner. When I asked the owners availability I was answered with an I dont know. When I asked for a time window the employee threw a fit and hung up on me. This shop does shady business and treats their customers like theyre from the peasant class.
Been going here for years!!! Great quality used tires and not to pricy. Most of the employees are fast and friendly. Will continue to come here whenever i need a plug in tire or just a new but used one.
I brought in a tire for repair. They replaced the stem for $15. I gave them a $5 tip & took my tire back to my car. He didn't even put air in the tire! It was 9psi when I put it on my car! I had to inflate it to 50psi. Every day it loses roughly 10psi. I'm going somewhere else to get it repaired. Absolutely ridiculous! Didn't even put air in my tire!
One of my tires had dry-rot and a hole on the sidewall, so I needed a replacement ASAP. I wanted an inexpensive yet reliable 'used' tire that would allow me a little extra time before having to buy 4 new tires.
The tire I bought from Carroll Island Auto had great tread, no visible wear; it looked brand new! I was beyond thrilled! The price was extremely reasonable, the mechanic was knowledgeable, helpful & friendly, and I didn't have to wait long at all! Overall, my visit was extremely positive & I would gladly recommend Carroll Island Auto to family & friends.
Visited this location yesterday wanting to get my tire plugged, found out that it was about to blow do to the tread on the sides. I asked for two used tires... Let me just say these tires weren't used they look perfectly brand new. They even let me pick them out with the help of a employee. Everybody was MORE then polite, just amazing sweet people. The man said it will take about 20-25 minutes put them on and balance them.. He lied it took 13 minutes from when i started counting I spent 20 minutes there total. This place is amazing and I will continue to go there!
I pulled in here with a nail in my tire and I was out in less than 10 minutes. The guy was very nice and actually carried a conversation with me, unlike the ***holes at those bigger franchises. This is a place I'll definitely be coming back to in the near future !!! Thanks guys
