My experience at this store today was beyond disappointing — it was flat-out unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, everything felt disorganized and poorly run. There were only two cashiers working, and neither seemed capable of handling the customers in front of them. One clearly had no idea what he was doing, and the other was stuck answering endless questions from a single customer. Because of that, I ended up waiting almost 30 minutes in a line that barely moved. The store was clearly understaffed and completely unprepared. When I finally got to the counter, the situation somehow got even worse. I brought an alternator to return for my core refund, and their system simply would not scan it. After multiple failed attempts, all they could manage to say was: “It’s not showing up in the system,” “We can’t process it,” and “You have to come back tomorrow when the manager is here.” In other words, I wasted my time standing in line just to be told to come back another day. No solutions, no effort, nothing. But the biggest slap in the face? The oil promotion. I literally walked in with the flyer in my hand — the printed booklet with their current deals. The promotion clearly said: 5 quarts of oil + an oil filter for $29.99. So I asked the employee directly: “Does this deal apply to all vehicles?” He looked at it and told me: “Yes, it applies to all cars.” That was the ONLY reason I even decided to buy the oil. But when it came time to pay, the discount didn’t apply at all. Not even close. And instead of fixing it or honoring the printed promotion they themselves handed out, the cashier decided to give me the military discount, which is ONE dollar, as if that was supposed to magically make everything okay. I didn’t come in for a $1 pity discount — I came in for the $29.99 promotion they advertised and verbally confirmed. The deal was supposed to save me almost $15, not $1. And to make things even worse, while we were trying to sort this out, the cashier actually had the nerve to tell me that people were waiting in line, basically pushing me to hurry up. That’s unbelievable. After they wasted almost half an hour of my time due to poor staffing and slow service, suddenly I’m the inconvenience? I told him clearly: “That’s not my problem. You need more staff.” Because it isn’t my job to fix their lack of employees, broken system, or disorganized store. To recap, this location is a complete disaster: • Terrible organization • Extremely slow service • Untrained employees • A system that doesn’t work • Promotions they refuse to honor • False information about deals • No solutions whatsoever • And an attitude that makes it feel like the customer is the problem People come to an auto parts store for solutions, not excuses, wasted time, and promotions that magically disappear at checkout. After the experience I had today, it’s honestly shocking that this store still has returning customers.

Never in my 65 years on this earth driving a car buying batteries....I bought a battery for my Cadillac sts 2006 ..Never looked at the receipt....Has a 36 month warranty...The battery don't match the receipt...It's for a Gold battery but not that one...So who scammed me at this store...18 months left on warranty now I have to go buy another one cause someone made a mistake or scammede at that store...Pissed off customer

Received terrible service at this location. The cashiers had no sense of urgency. I witnessed at least four customers walk out due to lack of service. Our cashier simply clocked out in front of us with no regard to the awaiting customers.

Waited for cashier for ten minutes without acknowledgment. Only one person was working and not interested in service. Walked out without my purchase. Went to Auto Zone down the street. Whole experience from here to Auto Zone and making my purchase there was shorter than I waited for the cashier.

The day your battery dies out of the blue is an obnoxious one, but thankfully Advance got me sorted out. Kai was friendly and knowledgeable, and she swapped out my battery in no time at all. It's really appreciated!

First, they told me the wrong headlight to get for my vehicle and when I tried to return it they wouldn't take it back because it was an electronic. Second, the manager acted like I was doing something horrible when I asked him to match a price, which is just their policy. And, third, four employees were chatting as I was waiting to be helped. Finally I got one of them to check me out and they seemed annoyed. There are other auto parts stores in the area, try them.

UPDATED: ( I realize I needed to edit this review. I had a lot of typos and misspelling, so please know this review is positive for this business ] Busy area, but so convenient to have that type of store, they are right in front area of where travel is huge probably one of the busiest exits off the 95 Interstate in Maryland there a lot of truckers come off 95 car overheating and I needed a new tube for my coolant / Radiator and I live all the way in laurel so it was convenient to have Brandon who is a mechanic at H&H Automotive at 4010 Southwestern Boulevard in Baltimore check out my review for not business if you are looking for any of work on your car they have emissions inspections. But it was really a relief to me able to use Advance Auto [ k&n parts and fixed my car right in the parking lot..] pretty cool guys

Bought a cabin air filter and oil filter. Website says parts fit the car. Cabin air filter didn’t fit, so I tried to return it. Store rep refused the return because I had lost the receipt. Had to call customer service (4/5 too) to get the transaction info. The rep was snarky even after the I got all the info for the return. This is the closest auto parts store but I’ll probably never go here again.

Beyond slow. The Hispanic women only help other Hispanics. They see you need assistance, turn and walk away. No automotive knowledge. Used to be a good place when Freddie, Armando and others worked there. Save yourself a headache and go to the Columbia location. COMPLETELY incompetent. Declined return of an unopened gasket saying the item was not refundable. Pointed to the sign above the cashier's head that clearly stated "opened gaskets are not eligible for refund". Was told "sorry, there's nothing we can do". Shop Rockauto and Amazon instead. Less hassle and way better prices anyways.

