About a week later I tried to get it out but they made excuses to prolong the stay in holding and after another 4 or 5 days i get all the nessisary paperwork and I go there with a trailer...I called 5 timed no answer then once I pull into the lot they answer with the worst attitude ive ever heard , straight disrespectful and the lady was outrageously un professional
Then chirs a male employee was running his mouth talking trash in the background then gets on the phone talking down to me when I have the $1300 to pay them but they would not accept it and found some bs reason to make it to where I cant get my stuff till Monday adding another 100 to my cost...its cheaper and less hassle to just push you're totaled/damaged vehicle home

Called last night for a tow. The driver was great..BUT when my wife called to set it up she specifically told the dispatcher there was 4 passengers well this info was not relayed to the driver who showed up in a tow truck not big enough for all passengers. We then had to Uber a ride home!
They were very fast getting there and the driver was super nice and courteous! Not to mention they were the cheapest price out of 6 towing companies I called! I highly recommend Rick's towing!!
I had an accident and my vehicle had to be impounded at Rick Stone. It stayed there for quite a while before I could get the money together, but they were always very nice and they were worked with me very well and even helped me to save just a bit to help out in these this hard economic period we all face. It was very neat clean and organized of a business and it actually looks like my vehicle came out cleaner on the outside than it did go in and lol. Very quick and easy service to retrieve your vehicle after it's been continuous storage. They deserve a five-star.
These people are scammers charge 430 to pull me out a ditch claiming cause the police called they charged me extra never heard nothing like that I then called back as a different person with a different car and told me 130 don’t become a victim this is not a company I would recommend to my worst enemy
Never a great feeling to have to call a tow company but I’m glad Chad was our tow guy. He was really personable and patient. Went above and beyond with service. Thanks Chad! You are appreciated!
Wonderfull patient people to deal with. Great prices. They quoted me 120 when another guy wanted 700. They towed my 78 bronco down the road no issue. I will definitely be happily using this business again! AAA++
SCAM!! Writing this for anyone looking to use this tow company for your needs. On April 5, 2024 our truck driver was involved in a collision and Ricks Towing was called to the scene. Ricks Towing took the tractor, trailer, and cargo to their yard. Calls were made daily to Ricks Towing asking when the bill can be paid so we could pick up our cargo as they refused to release anything until the full bill was paid. Ricks Towing said they were busy and took 4 days to provide us with the bill. For everyday Rick took his time to provide us with the bill, storage was ADDED. We were charged 5 days of storage when we were not allowed to pick anything up! The second scam this company is running is providing an invoice then increasing the cost at the time of payment. We were paying the invoice then were told "sorry, I gave you the wrong heavy duty fee amount" ??? It was clear this company took advantage of our urgency to pick up our cargo and its just disgusting. We have the invoice, emails, and every call recorded between Yvonne and Rick.
It's easy to be upset when things don't go your way. I've trusted Rick's for years so this review is long overdue. Rick's has helped me more then they probably know, my wife, my mom and today my sister. Not everyone handles stress well so when a company like this makes the process smooth and painless it goes a long way. Thank you to the staff and drivers that have always been there for us.
I personally had a horrible experience with this company. Waited for 6 hours after my insurance company contacted them for a tow. Called them twice and felt like excuses were given. Strange experience. Had to end up calling another tow service.
I was originally quoted 120 something for an under 10 miles tow that got bumped up to 186 when they sent it too the wrong address, I called the lady to let her know she quoted for the wrong address and tried to explain the situation just to be told that my address doesn't exist because she called the police department and asked them, even tho it's 4 blocks down the st. From the PD, then proceeded too tell me that none of its her problem then hungup on me and refused to answer, very unprofessional for a receptionist, named Karen Dugas, seems like a liability personally, but if it wasn't for the driver that helped me get in touch with his boss to fix the problem, Mr Trent, I don't think I'd recommend using, at least unless they replace that receptionist, one bad apple spoils the bunch. I feel the situation could've been fixed alot easier then having to contact the boss, whose taking the weekend for himself and his family. Was told by the driver that I was suppose to be reimbursed for $50 according to the driver from the owner, it was only posted for $20 which I hope is wrong or is a mistake because I know the receptionist makes a percentage per call which I'd hope she's not trying to pocket the other $30, will update further after speaking too the boss personally.
