Owners/managers talk to you straight about the problem with your vehicle (what’s necessary to do and what’s non-essential) and communicate effectively throughout the entire process. Costs are straight-forward. Might not be the cheapest (maybe they are) but they have been upfront and honest with me when I show up for brake work.
This place deserves consideration for the effort they put into solving any problem they’re presented with. My vehicle had A/C issues, and they worked countless hours using MANY parts ordered and LOTS of labor hours. It turned into a mess of a project as they discovered the underlying cause through the repair, but they stayed true to their word and communicated effectively through every curveball. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men had to put the car back together again, but my quoted bill never budged a dollar. They took care of everything, my car is perfectly fixed, and they never once misled me about what was happening and why.
Great people make a business, not a great brand name. These people were great, definitely should be considered.
I highly recommend this location for all of your car care needs. I live about 300 miles away from my daughter, who is a freshman in college. We needed some help with a minor but complicated repair. After being treated like a “dumb little girl” by a couple of other places, I called the Meineke on College Ave and spoke with John. John assured me he’d treat my daughter like his own. She took her car over and they determined the issue was a little bigger than initially thought. John made sure he kept in constant contact with me and discussed options. A lesser company could have just completed the repair as asked but John took the high road. A week later, parts were received and the repair was completed. Having a stranger care for my family the same way I do really made our day. As long as we have ties to Baton Rouge, we will use this shop! Thank you John!!!

Service was quick and was treated like family. I started with needing my A/C which Charlie fixed super quick. I had some more car trouble the next day and they were able to diagnose my cars issue quick. Come here if you want quick service and kind workers. Do call ahead though before bringing your vehicle because sometimes the online booking is not always accurate! :)
Thank you Charlie! Second time I’ve been to Meineke with battery issues in my car. Both times they got me in, with no appointment, and got me out in no time. The mechanics and guys in the office are always super nice. Charlie helped me out today checking my battery and was incredibly kind and helped me out with no problem. As a woman, it can be hard to navigate mechanic shops when you aren’t great with car mechanicals, but Meineke has been extremely kind both times to me! I would recommend 100x over!

I can't say enough about the outstanding customer service at Meineke on College Drive! From the moment I walked in, Big Time Bernie and his incredible crew made me feel right at home. I needed a compressor replacement for a 2017 Volkswagen Passat, and mechanic Mike truly went above and beyond. After two long years without a functioning air conditioner, he worked his magic to get it back up and running like new!
And let's not forget about mechanic Charlie—his infectious smile and positive spirit brightened my day! The entire staff was not only kind but also incredibly knowledgeable, making the whole experience a breeze.

Excellent customer service, my scheduled appointment was honored, Mr. Bernie Calvaruso (Manager) showed great professionalism along the mechanic who completed my oil change. The lobby was clean & cool as I waited for my vehicle. I was able to use my coupon (from their website) without any problems. I will be going back when my vehicle needs a mechanic.

Was having problems with my car this morning. Brought it in the Meineke where Bernie was able to get his guys on it right away. They told me the job would take a few hours so I got a ride. Shortly after lunch, Bernie called me. It was a great price. They got it in and out. Amazing service.
Bernie was cordial and informative during my repair. He explained the diagnostic process and repair process. My technician was Charles who came and introduced himself to me to let me know he would be handling my vehicle.
Bearnie and John are awesome, a couple of comics! Great Service, got my car in and out with completed brake job in a couple hours. I'd bring my car back to them no doubt, fair pricing.
Meineke really came through for me!! My A/C went from ‘hellfire’ to ‘Arctic blast’ real quick! They didn’t waste time, got it done fast, and now I can ride around without sweating like I’m in a sauna. 10/10 would let them save me from the heat again!
Do not ever use this business without taking before and after pictures of your vehicle. What was supposed to be a $90 check on the A/C ended up being a $1,200 fix for what they messed up. Corporate was quick to check on the issue although his word was not very trustworthy as he kept defending clear mistakes and expensive mishaps (especially the lack of attentiveness of his employees as they played around for most of the job) however this establishment is not worth your time, money, or effort.

I called this shop at a moments notice and asked them to fix the AC in my 83 yrs old mother-in-law '16 Chevy Sonic. They told me they had two cancelations and took the car in. They gave me an out of the door price, but once they began repairing it it was determined that the parts and labor would be an additional $500. But they honored their original quote. The car was a salvaged vehicle that had been severely damaged. But these guys still fixed the AC at the price they quoted over the phone.
I highly recommend this shop for repairs to your vehicle.

Great would be an understatement for my experience here! Mr. Bernie was so fun to talk to and the mechanics were very warm and welcoming as well! They took great care of my car and were very transparent about the entire process. If you're looking for a place that you can trust, then this is where you need to be!
I came in to get a wheel speed sensor. I had to wait on the part to get delivered. While waiting all the technicians were talking to me and we had great conversations. Everyone that works here is friendly and professional. Tony did a great job and was very a funny but professional guy. Bernie the manager is a very nice, respectful, knowledgeable and funny guy. Their prices are very fair also. After the part got delivered they got it installed in great timing. I would recommend this garage to anyone.
