I've been meeting to leave a review for a while now as I've not seen many reviews on complete engine replacements, I have a 2015 GMC Sierra that lost compression in one cylinder. I had them install a new engine with the displacement on demand delete and these guys knocked it out of the park.. it took him a week to get my motor and 3 days to get it installed. I couldn't be more happy with the entire process. I hear nightmares all the time about taking several months to have your engine replaced.If you're looking to have it done in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable amount of money , this is where I would go!!

It's great walking into a business, be recognized and called by name. These guys are fast, quick to respond to unforeseen circumstances and stand behind their work. The best in town.

I love that they know my car and what I need from it. They always check everything because I drive the highways a lot and need my car reliable.

They were very transparent about the work they did to my vehicle. They left it ready to go in a timely manner!

Ray was great to work with on our mutual customer’s claim. The shop was organized, communication was steady, and everything moved along without complications. Always good to support a small business that handles things professionally and keeps things moving.

Dropped off my car November 7th. Gave them a call December 6th, a full 30 days later, and they hadn't even looked at it yet. They were unable to perform a wheel bearing change, saying it needed some specialty tool they didn't have because of rust? Charged me $750 for some front brakes. Absolutely stay away. Totally unacceptable taking 5 weeks for front brakes. Insanely incompetent staff. Tried to upsell me repeatedly over the phone. Edit: they called me while im on vacation during the holidays to harass me for leaving a 1 star review. Actually insane behavior. I have receipts for exactly how much they charged me if anyone's doubting it.

Broke down on the way from cali to Connecticut, these guys were totally booked for a week but still decided to help me out, was a simple fix but they easily could’ve said can’t help you come back later. Great guys and shop

These fellows are friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. They gave me a reasonable estimate before they did the work, then completed it in a timely manner. They even offered to pick me up when the work was completed, which is a wonderful accommodation!

Great work done. Fairly quick, I did take it in at a really busy time tho, but they got to working on it real soon. Let me know before hand everything that was going on and that needed fixed. Wonderful and very personal customer service, especially from that guy Ray! Overall great experience!

Came in for a transmission and torque converter replacement and these guys were great. They would call me every week giving me updates on where they were at with my warranty company. Would definitely recommend!

They were a great help. It ended up that I was unable to afford the transmission replacement. They were a whole day faster on the diagnosis than they said they would be and I greatly appreciate the info and professionalism. I will definitely be going back for my maintenance needs.

You wouldn't believe it but I just got back from Florida two days ago, it ran perfectly for almost 3 weeks and over 4,500 miles. Thanks for getting me up and running and I'm still waiting on the timing chain!;)

Excellent service! Ive had 2 repairs done there recently. One, a complete brake and realignment job. The other a simple battery replacement. In both cases they were able to get my car in same day and repairs done either same day or next day. The price was exactly as quoted and far cheaper than I’ve had done at other places. I used their super convenient key drop for a Sunday drop off. This is a fantastic local business I’m happy to recommend to anyone!

One of my biggest worries I had when our daughter decided she was leaving Michigan and going to College at K State. Was that I would not be there to help her when vehicle issues happened. I cannot begin to explain how comforting it was to have Ekart automotive be there for her and me when her truck needed work. She will be in school there for 7 more years and Ekart automotive will be getting our business every time we need repairs or service.

I had a wonderful experience with Ekart Automotive. I usually take my car into the dealership but the local one was very expensive, unfriendly, and took a very long time to get the vehicle fixed. Ekart was very friendly and the communication is great. They got my vehicle looked at and fixed in a day. And they are very reasonably priced compared to other places. I will be bringing all my vehicles to them from now on.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Before I moved out of Manhattan in June of 2024, I brought my truck in for an oil change, brakes to be serviced, and just to have everything looked at before I drove the 2000+ miles back home. I had work done here previously, and felt like they had done good work so I trusted what they said. When I had my oil changed recently (the next time following it being done at Ekart in Manhattan) the tech informed me that I had been driving since June of 2024 on a broken oil filter, and that it appeared that the tech at Ekart tried to get it off, broke it in the process and left it on my truck. This is absolutely unacceptable from an auto shop - this was probably the most basic maintenance request someone can make, and while I understand that my truck has a hard to access oil filter it isn't an excuse for not changing it, charging me for a complete oil change, and letting me drive halfway across the country on a broken oil filter.

Ekart has always gotten my 2020 and 2006 vehicles in quickly. less expensive than the dealers for newer car for everything, oil change to new breaks and tires. The savings has really added up with required repairs for the older vehicle. I had an alternator go bad months after they put it in and they replaced this free of charge to me. Nice friendly and always extra helpful which makes all the difference in this world

Ekart has been great ever time I or my friends have gone. Very kind an polite staff. Very understanding of my finances and situation needing a car. Willing to fix the things necessary to drive while also ensuring they are not charging extra for any "Very important so we just went ahead and did it and are charging you now *cough* MIDAS *cough**cough*".

After my daughter’s car broke down last month and not having any idea about where to have it towed to in Manhattan, I saw Ekart’s Google ad and it mentioned that it was a family owned business that has been around for over 70 years. That was the determining factor for me to trust them with her car which she frequently drives back and forth from Wichita. They were able to diagnose the complicated issue and had it back up and running in less than 2 days and it has run great since the work was done. I appreciate how they took care of the car and how they treated my daughter during the whole process. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing routine to complex work done on any car and will definitely use them again should the need arise. Five Stars.

I have been to Ekart couple of times. First time, was looking to get engine timing belt replaced ( routene maintenance ). I got quotes from a few places and decided to go with Ekart because of best price and good ratings. Another time, I dropped the car for diagnostics as I heard weird noise from the car. They troubleshooted and fixed the issue and were honest to charge me very minimal as it was not a major issue and just an hour of labor. Overall, they are honest, reasonably priced and competent.

Excellent experience. The gentlemen at Ekhart were super accommodating and fast. Our truck is old and was leaking steering fluid and needed some love. They fixed some extra things I asked for without complaint and had it ready two days later. Great work and great price. Plus I can walk there! 10/10 would recommend!

I am very grateful for Ekart Automotive in Manhattan, KS. I was visiting family for a short week, and while out and about my alternator went out. The kind & friendly guys at the shop got my vehicle in same day to replace the part. I admire their willingness to quickly get a brand new part and complete the work to perfection! It allowed me to get back to family and drive safely back home to Florida. Fair, honest & reasonable pricing as well. I appreciate the courteous customer service, and it was an added bonus that they offer a courtesy shuttle so I didn’t pay extra in Uber costs. An absolute gem! I highly recommend! I will definitely use them again if I ever find myself in the area!
