Disrespect is an understatement. You can be as nice as possible and this staff will still treat you like a dog. Bad news

Absolutely poor customer service. The guy that towed my boyfriend‘s car backed into his car and didn’t even apologize also didn’t even let us know until we noticed it when we got home. The reception lady was just absolutely rude throwing our paperwork and our keys. It’s was the worse experience in my life, I will never use them ever again or recommend them to anyone

Worst towing company I’ve ever dealt just a bunch of grown children thinking they have some power , but yet can’t even do there job right towed wrong vehicle, rude , and unprofessional would never recommend this company to anyone hope it goes out of business very soon

They are very much busy. Even though it was a stressful reason to go here, getting it sorted out and then working with me proved to actually be realities painless, that is, once I was no longer just a phone call.

I was having a complete meltdown until I called. Can't remember the lady's name who helped me over the phone but, she knew exactly where I was and where I was going. Chris I can't thank him enough. He was trying to get the problem resolved before towing my car. Thank you all so much. And the price you can't beat

The driver showed up smelling like alcohol ,weed and charged more then the tow charge

**Edit – January 31, 2025 (Reply to Dave’s Towing):** The **front-end damage is consistent with improper towing** of a rear-wheel-drive vehicle left in park—**as your own driver admitted and as the security footage confirms.** Rest assured, **every party involved**—from the company that vetted you to tow employee vehicles from federal property despite your reputation, to the security company that **wrongfully authorized the tow of a legally parked vehicle**—will be held accountable. Since my respectful attempts to resolve this matter have been ignored, I have **no choice but to escalate it further.** This situation may result in **financial and reputational consequences** that could have been avoided with a more professional approach. Your driver **damaged my vehicle.** As the problem worsens, you continue to **deny responsibility**, as if **tow companies are incapable of mistakes.** I’ve worked with tow companies **longer than most of your employees have been alive**—as a **former shop manager at U-Haul,** I’ve seen firsthand how improper towing causes serious damage. The **difference?** The reputable companies I worked with **acknowledged and corrected their mistakes.** A **simple, professional resolution**, such as offering a refund or addressing the issue properly, would have been far more productive than ignoring valid concerns. I had hoped for a reasonable outcome, but I will now pursue other avenues to ensure accountability. ±+++++++++++++++++++++++++ I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience with Dave’s Towing. My vehicle, a 1995 BMW, was towed from my workplace, and now it has front suspension damage that wasn’t present before. This seems to be yet another case of a towing company opting for a “quick hook-up and go” without proper care. For the record, BMWs—especially rear-wheel-drive models—should be towed on a flatbed to prevent damage to the drivetrain, suspension, and transmission. Dragging a car in park, as the driver admitted to doing, risks severe damage to these components. It’s clear this towing procedure was not done correctly, and the result speaks for itself. Dave’s Towing has refused to take responsibility for this damage, offering the dismissive response: “I’m absolutely sure I didn’t damage your car.” This kind of denial only adds to the frustration, especially when the circumstances clearly suggest otherwise. To anyone considering using this company: if you value your vehicle, look elsewhere. Even calling a friend with a tow rope might be less frustrating. The $190 fee I was charged is outrageous given the damage and poor service. Lastly, I’ve noticed this company has a habit of commenting on negative reviews to belittle the reviewers rather than addressing the issues raised. With a 2.8-star rating, maybe Dave’s Towing should focus on improving their service instead of trying to discredit their customers.

They towed my boyfriend’s car, told him he would originally have to pay a certain price but when he came and got his car an additional 30 dollars was added to the cost. Takes advantage of broke college students!! Bad hospitality and rude service :(

I called needing to tow my car to a car lot and didn’t realize which place I called at first— I forgot how rude they were! I can’t remember if the drivers themselves are like that, but the call staff definitely are… and they slammed the phone… my bad for not being fast enough lol. *the prices were pretty standard from what I saw calling around, except if you pay by card it’s 4% more (I think for the processing fee maybe?)

