We have had various reasons with our vehicles to visit AutoZone in Chesterton over the last couple of weeks. Each time we visited we were met with knowledgeable and friendly help. Tim not only sold us the parts we needed but installed them on our vehicles for us at no charge. We highly recommend AutoZone of Chesterton.

I'm not sure what happened to Steve in the last month but the last three occasions I have encountered him he acted like he didn't want to be there and is just rude. He makes you feel so uncomfortable. I also gave him some advice on training a new employee, he was the worst when "training " this young man. I told him to lighten up on him. I was the outsider looking in and it wasn't good business. I really hope he takes my advice and treats this young man with respect. He was trying his best but Steve was so frustrated about something else he made him feel horrible.

I discovered my new car had no antifreeze in it when the temps dropped to around 12 degrees recently. I walked into the Indian Boundary branch right at open, and Steve gladly helped me with all of my needs. He was such a trooper going out in that cold weather, and I am very appreciative. This store has gained a regular customer now. Thank you!

workers never seem to act like they wanna be there, do minimum of help for you and have no type of dedication towards the job, used to be able to go here and get exactly what i needed and trusted the employees, now they give me wrong parts not even double checking that it’s right, and i have to make 3 trips back to autozone just so i can look up the right part and get it my damn self

A+++++ I was having a hard time finding a place that would change my battery for me asap, and those places also said they couldn’t until they saw it or would only do it if it were seriously corroded etc. Over the phone, this autozone said they’d do it. I was relieved. I got there, was immediately helped, and asked for the cheapest battery and she let me know it’s only a 90 day warranty, so I got the next price up with an 18 month warranty. She saved me from a hassle later on. The guy came out, took one look at my battery, and said, “Yep I can do it.” He did it beautifully and was so pleasant. THANK YOU LOGAN I COULDN’T BE MORE APPRECIATIVE. I am absolutely relieved.

I used to get 8+ years out of these batteries, however I've purchased like 3 of them in the last 4-5 years and I have already had to replace them. I have recommended Duralast batteries to many of my friends and family in the past, not no more !! They're NOT what they used to be !!

It was an amazing experience during a tough time. “Robbie” truly thank you for you help on a cold and windy day. It was a blessing to have assistance like I got this day I pray and thank you for this day. He also taught me something I didn’t even know about cars. He’s the best I wish I could give more stars.

I needed a new battery for my car. I also needed it installed bc the old one was pretty corroded & I have carpal tunnel (bad). I've always had good experiences at Auto Zone. I did not expect this to be any different. This experience was above and beyond. First- I think it's important to mention that the the store itself was very clean and organized. The manager, Jessie and Associate, Robbie were both busy maintaining that, when I walked in. Associate Robbie was not only welcoming, helpful and thorough, he had an overall positive demeanor and good energy. Even the small talk he encouraged as he patiently struggled with the stubborn corroded battery that was giving him hell, indicated a uniqueness of character. He remained patient & gave it hell right back. After initiating Jesses help, he managed to break it free. Given the condition of the battery terminals due to the corrosion from the old battery, Jesse offered tips as to what to look out for and potential solutions in those scenarios. Again, both Robbie & Jesse were very knowledgeable, patient, thorough and very kind.

Was next door when I got out to my car and it would not start, dead battery!! Walked over to the store and the young man behind the counter said he would walk over and replace the battery for me. I was on my way in less than a half hour. I wish I would have asked for his name but he did a great job and got me back on the road quick. This happened around 2:30 Thursday the 4th 2020.

We had a check engine light come on. WALT from Autozone was so helpful. He provided a free diagnostic. He also checked the battery for free. We had a corroded terminal. WALT cleaned it for free. Great guy and great service! We will definitely be buying our next battery from Autozone.

Today in the freezing cold, our car battery died and my husband had to walk to Auto Zone to get a new one. Manager Ray was nice enough to give him a ride back to our car and stand out in the zero degree wind to help him switch batteries. Many thanks to this very nice man for going above and beyond to help a fellow human out!

We first went to Auto Zone in Michigan city. The people ignored us. The other customers even said something to the employees but they continued to ignore us. So, we went to Chesterton. They were busy but still managed to greet us and we were taken care of in less then a minute or two. Very helpful.

My alert came on for left rear turn signal bulb. I stopped and they sold me a set of bulbs (<$8) and fixed it for me. Refused a tip, said its all part of their service. Great customer service!!