The Office Manager was very rude I appreciate the other kind individuals. We live in a society where people assume that your relationships with ie the Police Department allow you to become rude to others. Maybe Lafayette Parish should hire companies based on how their contractors treat individuals. This could become small steps in building a relationship between law enforcement and the community it serves.
I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I had a negative experience with this business. I had called a week prior to get my car to the dealership, since I wasn't comfortable driving it there. It was $115 in cash/debit, or $120 in credit. I confirmed that I could pay with a debit card in person, that it would be the $115 charge. It was confirmed. The weekend goes by and they blow past the arrival time they'd given me, and after calling *twice*(once a half hour after the latest time they gave me, which was my appointment time, and another time 45 minutes after that), it's been over an hour and a half waiting on a tow truck. I had already missed my appointment at the dealership, but I still wanted it to get there to grab a later appointment. Then I'm charged $120. I know it's only $5, but it's the principle of it all, so I call back and am told that there was a miscommunication, and for cards it's always the credit charge. I was so stressed, I decided not to press the issue any further.
TL;DR- 1.5 hours late, missed my appointment, charged a higher price after confirming a lower price. I will not be using this service again.
Best towing company in town. My company uses them all the time. Fast and friendly. If you get Bobby as the driver to pick you up he's the best they got!
Even if you have Road Hazard Protection, just call Rick's Towing & Recovery directly. (We requested our insurance carrier for the reimbursement.) Save yourself time, money and a ton of hassle by calling Rick's Towing yourself.
Our insurance company had a roster of scam tow companies all out of state. One offshore agent claimed she was local but couldn't spell any streets, the wait was 3 hours and the quote was more than double the cost of Rick's. So, we called Rick's Towing ourselves and received honest service and fair pricing with a reasonable wait time. Highly recommend.
Call for a tow and was about to cancel but no one answered.
Tow pulled up and I got the car to started and told him I wanted to cancel. Was told we need to pay an arrival fee. Called dispatch to find out why ( never had to use a tow so I wanted to understand) and she was rude and nasty and hung up.
The young driver was very understanding and nice though.
Won't be using them again
One of the employees ran their forklift into the fender of my wrecker truck when we were picking up a vehicle from them. They told me they would replace the fender I called four times and 6 weeks later no fender, so I decided to leave a review I will edit review for a better star rating if they replace the fender
Rick is probably one of the nicest people I’ve spoken to over the phone in a a very long time. I was trying to help a friend who was in an accident and needed a tow truck, it was just after 6:00 pm and you could tell it was busy, and that it had been a long day! He was still exceptionally polite, professional and proficient! I would definitely recommend his company if you ever find yourself in need of a tow truck. Thanks, Rick!!
Rick's towed my daughter's vehicle after a wreck. They were professional and helped us through the unfortunate time. I will definitely use them again in the future and I recommend them to anyone requiring towing & recovery services as well as transportation.
No company is perfect and sometimes mistakes are made and some of the ratings on here are bogus. The state regulates what the prices are for certain tows and how payments can be made if called out by the city or state police. Rick's towing doesn't have a choice in this matter. If you call any wrecker service yourself in an accident the price is always going to be regulated by the state law, regardless of who calls for the service. I ask any time you post something regarding a business make sure you know all of the facts. Business’s have laws and regulations that they have to abide by and Rick’s Towing is one of these business that does their best to be professional and make every tow a priority.
