I took four catalytic converter here from a ford explorer they gave me 305 which should have been 313 but the down stream pipe they said was broke up so they gave me 305 they they realized the straight one had nothing in it. I tried to explain that the broken part was in the other one stuck in the sceen. Wouldn't listen so I gave them 105 back then the guy had the nerve to cuss me out the most unprofessional experience ive ever had
I must say, the prices might be lower. But def understandable given location and size. Other than price it's a quick in and out unlike other scrap yards. There customer service is always on deck, and they buy catalytic converters which gives them a big boost for my type of business given I don't know any other scrap yard that doesn't require certain things. But to the point. It's great. Def hope the best for this small yard.
I called before arriving and there was no expectation of what I would encounter. The only instruction was to drive through the gate to the designated area for scrap metal service.
First, not being acknowledged while employees are visibly looking at you. Second, for employees not to clearly be able to explain to a first time customer how the selling process works. The person answering the phones only said the guys in the back will handle things.
I was told by the guys in the back they'd give me just $5 when they hadn't even Weighed it or taken it out of the car. May you receive the same what you're doing back.
Waste of time.
Places is a rip. They judge you as you pull in. Probably cuz I'm not Hispanic. I know that it was close to closing time but only had a few small items and was waved off at the gate 10 minutes before closing time. Won't use this place anymore plenty other scrap yards in the area. Hustle there in the driving rain and hit some traffic on the way or else I would have been there with plenty of time. Just to be waived off at the gate. Thanks Wilson's for wasting my time and gas. Not the first time either I don't even know why I even went there in the first place.
In and out service, great staff, great prices!! cant beat it.
The yard for unloading is very maintained and clean, no worries on popping a tire on a scrap run!
I've been here many times and the staff is always very nice and helpful. they'll tell you ahead of time what they pay and the scales numbers are visible for all to see. So if you know how to use a calculate the expectations are clear as day the second they weigh your junk.
This is by far the best scrap yard around. Always nice and even let me buy some awesome finds or just random parts for tools.
I am not the guy that wrote the back hand compliment. Doesn't help the business if u do it like that. I had a non issues and it was resolved after a polite phone call it was my error btw.
They were starting get busy..with more scrap coming in..And they alot workers to handle the load and have a fair price for scrap.. Fast and Great people there..
I've sent my niece here 2 or 3 times, because I've been so busy and everytime they rip her off, according to the receipt. I have mechanic shops, and scales, and everything so I know what I send. I have 4 mechanic shops in the vicinity of this place and I won't be sending my employee's or customers here anymore. I'll find somewhere else that does good business with everyone, not just people who can call them out on their bs.
Full disclosure: this review reflects not on the business and its services but rather on its behavior on the road.
The 95 road and tunnel north had its fairly usual closure of two lanes (past 8pm) which meant everyone is subjected to the same road congestion. Their white business truck decided it was best to zip around through everyone's safety gap between vehicles to cut ahead the one foot.. Without signal lights/blinkers. Repeatedly they did this even when we were well into the tunnel. Each time caused the cars they cut to break alarmingly to maintain a safe gap.
They had no regard for safety on the road, their own or others. Drive better.
The owner, Dave, as well as Shannon and everyone else that works here are all great, knowledgeable, honest people.
They'll always pay you right and most importantly they'll always grade your material correctly! I've never seen or even heard of any of them playing games when it comes to grading catalytic convertors, copper, or anything else unlike almost every other scrap yard in the Baltimore area. Some other yards don't grade correctly because they themselves don't actually know or worse yet just to make more money on you. These guys know what they're doing and they're truly the most honest people I've dealt with in my 30 years of scrapping.
Best scrap yard around. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Pricing is fantastic. Came here for the first time last year and have only used this yard since.