Update to the update: Turns out vehicle was stolen. So Dave you sticking with that story? Update: Pick apart google reviews all you want Dave and anyone else, but go read some yelp reviews about this place. Many of them are decent people that you've completely screwed over. Don't believe me go read the many, many, many, yelp reviews. Probably wise after all that reading that this guy carries. He's screwed over some really good people. Never been trolled by the owner of a company before. Tenant?I believe you've gotten your problems mixed up. Not sure what research you did but your wrong on all accounts. Noticed you took some digs at my other reviews while not disputing anything that's ever said about your rotten employees in this one. Because like the others this review was honest. judging by your other reviews i would say its obvious you are instrumental, (Look it up if you don't know what that means), in your "companies" horrible reviews. OP: I use this term very loosely in regards to the "lady" that answered the phone. Very rude, just calling to see why this company would've dropped off a vehicle in our lot that doesn't belong to anyone. Instead of listening to what I was asking she kept interrupting and waiting to speak. When I started laughing because she was asking me for answers that I literally just answered. She hung up. But again she wasn't listening. I.e. tried telling her invoice number for the receipt I found, she then immediately asks for the invoice number before I'm even finished giving it to her, immediately asked for make and model and interrupted to do it while I was giving it to her. The whole conversation went like that and she just got more hateful. That lady is rotten to the core. My very first experience with this place and never no matter what will I ever recommend or use this place. I'm sure the owner will get on here and have something say. We'll FYI I didn't do anything wrong, wasnt even about me parking or driving anywhere, you abandoned a vehicle in our parking lot which as your aware is illegal and I wanted to know why.

Don't give this "business" a single cent. I can't wait for them to be out of business within the year. They charged my roommate $165 in cash (don't take credit or debit) after originally telling him it was $160. (The sign at the location where he was towedbsaid $138) he ended up having to pay $170 because somehow a business dealing strictly in cash didnt have $5, really shows how much their company is thriving. If 0 stars were an option that's what I would put.

Very rude low lifes! I would not let this company any where my property. Update. I was walking my dog across the street and the driver was cursing at an 80 year old woman. She asked if he could check to make sur sure her cat did not get in his truck. He told her to f off . I think I heard that word 2 more times. So besides being trashy I guess he is a liar as well.

My car was towed at the request of my apartment complex due to expired tags. I fully understand, that part is on me, Dave's Towing was just the one to do it. I have seen that they tend to rebuttal any criticism with "pick where you park better" or similar phrases, so I want to get ahead and say I know, lesson learned. Does not excuse what happened after they had my car. I don't drive much, so it took a few days for me to notice my car was missing. Again, that is on me, not Dave's. What happened after was a mess entirely caused by them. Once I realized my car was gone, it was a Friday night, so I called because their hours are listed as 24 hours. When someone picked up, it was from an answering service rather than the company itself. Luckily, I was able to confirm that they had my car, but was informed I could not pick it up until Monday. I was frustrated, but knew there was not much I could do at that point, so I waited it out. Monday came and it was a mess. I needed to get my tags renewed and ended up stuck at the county clerks office trying to get it done so it would not immediately be towed again. I could not pick up the car first, as it can really only be driven when absolutely necessary, as my catalytic converter had been stolen recently. So I called and asked if I could set up an appointment after hours to pick it up. State ordnance requires that someone be available to release your car 24 hours, even if by appointment. I was told I could not set up an appointment, even though someone was infact there 24/7. The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude and condescending. I could feel myself getting upset, and did not want to stoop to her level, so I ended the call and continued my wait for my tags. I got my tags quicker than expected, and was out the door, rushing to the lot to pick up my car. I called back to confirm the total, to only be told they would not release it unless I was there within 6 minutes (it was 4:54). The website lists that their public hours end at 5:30, but the woman insisted that it was incorrect on the website, and I was out of luck. I again asked about scheduling an after hours appointment, and was told that dispite local ordinances requiring otherwise, they only make appointments when the car had been towed same day. I again was becoming frustrated, and knew I was not getting anywhere, so I ended the call, and had to wait until today (Wednesday) to pick it up. They charge for weekends even though they do not give an option to pick up on weekends or even speak to someone on their staff, so I am now out quite a bit of money. Would have been great to be able to use that money to repair my car, but now I guess I am out of luck, huh? But I digress. When I picked up my car, the woman at the window (not the same one I had spoken to on Monday) was fairly quick and nice, no issues with that. I had some trouble locating my car, but someone was able to help me find it, which was good. When it was located though, another car had been parked on it, and had hit my car. They hit my car with someone else's car, leaving a good bit of damage on both cars. I have attached a picture of the car in contact with mine, and the damage that was left on mine. The person who moved the car just wiped over it with his hand and walked away, saying nothing. I was in a hurry, as it was raining and I have to have my window down when I drive so I do not end up with CO2 poisoning (the exhaust leaks into the car when it is driving due to the missing catalytic converter), so I did not stop to bring it up. I took pictures of the damage when I got home. The fact that they damaged my car while it was in their possession is unacceptable. No, my car is not super nice or in great condition. But that does not make it okay for a company that specializes in towing and holding cars to so unprofessionally handle vehicles. Once I get some outside advice on how to handle the situation, I intend to call again, as it is frankly unacceptable for them to have damaged my car.