I had an oilfield building on a skid to move from an area that was difficult to load. The rotator crane put about 45 minutes into getting the bldg into a position where the trailer could load it. Clint then took his sliding axle trailer and loaded it moved it and unloaded it on my property. I can't speak highly enough of Rick's manager Clint and his crews. I forgot the guys name that operated the rotator crane but he did a great job too. I would give the 5 of 5 except they didn't call me back when I left a message.
After a vehicle accident that I was involved in Rick's Towing picked up my vehicle and was asked to deliver the vehicle to my residence. My truck was then towed to Ricks Tow Yard and unloaded for said "State Inspection of the tow truck". After returning home later that night my vehicle was still not at my home. After contacting the company, they were very rude and told me that they would deliver my vehicle the next day when they would get a chance. So the next day the dispatcher was contacted to find out an estimated time of delivery. She stated that she didn't know, and was very unprofessional. She exclaimed the amount of the tow bill which was double what I was originally quoted and she stated multiple times that it had to be paid in cash. Due to the lack of professionalism and pure rudeness along with the shady way of conducting business I will never use Ricks Towing again and hope that this review will help you with your future experience. I would not allow Ricks Towing to even take my cat to the vet!
I'd give them a negative 0 if I could. They handled my husband poorly while he worked there. He was supposed to get a check today and they are not giving him his check. Bad way to handle business if you ask me. I would never recommend any one use them or work for them. And they talk bad about former employees.
Rude, rude, rude. Staff is ignorant and on a ridiculous power trip. Car was towed there around 10p, went to yard to retrieve keys, the yard boy says I need license and registration. I explained to the yard boy the registration is in my vehicle, ignorant yard boy says I can not enter my vehicle until he sees the registration. Yard boy then forces my hand to call the police station, at which point the Lieutenant informs the yard boy that his logic is flawed and to let me in my vehicle or he would come out. Yard boy immediately let's me in vehicle. So if you are a minority race do not allow this company to tow your vehicle, there are other reviews supporting racial bias. This company should only accept the business of non minorities if they do not intend on treating all customers with decency, courtesy, and respect.
Called Ricks towing at 1908 on nov. 25 to get a price for a tow from new iberia to youngsville ( exact addresses were given before she called the driver for a price) when the dispatcher called the driver and switched back over and advised me it would be $85 i said ok thats great i want the tow truck please send him and app how long till he arrived she called the driver again and advised me it would be 45 minutes. 1hour and 10 minutes later when my driver called to inform me that the ricks driver was lost . I called ricks back and they informed me that i gave them the wrong address but when i told them thats not the case they told me they would review the phone calls now i also have the calls recorded so i went back and listened clearly to the dispather ask me is that lafayette and i replied no maam its new iberia and then gave her the name of the store spanish lake market it as a mcdonalds inside of it long story short i was quoted $85 the driver wouldnt deliver my truck for less than $119 would not allow me to speak to a manager or the owner and they would not allow either so im without my vehicle which i need to repair tonight for work tomorrow as well as all my tools needed to finish a job tomorrow are inside of my truck . 3 hours waiting for tow truck to not only be treated very very poorly but i been a customer of ricks for well over 20 years and i promise you i will pay $200 to never use them again !!!!!!!@!
Don't call these guys believe me. Just charged me 400 dollars literally for 30 minutes...that what it took them to get here and back... for just a simple 10 minute tug. Customer service is customer service. These **** don't have none. Forget about this company...they don't exist and they need to go out if business. In California where it's 2 1/2 more expensive...they don't charge this much. This towing service is a complete scam.
Had given my business a couple of weeks ago. No problem. Today he was on Hwy 90 assisting an 18 wheeler. He flagged me to around. When I did, i was unable to pass or back up on the hwy. He came to window using profanity & insults. Had to call police he was so aggressive. Unbelievable attitude and treatment. Definite anger issues. Can not imagine how he stays in business!
Rick's Towing gave us the shirt off their back! Fast, reliable, and fair pricing! Honest people which are hard to find these days.
