Cheapest place that I have found for used parts so far and everyone has always been friendly whether it be in person or on the phone. They seem to stay pretty busy so bare with them and they will get you what you need. I will definitely do business with them again.
Bought a used battery couple years ago, "guaranteed good" battery was shot. Took it back, took 20min of arguing with the big bald guy telling me "that's not the same battery" WITH THEIR WRITING ON IT. Fast-forward, bought a part from them, $160, "guaranteed good, 90 day warranty" (had someone else pick it up for me) it was worse than the part I was replacing, WITH A 90 DAY WARRANTY, RETURNED WITHIN A WEEK, THEY KEPT 30% OF MY MONEY. They lost all my business along with the multitudes of people I sent their way. I will no longer recommend anyone to this place, they have went down hill fast, quick to scam people and make a quick buck. Pathetic
Edit: that battery issue was the same it was bought, not 2 years after the fact 🙄
As for the rack and pinion, nothing was said about the tie rod ends, it was the unit itself was wore out and shot. Nothing but slop in the unit, the one I removed leaked like a siv and was in better shape than the one sold to me. Hold yourself accountable, don't be upset you got called out, take it in stride, like I had too when you took my money and ran with it
If you want waste time - call to Paul - he will first make couple mistakes when take order - it's take few days , after that one week he will charge card , and finally after almost two week he will say that something wrong with your part . Avoid this place with this stupid customer service .
Had bought a used engine for my Ford Explorer back in mid April for $100 delivery fee and $600+ my husband Jesse bought. My husband specifically asked if there was any issues with timing, head gaskets, or any other major issues. The guy swore to his word there wasn’t. When it came time to find out what was wrong in it we kept replacing part after part trusting the man’s word. Today we found out what was truly wrong with it. Absolutely insane and now that my warranty isn’t any good I finally have an answer. For like a week we had to call and check when it would come after purchasing only to be let down by broken promises for days until one day an older lady finally showed up who delivered it. Sales person was Paul according to my paperwork. Disappointing. And heart wrenching to a family who works hard for what they have.
200% recommend! I had a group of teens down in Morehead on a mission trip when my transmission connection broke. After calling Morehead Tire & Automotive Repair and finding out they weren’t able to do the repair they recommended Dave and that was a lifesaver! They were out to our location in less than 30 minutes with the tow truck. We said a prayer as they drove away that we would still be able to drive home the next day. Less than 2 hours later we got the call expecting to hear the projected cost and timeframe, and were shocked to hear it was done and ready to be picked up. Cost was beyond reasonable and we truly believe these guys were a blessing sent from God. Great service, doing a rush repair and not costing an arm and a leg - I cannot say enough good things.

If you want your vehicle to go into a black hole and disappear, then go to this shop. While this shop has good prices on used parts and often have good used tires, their mechanic services and courtesy towards customers are TERRIBLE. We have taken our vehicle into them on several occasions and they ALWAYS have them for a month or more. They do NOT return calls or call you back to give you updates or estimates. They are frequently irritable and rude when you do get someone on the phone (usually after waiting on the line for 10 minutes or more listening to the sane car trivia OVER and OVER). They do not stand behind their work. We had a very expensive job done on our transfer case, which went out almost immediately after getting it back. The vehicle went back to them and has been sitting there for over a month while they worked on everyone else's vehicles. We were left without transportation this entire time and finally had to go buy another vehicle. This is TYPICAL for this establishment. If you complain, they tell you to come get your vehicle and take it elsewhere (and then charge you for holding on to it without doing any work). The ONLY reason. we took it back this last time was because they screwed up the expensive repair they charged us for and we wanted them to make it right. We're still waiting almost 45 days later for an update. We will never come back here (and they were recommended by my own mechanic (Morehead Tire - who, after hearing how we have been treated, have told us not to go back there, as well). Beware of this shop.....we will probably have to have it repaired elsewhere and then sue them for the work that had to be re-done. Just avoid the headache and don't take your car here at all.
I purchased a truck bed from this place and paid in full that day with the agreement they would deliver that Friday. 3 and a half weeks later and 3 visits back to the lot and I never received my truck bed. The last time I went back I asked for a full refund which the owner did but not before he blamed all his employees for not getting the bed delivered to me. Guess he didn’t know I stopped in 2 weeks before and he wasn’t there and the employees said they didn’t know why it hadnt been delivered and that he was out on another delivery while I was there. I have purchased items off him in the past and after this experience I will drive to Indiana to get what I need before I give him any of my money. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!!!
We order a lot of parts from Dave's and the parts are always accurately depicted. They're quick to get them to us and always provide great service. We highly recommend them!

Made a deal with them for a motor. Had shipper ready to get it. I called two days before to check in and Dave said motor was priced to cheap and would not sell me the motor. After we had agreed on price, shipper and time. Even offered to pay more for the motor and would not sell it. Would not do business here.
These guys are a joke. They had to take back my buddies truck 3 times bc they kept getting it wrong, and told him he needed a new transmission when he didn't. Seems like they like to pad the bill quite a but, and seem overall low character
Had the transmission we needed at a good price. Let us come there to check it out in person and even knew the story of the car they were pulling from. Good people and trustworthy business.
I live 900 plus miles away and was looking for a steering wheel and they went way out of their way to help me and get this shipped to me. Dave and Paul are absolutely AWESOME!!!! They are better than 5 star business!!!
Had a good experience at Dave’s. Paul and the rest of the team were friendly and helpful. Got a great deal on the parts. Versus buying new aftermarket parts and having them painted I will roughly save $500!