The towed my car to their lot and charged me for the towing and storage. They said that my car was reported as abandoned. Only an idiot would think that a vehicle with a license plate recently renewed and with items still in the car was abandoned. The people were somewhat nice, except for the woman at the office who said different things everytime I talked to her. Fortunately, it was cheaper to get my car released that they said originally, but it should never have been towed in the first place. They basically stole my car and then I had to ransom it. In their reply Dave's Towing admitted that the person that reported my vehicle as abandoned is an idiot. That does not make the tow truck less of an idiot. It also does not excuse the woman at the office less incompetent and rude, which she was. She started by stating that she told things to me that she did not tell me over the phone. Then she corrected to that she told the policeman. I am not the police. The charges were different than what I was told over the phone, nor was I told that they would not accept a check, nor that they wanted cash. She could not keep her story straight. Always towing services are supposed to check with the police in Indiana. Dave's Towing did not do that. Also, if a vehicle is abandoned, who do they expect to pay the towing and storage fees? No person is going to pay towing and storage fees for a vehicle that they abandoned! The only way that I knew that my vehicle had been towed to their lot was the device that I had for locating it. I was informed that it had been towed and impounded. Finally, the woman in the office was extremely rude on both the phone and in person.

I would give this 0 stars if Google allowed it. The customer service is absolutely horrible. They towed my car at 10:30 am, and I wasn’t able to get it back till 1:30 pm. It was absolutely ridiculous how the lady responding to my questions was unable to locate my car. I waited over an hour and a half for the driver who towed my car to get it back. The sheer lack of communication between customer service and towers is heinous. I hope to never interact with them again. If you are going to tow somebody’s car, at least return it at a reasonable time. I had to miss work because of this issue.

Today I had a great experience with Dave's Towing. My car broke down 15 miles away from home, and after not being able to get a hold of any towing place, Dave's came to my rescue and for a very understandable and affordable price. The lady on the phone was so sweet and helpful, and Tony, the man who towed my car was so kind to me. Made the horrible day I was having much better. I highly recommend their services and will be using, and requesting for Tony again whenever I need it. Thank you for the great service!!

My car was hit yesterday and I was referred to Dons Towing thru my insurance (but also found them on Google). I spoke to Donice about getting my car towed. She could not have been more pleasant and her customer service is excellent! Very stressful time and she put me right at ease and took care of me! Will recommend this place again and again!

