I scheduled a tow time to have Pinky's Tow meet me at the Louisville Impound Lot to retrieve a vehicle from there. I arrived 15 minutes early to take care of the necessary paperwork for the vehicle to be released . After waiting 20 minutes past our meet time I gave Pinky's a call to inquire about where the tow truck was. The individual who answered the phone informs me that he should be there and that he would contact the driver to call me on my cellphone. I waited an additional 10 minutes for the driver to contact me (he did not) , at this point I'm getting upset because it's getting close to another days charge for being on the lot.I give Pinky's another call and the same guy I spoke with before, transfers me to dispatch who informs me that the driver assigned to meet and retrieve my vehicle would not be coming because he was headed out of town to retrieve another vehicle. I assured I had ample enough time to make sure I would not incur additional fees and express this when I set up the meet time and location. l asked the individual at dispatch why wouldn't they send another driver or contact me to inform me they would not be becoming. He got quiet, and when I informed him that I would be writing a review about their shady business practices. He hung up. Could you imagine if this would have been your loved one stranded and expecting this establishment to retrieve their vehicle at night and never showing up or contacting you ? Stay away from this untrustworthy establishment.
Very bad job they are taking the cars. No reason. Pay close attention when towing a vehicle because the money is not free. This has happened to me three times this year. I have everything in order, I pay for parking and police for this insurance in my condominium and they come in and do everything to get my money. It is an intolerable lack of respect. It is too much. It is not fair. I leave it to God since there is no law or authority apparently with this company.
Very bad experience with the towing company. The workers have been abusive. They took my vehicle three times in one year from my condominium. The last time without reason because I had my sticker. I think it's discriminatory because they already know my car. They know I live there. I don't know what's going on with them. They didn't do well. I work there
Sorry excuse of a company towed my car (not even my car) as I was visiting my parents apartment at midnight for ONE. HOUR. and currently about to sleep in front of the tow lot at 1am with my dog since I can’t retrieve the car until the thing gets signed off and notarized at 1 am in the morning. Don’t ever plan on having VISITORS at The Rye Apartments in Louisville they WILL get towed.
Tow cars for any and every reason. The way the bank on people and use people should literally be a crime. They towed my U-Haul when I was in the middle of moving… and towed my cars 6 times for idiotic reasons they can’t even explain.
Horrible!! Pickup my car from Indiana Trail shopping center because my car stop as I was leaving one of the public shopping stores. It was around 10pm .As I returned with my tow man around 1230am my car was gone! Ok! I understand the private lot policy, my car wasn't there long also the charges they came up with was ridiculous.
i unfortunately had to call for a tow on the side of the Watterson late last night. I called and a real person answered me immediately. When I got impatient and called back after 20 minutes, they answered again and told me the truck was 10 minutes away, I didn't get the name of the person on the phone, but I appreciated their reassurance. Austin picked me and my car up. He was so sweet to me. I was crying and just overall upset. He was very courteous and kind. Great customer service!
1st time getting my car towed. Was giving incorrect information about where I could park and came out the next morning, car was gone. But, the lady that took care of me was very nice and understanding. Only reason it's not five stars is because it was incredibly hot and humid in the building.
My vehicle got impounded because I parked in the wrong spot and the vehicle was not in my name yet. They help me with the steps I needed to retrieve my vehicle. and all my belongings were still in the vehicle Unlike most Impound places They were very helpful Definitely the big back guy with glasses at the pay window
Where do I even begin to describe the overwhelming disappointment and frustration I experienced with Pink’s Towing Impound and Recovery?
I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but after what I went through, I feel compelled to share this in full honesty to help others avoid a similar situation.
My car was towed due to expired registration tags, something I fully acknowledge. However, what followed had nothing to do with fairness or genuine traffic law enforcement.
When I arrived to retrieve my car, I was immediately pressured to sign a liability waiver before even being allowed to inspect my vehicle. That alone raised major concerns. When I refused and insisted on inspecting first, I discovered new visible damage to the rear of my car that absolutely was not there before.
When I pointed this out, the staff immediately denied responsibility without even bothering to inspect the vehicle. I asked for their insurance information, something any legitimate business should provide when property is damaged under their care and they refused.
To make matters worse, I was personally insulted by the employee, who mocked my financial situation when I raised concerns.
What they didn’t know is that I am just a college student trying to make a living and make a difference in the world, not someone willing to work for, or depend financially on a company that profits by exploiting the working class. Their insult says far more about their values than it does about mine.
Rather than handling the situation professionally, they demanded I leave the property. I was forced to pay $230 to recover my damaged vehicle, with no support, no accountability, and no formal process to address the damage they caused.
Although towing for expired tags may technically fall under traffic law enforcement, what occurred here had nothing to do with protecting public safety and everything to do with exploiting minor technical violations for profit. True enforcement serves the community by prioritizing safety, fairness, and accountability.
Predatory enforcement, by contrast, selectively targets minor mistakes only when it generates revenue, not when it genuinely improves public welfare.
Imagine if firefighters prioritized responding to small trash fires in rich neighborhoods not because they cared about fire safety, but because each response earned them a cash bonus. That’s what this felt like: profit-driven selective enforcement, disguised as public duty.
These actions violate basic standards of fair treatment, transparency, and professionalism.
History reminds us that legality has often been used to shield unethical behavior from segregation laws to child labor to debtor prisons. We must recognize that businesses must be held to higher ethical standards than simply following legal technicalities.
I strongly urge anyone reading this to be extremely cautious.
Consumers deserve real protection, not legalized exploitation disguised as traffic law enforcement.
Be careful with them if you have a good nice car they will try to keep it. I brought a car from a auction they towed it from my in-laws apt 3hrs later I didn’t get to do anything with it but they wouldn’t let me grab the title or call the place I got it from

I was stuck downtown when I discovered that my car was not going to start after so many tries and so many struggles I had to search for a towing company which none zero was available.. there was one com. Called Pinky’s helped me, this guy name Marcus came in he was professional, super nice, and knew what he was doing… and on top of everything else he came at the time he said he will be there… try them you will not be disappointed…
I ended up with TWO flat tires while traveling back to the area from out of state. Late on a Friday night, they answered the call right away and sent a truck all the way to Eminence to help. Caleb made sure they sent me somewhere I could get the tires I needed and even called ahead to be sure they had my tires. Wayne arrived quickly and transported my car safely to the 24-hr tire repair service and didn’t leave until he knew we would be taken care of. I needed to have my car towed, and decided to use this company after scanning Google reviews. We ended up meeting with a gentleman named Wayne. He met up with me and my husband and followed us to our vehicle location and was just an all-around awesome guy. He let me know exactly what he was doing and gave me advice about what may be wrong with my vehicle, even went the extra mile to see if maybe one of my coolant hoses got disconnected. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent, I highly recommend this company and if you happen to get Wayne, you might just make a friend along the way.