Whomever was working the phone at this location on the morning of 4/11/13 at 7:50 am provided the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever received from a chain of this size. She was rude, impatient, inconsiderate, demeaning, and her phone etiquette was enough to make me never want to spend another dollar with this auto parts store and to also tell my friends (and fellow google users) to take their business elsewhere.

They told me they didn't know how to look up a transaction from another store for a car battery warranty claim and to come back the next day. I had a battery in hands and needed to get a ride as it was. I had all the information they needed. Not knowing how to do a simple task wasn't the main issue, it was their attitude. The older gentleman looked and sounded like he was upset that I came into the store and interrupted his YouTube videos. He didn't know what to do and got his coworker who also didn't know what to do. They turned me away and I said thats fine, I'll go to another Advance. He said "yeah, you can do that too." No apologies, just attitude. Went to Columbia and they took care of me and had a great experience. For now on, I'm driving the extra 10 mins past Jessup.

Dwayne was extremely busy helping different customers in store ON TOP OF helping several customers that were on the phone. It didn't matter. I came in with questions about stuff he could help me with as well as stuff he couldn't help me with. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND not only to help me install the items I purchased, but also to help guide me in how I can get other issues fixed with my car. All this was DESPITE his hands being tied up with different customers. I rarely write reviews about good experiences but DWAYNE is the exemplary definition of EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to write this review before I even left the parking lot. That's how grateful I am for the help I received from Dwayne. Please give this man EVERY RAISE AND PROMOTION that is owed to him.

Knew they weren't going to change my battery even though they said they would after I bought it. Claimed they needed to use a memory saver since it was hooked up to the fuse box. Of course it's hooked up to the fuse box. It's a battery. Regardless, once I saw her nails, I knew she wasn't going to do any work.

Shout out to Femi!! For taking my call and reassuring me that he would help me with the purchase and installation of a new battery. I drove 30 miles to receive good service, when 2 other locations made excuses. Even as it was about to rain, he took his time, explained what he was doing, and even told me to get home safe. He was genuinely helpful, It is truly appreciated.

I usually go here to get emergency parts, but this time I just needed to see what the warning light is on a friend's car. They let me borrow an OBII reader (battery is going bad) and the staffer Jamie even verified the problem with their dedicated battery tester. Above and beyond, I didn't even buy anything today. He suggested the best buy to get the parts I needed (their rewards program is awesome) especially the 30 cent per gal discount partnership with Shell. The military discount is awesome. Jamie is a super awesome dude 😎

The product was priced cheaper on the shelf than it rang up at checkout. When they adjusted the price to the shelf price, I no longer was eligible for a military discount. Luckily my cashier adjusted the price to balance my cost. Great job!!!

Although they had the vehicle parts I wanted and the automobile sales representative at front desk was helpful and professional, I spent along time on the queue. Some part I ordered wasn't in store, the representative help me request for it from another location which was shipped overnight to the store for pick the following morning, my experience so far has been good except for the long queue🙂👍

Went to this place around 10am, 12/26/18. This scruffy old guy sporting longish hair was so effin rude to my husband. There were other customers but not in line as they were still choosing whatever items they need so my husband went up to the counter. He hasn't even started what we needed when this rude GRANDPA aka staff mentioned above, started telling him there were other customers before him. Hubby was like, where? We decided to take our business elsewhere. Definitely do NOT go to this place if said employee is there in the store.

The guys here were awesome, they helped me a lot. My truck failed inspection so I stopped by with questions to buy parts to lower costs. They answered every question like it was no bother at all and gave my some references to get help else where. They did a great job and even printed out info for different parts

Went to get a replacement battery, was helped by this guy at register 4(?) right away while another guy at register 2 was on the phone with someone. The one helping me was very friendly and professional, knew exactly what he was doing. I was out of there in maybe 5 minutes thanks to him. Didn't get his name, forgot to ask, and wish I did so I could give him credit.

So apparently this store claims to open at 9:00 am. I went there at 8:45am and decided to wait. The store was not opened until 9:40am Customers had queue out in the cold and drizzling weather just to wait. So what happened is one of the guys in the queue called the store number and this lady answered saying she’s by herself so she can’t open until other workers join her. Wait what!!! Assuming these other workers do not show up meaning she’s not going to open the store. Super pathetic and unprofessional. At least you should hire people who can get to work early. Customers on the queue decided to leave and head to an auto zone 3 miles away. This is super unprofessional!!!

FREDDIE is AWESOME!!! Very helpful,excellent customer service skills in person as well as over the phone. I can't say that much for the guy Mike that works there.He is the total opposite, unprofessional with extremely dry humor and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL!!! FREDDIE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

I love this location, The staff are always helpful. I always come hear to by most of my automotive needs. I get a fair price and I love they offer a Military Discount. But I am really more impressed with the professionalism and the knowledge of the staff. They always explain the difference between products. And even if they have a deal/sale going on certain products, they will a better quality product but cheaper. So you know it is not all about making money for them. They just want their customers to be happy.