So i have read all the reviews for Dave’s Towing and noticed that there are quite a few negative reviews which can be expected since they work with the public and lord knows you can not please everyone out there. I also noticed that all the negative reviews were not from actual paying customers who have used their service but from individuals that have had their automobiles or motorcycle impounded for being parked illegally, parked in the wrong designated parking area or are inoperable. Now it seems to me that the ones who are complaining about their service are customers that felt like they was impounded wrongly or that the tow service stole their automobile. I can honestly say that I know I wouldn’t be very happy with anyone that impounded my automobile weather i was in the wrong or not, and of course any company that deals with impounds are going to have a negative remarks about them. I have witnessed this company in action several times impounding automobiles due to the area I unfortunately live in. Hell they even impounded me once. At the time i was loud and cussing the drivers out because i felt they had done me wrong. Once it was explained to me I calmed down and understood why I was impounded and accepted the fact that i was in the wrong. These people are doing a job it’s nothing personal and depending on how you treat them determines how they treat you and how cooperative they are in helping you get your automobile back. So before you leave a negative review and complain about the service the driver and the fees ask yourself why you were impounded and how if this was the job you had to feed your family and pay your bills would you react to someone that is screaming at you cussing you, assaulting you and threatening you. I know it made me look at the situation in a different way.

My daughter’s car would not start in the parking garage of the Galt House. They came right away and even offered to try a few tricks before having to go through the process of towing. They were able to start the car and decide I had a dead battery. They were not even going to charge us for the service call, but I paid them half the price anyway wonderful people highly recommend.

I work for an apartment complex in. Dave's towing always has same day service and pick up cars quickly. I would highly recommend them if you're looking for your card. To be told out of a ditch or needing help to get a car picked up. They've always been friendly and very professional highly recommended

They really need to rethink the people that they hire to answer phones and to be face to face with the public!! How are you already so rude & disrespectful so early in the morning Also you alls record keeping sucks because how do you not no where a car is that you towed and that was never picked up by the owner or the finance company!! On one call you say vehicles that aren’t picked up get salvaged/junked and the next call you claim that you all can’t salvage cars because it’s in my name!! If you claimed a letter was mailed to the owner & the finance company then why didn’t either party receive the letter and why is the finance company still actively looking for the vehicle? How about you show the letter that was sent, how about you state where the unpicked up vehicles go? If you don’t like your job quit and get a new one because your attitude, tone, & behavior over the phone is condescending, rude, & the absolute worst for the position you chose! Update Edit:(Response to reply) it’s funny that you now know the vehicle that I’m referring to but didn’t when I called! And regardless of time frame if you had up to date record keeping you would have a system for unclaimed vehicles, just like any other company that hold records for certain amount of time and has options to obtain records that are older! But don’t worry you all will receive some paper work in the mail very soon!!! Also do better with your rude & disgusting attitude like so many others have mentioned!!

I have never been more impressed with professional hospitality and the way, Stacy and Angie cater to my needs while taking my car which was towed from a gas station where it broke down, was on my way to hospital and they took me to get food because my blood sugar was low and they could’ve just not cared at all. They also allowed me to ride when I was really in a bad place. They were able to talk me into getting the help. I needed to better my life and help me see how good life can be when you’re just focused and doing the right things. I will never forget this short trip or these two amazing people and I would recommend Dave’s towing for anyone who needs help with their vehicle and I am so grateful that I was able to meet these amazing and empathetic people. They put a silver lining across it and made the experience much more enjoyable than it should’ve been all things considered.

I spoke with Ms. Denise earlier this morning. She was so polite and expeditious to have my vehicle towed. Unfortunately beyond Dave's towing and my control, I had to cancel my tow. I would definitely recommend Dave's towing. That being said, people need to realize that although they do tow vehicles, they have an obligation to their contractors to impound vehicles when asked. These negative reviews seem overly exaggerated and unfair. Yes, it sucks to have a vehicle impounded but Dave's towing isn't out here looking for vehicles to impound to make our lives miserable, they need to make a living like all of us. Again. I appreciate you Ms Denise and all at Dave's towing for being ready to help me out when i needed you all.

