Amazing experience. My whole family uses Tinker. I just moved here and needed an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. I will not use VIP or Prompto. These guys did killer job. Friendly. Give your local mechanic your business! The German Shepherd was the best part😊🙏

This is a great place to get your auto needs taken care of. My door latch broke and door was stuck shut. Tinker got me in fast, and did a great job fixing it, even found a used part, saved me hundreds, appreciate that kind of local service. My family's cars, now have a trusted local business to help take car of their needs.

Honest detailed inspection. I learned things about my vehicle that I did not know. I am a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, so I am not easily fooled. My visit to a dealer where the goal was to sell a new car with a bundle of “safety critical” repairs that needed to be done right now amounting to several thousand dollars was disappointing. Not so at Tinkers. They actually found defects that were missed by the dealer. I actually read the Maine State Inspection requirements. Tinkers inspection was right on. In addition, the office staff was very helpful. If you are looking for mechanical or electrical auto repair, I highly recommend Tinker.

If I don't have my truck, my business comes to a screeching halt. Not only did Tinker's get my truck into their shop quickly, but they diagnosed and fixed the issue (front brakes, pads and rotors) that same day. Most shops would have done that over 2 days, but Tinker's worked their magic and busted that sucker out in half that time! I hope they read this, because I'm truly appreciative of everything they do. From the great communication about what needs to be fixed, to the hard work that the mechanics do to make those repairs happen in a timely manner. Thank you all for being trustworthy, reliable, and honest, it's truly appreciated.

Called for an inspection and they got me in the next day. It was quick and easy. While I was sitting in the waiting room I overheard many conversations with other customers either in person or over the phone and they are so professional, and explained everything in detail. I will definitely be using and recommending Tinker in the future.

Levi and his crew took excellent care of us when our car overheated. Willie's Towing highly recommended this shop. We ended up having two issues and they helped us immensely. We are very thankful that they were reasonably priced and customer service is a top priority.

Tinker Automotive really helped me out when a flat repair became a lot more complicated. While installing my donut tire, AAA cross-threaded a lug nut, subsequently causing my tire stud to snap off. I would have been in big trouble, but Tinker Automotive squeezed me in and got the job done. Even better, the mechanic called me into the repair bay to see and video another structural problem he noticed, with zero pressure to commit to a repair plan. Excellent service at a fair price!

Dropped my car off Wednesday before labor day weekend. Had it back the Wednesday after. Great communication, car rides great again. Highly recommend Levi Tinker. Will definitely be coming here from now on.

Absolutely wonderful shop full of competent mechanics. I always have a great experience anytime I have any sort of work done by this shop. They’re knowledgeable, reasonable, and prompt. I don’t know what more you could ask from any shop. If you’re looking for a mechanic I would highly encourage you to call them up and give them a try.

After breaking down on the road in Portland on our trip to Maine, from Rhode Island, we placed numerous calls to car repair shops for a diagnosis and repair. Responses were not promising, including one place who couldn't look at it until August and one in September. We finally called Tinker on Monday morning at 7:30. Not only did he agree to look at our vehicle, but diagnosed and replaced the starter in our Ford F150 by 5:00 on Monday. Customer service and kindness at its finest. Thank you Tinker Automotive! Stellar work! Unmatched attention to detail. Your car will come out of the shop working better than before it started having a problem. Their communication through the repair process - a stressful time for any owner - is exemplary. Too often we go with the closest mechanic. Tinker is well worth the trip.

We had a lot of problems with our car. It needed a water pump, timing belt, new radiator, suspension work and more. Our usual mechanic doesn't replace timing belts so I searched for a shop that could do all the work. I called a few of the top google rated shops and selected Tinker. I found Levi to be incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and affordable. He explains the problem and what needs to be done in detail. There's not much of a waiting area. That doesn't matter to me but may to others. I was also impressed that he gives discounts to veterans and first responders. I didn't qualify but glad that they do. I couldn't be happier with my experience!

Quick response and honest work. Had alternator issues and rear door wouldn't latch. Offered to replace door latch with a used one so we didn't have to wait for a factory replacement, used part didn't work so he didn't charge for any of the labor on that portion. Alternator replacement is difficult and his pricing was comparable to researched pricing. Would definitely recommend and will be using in the future.

Just had a service and inspection sticker done by Tinker Automotive Professional prompt service amazing rates!! Explained my vehicle needs that would be coming up down the road. I cant speak enough about how good Levi is. He is just so good to deal with. It's hard these days to find someone you can trust, especially in the automotive field. Levi is aces, you can be assured he will do his best and treat you right every single time. Tinker automotive services is rock solid, and I will continue to use them as my go to shop.
