My daughter was on her way to Goodland & had car problems. Had a good friend in Goodland assist her when she got to town. When us non mechanics couldn't figure out the issue, he told me, I got a guy . Oh did he have a guy! First & foremost Jim is an outstanding guy and mechanic. Jim took time to fix the issue at hand went above & beyond to make sure my daughter could make it back to Scott City tonight in her car. Very upfront, kept me in the loop, sent pictures explained what was in the pictures. The phone conversation was outstanding as well. Just a great all around caring man & father. Today dealing with Jim reassured me there are really good people in the world. Western Kansas Proud! Thanks again Jim. I appreciate you sir!

I just called about any used tires, and the guy didn't even know if he had the tire I needed and was just rude and didn't care about helping me. Which is funny because I'm sitting in front of his shop and there are tires out front and one of them is the same tire I asked if he had.
Came in to get a part replaced, picked up the car with the part not replaced. Had to get it elsewhere a few days later when the car broke down again.
We were still charged the full price, and had to wait the full period. He told us the part was replaced, but we got a look ourselves with another mechanic and the part was still old and dirty. Apparently some sort of cleaning fluid was sprayed in there.

Very honest man to deal with. My son was a student in Goodland and Jim always was more than fair and honest on work that needed to be done and also on what didn’t. He never tried to oversell. Our family highly recommends this shop.

Last week, my 15yo Kia suddenly had a battery issue (and then some) when I arrived at my sister's house. I was 7 hours away from home and didn't know who to trust. Thankfully, my sis had been to JG once before, so we had the tow truck take it to Jim. Listen, not only is he super knowledgeable and respectful, he is patient and ready to explain things in simple terms. Once he figured out the issue and had my hunk-of-clunk running, he called to reassure me that I'd be able to drive home safely. And no, he didn't charge an absurd price, quite the opposite (based on rates at home) and I'm so grateful. In the end, I had a smooth ride home and didn't have to lose sleep. Thank you, Jim!
The guy who helped me was so friendly and honest and helpful! The type of tire I needed is uncommon, so he didnt have it, but he helped me figure out where I could go to get it, and helped me figure out what I should pay, so that nobody would try to rip me off. He went above and beyond!
Jim and I go way back and as a mother of three “girls” I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do what needs to be done to get the job done and keep my girls safe...
One of our tires developed a bubble while heading back to Denver via I-70. Called around to a couple places, but couldn't find one that was still open as it was about 7pm. Jim (owner) was happily willing to make the trip back to his shop (even though he was also officially closed) to put on a pair of new tires. Tire selection was decent. Service was fast. Super laid-back/conversational atmosphere like you'd hope to experience at a privately-owned, small-town shop!
