The owner threw me off his lot, for no purpose & then literally ran my puppy into a busy highway.
My puppy was hit by a car & nearly died!
A direct result of the INTENTIONAL actions of the business owner , who again is a DISGUSTING excuse for a human being!
The lady dispatcher that answers the phone during the day should be fired. Very rude and unprofessional. But the driver was a great man with good service. Cheapest in area

Cousins and I were on a road trip and ended up hitting a curb in Chesterton, IN around 8pm on a Sunday. Popped the tire. We threw on the donut and drove as far as we could to Michigan City, hoping we could find a place to swap our tire out. We still had about 300 miles to drive that night. Stopped at a Walmart supercenter and bought a replacement tire. Naive young guys thinking they could remove the flat tire from the rim and place a new one on with no tools, we stop at a nearby gas station and get to work cutting the tire off the rim with a swiss army knife.
Al from Ace Auto saw us and asked us what we were doing. He smiled and said "You know there's a big metal band in there, right?". No...No we didn't Al.
He said he'd help us out and take it back to the shop but the power at his shop was out. So he used his lifter on his flatbed to pop the tire loose from the rim, used a crow and pry bar and worked the old one off and the new one on.
You'll forever be in our memory Al. I'm sure anything could have happened to us roadside between Gary and Michigan City, but you found us and helped us when we needed it.

I had the worst experience here....they had my car after an accident for 2 1/2 months and I had to have them take it back 2 more times and it still wasn't fixed properly...sloppy work and no communication throughout the process. Everytime I called they said it would be done the next week. When i got it back it was filthy inside...pieces were missing...paint was ruined...there was overspray of paint and clearcoat....the window wasn't put back in properly...the list goes on. So I made a list and took it back in a month later when they could get me "back" in and they had it 2 weeks....got the call saying it was done....when i picked it up it was still a mess...dirty....paint everywhere...the truck misaligned..paint was dimpled....they took it back AGAIN for 2 weeks and when I got it back they finally cleaned it but it still wasn't finished. My brand new car is 2 different colors!! Three strikes your out. I'm very dissatisfied with the service and was told by several people that I never should have taken it there. Now I have to take my car elsewhere to get it fixed.
I was new to the area and had some car problems John, there mechanic got me in right away and fix everything for a great price I will now solely becoming to Ace Auto for any problems!
