They will not answer the phone you can't do in store shopping on top of everything else the pictures doesn't match the part I'm trying to get and they charge an extreme amount for shipping. I haven't even got a chance to talk to anyone and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone go to another lkq or another company don't waste your time hear 0 star rating
They don't answer the phone. I drove an hour and a half to get there. They have a sign that says you can't come there to get parts. Total waste of time. If you would have answered the phone, I would have known you customers cannot shop in person
Joke of a company. Had to call 3 times to get someone to answer and then wait for 30 mins on hold and get transferred to 4 different people because nobody there knows what they’re doing. All I wanted was a hood I know they had, shouldn’t take over an hour to purchase a part. Last time I’m dealing with them.
I ordered a back door window for my left side I emphasized on the phone what window I needed. When I got it I was happy that it was already tinted. I get to the place where it would be installed and guess what wrong side window. I had to leave Valpo to come to Michigan City to go back to Valpo. A 5 hour ordeal because of them. Before you leave their company you just double check behind them. I should've did that.
I recently bought a 5.7 vortec motor. First they told me they had one with 98,000 miles 6 month warranty $1875.00 kinda ridiculous but I need my truck he needed my milage and Vin I said ok ill get it and call you right back which I did all day left msg nothing this was a Friday and closed on weekends call again mon got told it was gone already but they had another one 168,000 for hundred dollars cheaper really blew my mind whatever said it ran good so I purchased it what a God dam joke I pick it up this thing was a mess sensors broke including distributer no fly wheel top it off no compression on two cylinders oil pan inch of sludge in it etc. now no one will return my call I will never do buisness here again rude and liars
Went to LKQ at 4:50 pm.
They close at 5.
I knew it would be a long shot to buy an alternator 10 minutes to close...
But.. Literally the only parts store still closed to customers for covid.
So you have to call 800 number on the door to order your part.
A man walked out who obviously worked there and I give him credit he went back inside to see if the guy working could help me...
And he came back a few seconds later and said he couldn't find him .
Call the 800 number.
No one answered... On hold past 5... So I gave up and left.
Today I called , and they have prompts.. business press 1, insurance company press 2,
Regular Joe's looking for a part press 3.
I'm beginning to think they never answer that one.
Because after being on hold waiting for 20 minutes I gave up and just drove to Metro in Valpo. There I was meet by friendly staff , and helped instantly. So the drive is annoying but the customer service is worth it. LKQ will never get my business. They obviously don't need it.
Not a fan of this place. Lot of run around, haven't changed their covid hours which is a joke. Why you close at four pm, due to covid? Is that the covid hour?
I’ve been on hold for 45 minutes now the the gentleman was very rude right before hanging up the phone on me. They don’t care about the customers! I asked to speak to someone else he said “yes here they are then hangs up the phone.
I purchased a rear differential from here and it was worse than the one i pulled out ,i drove here to pick up an ABS pump motor and when the guy handed it to me and i said " it's broke" and he said oh you can't use it? It's just a hassle every time we pickup parts here, they try to charge you for a core even if you have the core with you. They can never find the part you ordered over the phone. Just very unorganized and incompetent!!! This place is my absolute last option!!!!
We buy on average 9-10K in parts a month, We have only bought from LKQ a few times because each of those times the part showed up at different price than quoted, can't get cores picked up, our sales rep is not helpful, he's rude and quick to get you off the phone. Twice now I have called to talk to someone else about the problems I have with them and they always transfer me to him. We will no longer be "giving them another chance".
I normally don't leave a review unless it's 5 stars. I have never been dissatisfied with a product from LKQ. But I have to do everything in person. Getting through on the phone is often unsuccessful with hold times often exceeding 20 minutes.G says they're open till 5 but they're only open till 4:30. Like I said I have never been dissatisfied with them. They are just hard to do business with because the phone system creates a bottleneck. Also, if you call at 4:40pm and are on hold the whole time, the recording will come on at 5 p.m. and tell you they're closed and hang up on you. Definitely could use some improvement there.
I have bought a lot of different parts from here. They always have what I need at good prices. The guy at the desk is awesome. Very friendly and helpful.
Horrible service unfriendly staff poor communication they have core charges and if u pay cash for the core when u return it they return your money with a check that u have to wait 30 minutes to get then go to the bank to get your money back They also do not support our 2nd amendment right
Extremely friendly staff and unbeatable prices on used tires. The used tire I purchased was practically new and was more affordable than any place around.
After walking an auto scrapyard for 2 hours and not finding even a few of the parts I needed, I decided to call LKQ. They were able to locate all of the parts I needed and at reasonable prices. The shipping and delivery was speedy, all parts arrived in 2-3 days. I will definitely be back to get any and all parts I will need in the future.