I wish I didn’t have to leave 1 star because they are undeserving. The driver towed the wrong vehicle and then threatened to run people over even after it was explained that he had the wrong vehicle. Response to the owners comment: I definitely do not have the wrong company. It was 100% YOU sir. It’s crazy how many bad reviews you have and in every single one of them you take zero accountability for your company and staffs wrong doing. You accused several other problem of lying but all these random people who have never met a day in our lives all have a similar complaint. You are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Do better.

This company towed my car and in less than 30 min I called them to give me the address so that I can go to pick up my car. After giving me the address, the lady on the phone told me they are closed, that I won't be able to pick it up the same day. I reiterated trying to get back my car asap. This happened on Saturday. Ridiculously, they managed to keep the office closed until Tuesday, from which the charged me $400. This kind of service is poor, unprofessional and mostly misleading. A company that tows 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week has to be open for the same hours to release people's car. And again, the way they charge fees is critical. I was given a handwritten receipt... the other crazy thing is they accept only cash. To my best experience, I think all of these tactics were used to take out of my pocked much money and they succeeded! Unprofessional.

Absolutely awful. My car got towed from my apartment. I called and told them I would be one minute late because their hours are NOT on google. I told them all I needed was to get my life depending medicine out of my car and that they could even keep the car while they were closed over the weekend and earn more money off me. The insanely rude lady at the front desk refused to let me into the car without paying and I told her I didn’t have cash. After her yelling at me back and forth she rudely asked for my debit card and then basically demanded I thanked her for doing a favor after being the rudest person I have ever encountered. Not to mention the sticker they put on my car was a warning and said next time I parked there I would be towed but they towed it first shot.

The lady in the mid-day shift has excellent customer service. She help me get my jeep towed. She had urgency and sensitivity. Very nice not rude. Call them first before you call anyone else. You will waste your time with the other towing companies.

Was parked in a parking garage and he parked next to me, opened his door into my car, left damage, and walked away. I tried to address him and he ignored the situation all together. He was parked in a spot reserved for cancer patients who are receiving treatments. I watched him walk away from the garage in a different direction than the treatment area and did not enter the building for treatments. Called the office number to express my concern and they told me he is the owner of the company. What a terrible representation of the business.

I have been dealing with Daves Towing for about 6 months now. I have a parking lot that is private property with signs posted but people continue to park there that shouldn't be. I set up a contract with Dave's Towing to help with this problem and it most definitely has helped keep people from parking there that shouldn't be. I still have some people that don't know how to read and will park on the lot. I call up Dave's Towing and they send someone out to tow away the car or cars as quickly as possible. I am glad I started using them because they have been very helpful. I wanted to give a few compliments to some of the workers I have dealt with also. I have nothing but good things to say about Carol who is one of the Dispatchers there. Anytime I call she answers or calls right back if she was taking care of another customer. She has always been professional and super nice to me and really easy to deal with. I also wanted to give a compliment to Tony and Chris who are a couple of the drivers. Anytime they have come to tow a vehicle they are very professional and easy to deal with. They are really good at what they do and treat everyone with dignity and respect. They always go above and beyond what they need to do and I appreciate their help. I would definitely recommend this business and Carol, Tony, and Chris. Thank you for everything you do and keep up the good work.

I had a great experience. Friday afternoon before 4th of July my car broke down on a busy street 30 miles from my home. Dave's was the 3rd that I called. Nobody else could even make it. I expected to be ripped off because of the whole situation, not at all. I was given a discount. The woman at dispatch was wonderful. Tony, the driver, communicated that I should go on home and he would pick my car up and bring it to me so I didn't have to wait in the heat. He was very quick and professional. Excellent service. I highly recommend them. Thanks Dave's!
