two of three of my vehicles were out of commission when the brakes went out of my truck Russell knowing this picked my truck up Saturday evening and had me on the road Sunday afternoon, much appreciated
I was helped over the summer by Russel I had left my keys in my truck and called them and within less then 10 minutes he was there getting my keys for me much appreciated and I will definitely be using them again. Did a super fast job. Thank you Russel.
Called because I had locked my keys in the car on a sunday with car running and it was very cold outside. They arrived within twenty minutes and got my door open right away. Very courteous and kind spoken. Very honest and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them. They would get six stars if I could give it.
My truck broke down on I-74 and I had to limp it to Platinum. He waited for us after hours. I had to leave the truck but he made sure the horse trailer I was hauling was safely hooked up before we started back on our trip. He went out of his way to help us. Highly recommend this place.
I was driving from north carolina to Iowa to a dog evevt on a Sunday when my wheel bearing went out.i called platinum to see if they could tow my truck he said he would but the service garage will not open until monday morning. Within fifteen minutes he arrived to give me a tow to the hotel and drop my truck off at the service garage to be serviced on Monday. Well, upon his arrival, he realized I had 2 dogs with me. I asked him if he could try to pull some strings to get me on the road. First thing in the morning because I had to be in Iowa by 9 AM to Check-in to my dog event which is for the world championship. Later that evening he gave me a call and told me he had my truck fixed.i was so impressed because because he realized I had to be in iowa, with my dogs, first thing in the morning.i was able to leave midnight Monday morningTo make it on time. This gentleman was super nice and very professional I give them a five star rating , I highly recommend them anytime
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Amazingly honest people! Thought I had a major problem but within minutes they found a rock wedged next to the rotor. I really wish we lived closer to these guys! Can’t recommend them enough!!!!!!!

Russell absolutely saved an entire weekend as well as my participation in a once in a lifetime family function… and he did it on a Friday evening as the sun was setting in the parking lot of a Greensburg hotel.
I’m driving from out of state with a vehicle that had just had plugs done the day before in prep for the trip. After 2 hours of uneventful driving, the dash suddenly lights up like a christmas tree after a rough railroad crossing. I make it to a dealership briefly up in Lafayette, where all of the symptoms and lights had disappeared after the car was turned off for a few mins. They couldn’t reproduce what i’d seen. They give me a green light to head onward but 20 miles down the road (it’s now 545pm) the lights all returned suggestive possibly of an abs sensor issue as the engine was performing fine at that point, through Indy things escalated with some intermittent noticeable engine misfires. By the time I got to Greensburg, it got bad enough the CEL started flashing and my car was undrivable. I limp it to the parking lot of the Hampton in Greensburg and pop Auto Repair Greensburg into Google maps here and find this well reviewed business. (With the exception of one screed that appeared to be from one of those customers who has a tenuous grip on how warranties work. )
After seeing all the positive reviews and a mention of someone he helped out of a jam on a Sunday, I call and Russell answers, says he’ll be out in about 20 minutes.
I show him what I was able to isolate from a code scan of the engine (thank you, Walmart in Shelbyville for stocking ODB2 scanners) and the history of the rough railroad crossing and recent spark plug job. Within about 6 minutes armed with a flashlight and a magnet stick, he spotted a connector to the coil pack of cylinder 4 that looked different than the others and was moving with the magnet. He navigated the super hot exhaust manifold and manipulated it to hearing a click, and said “start it up.”
Magic.
Every light gone. Engine smooth as silk. A loosely connected connector to the coil for cylinder 4 had taken a railroad track and 3 hours of driving to work its way completely out, causing intermittent and mysterious dash lights and all manner of MIL codes along the way.
And Russel had fixed it with his experience, intelligence, and availability at a time when every other service station was closed.
He could’ve charged me damn near anything and i’d have been thrilled to have a solution but his fee he requested was so reasonable i happily paid well in excess of it, gave the dude a hug and took a selfie let him know that this was the single greatest automotive repair experience I have ever had.
Russel is the man and if you’re anywhere near Greensburg, this shop deserves your business.
Was very quick on getting to unlock my car, was very polite when helping along with giving tips for next time. All around great service and would use again and again!
They picked up my car at Speedway Sunday and fixed it that afternoon on Sunday in about 2 hours alternator awesome service and price thank you so much 10 stars for sure

They maybe ok to change an oil or tire, but anything else you are better off going to another shop!
This is not a business it's simply a building ran by inadequate individuals who at all times have no idea on Earth what is going on with your vehicle, they won't know if they have started working on it or if it's still sitting in their lot. Which from experience your vehicle if it needs any thing done like I stated above they will hold your vehicle for months on end. Not keep an open line of communication to what the hold up maybe or if they have started working on it or even figured out the issue with it. Expect sob stories how they re overwhelmed with work and do not have actual intellectual employees that can do anything. It's also a waste to call in and speak to the receptionist. She is off in lala land playing around on her multi screen computer and never has a clue about anything going on at the shop, she can't even schedule you to come in because there is also no communication between employees. She will either hang up on you because working the phones is so hard or put you on hold to talk to the owner Russel because like I said she's off in lala land and has no clue what is going on around her. Once you do get a call your vehicle is "done & fixed" you will come to find out they literally did nothing! They can't even diagnose the most simplest of issues. Even a woman can point out and tell you what is wrong with your vehicle but they cannot. So not only will they keep your vehicle for months on end with sob stories, they also won't fix anything, they will break even more things on your vehicle and then try not to own up to their mistakes. They will try to tell you nothing was touched and that location of the vehicle so it had to have came in like that. Even though you have video evidence it did not.
So closing this out learn from my mistake and DO NOT GO TO PLATINUM TOWING!!! It's a joke of a business façade and you will thank me later for saving you the $$, stress, and headache.

I was broke down on the side of the road when Russell pulled up in his tow truck. He got out and asked what happened. I told him what was going on and without missing a beat, he ran off to his truck to get some stuff to help me out! He got my car up and running within just a few minutes and made sure I made it home safely. While that was happening, he was explaining to me what could be wrong with the car. He was very knowledgeable and explained it in a way I would understand. I’m so thankful he stopped to help because I was absolutely out of options. Really kind guy and fast service!

Our family's vehicle broke down around midnight on Thanksgiving Day on the highway traveling to Cincinnati. After swiftly being rescued from the side of the highway by the awesome Indiana Sate Troopers, we spent Thursday searching for a mechanic who might save of from this dreadful situation. Seeing as it was very likely we wouldn't find any mechanics open until the Holiday weekend was over we weren't too hopeful.
Luckily and gratefully we got ahold of Russell, who works at Platinum Auto Repair, and he got us up and running by Friday afternoon. We were able to salvage some of our vacation and make it back to Illinois 2 days later safely!
We are very thankful not only to him and his shop for their quick and professional service but also for all the kind folks at the hotel in Greensburg (workers and locals) where we had to make an emergency stay at.

Russel is a stand up guy and really helped my fiancé and I when we couldn’t get into any other garage for a couple weeks being a family of 4, soon to be 5 and only one car, we needed it fixed ASAP. Platnium not only towed it to their shop without payment first, added the cost of the tow onto the final bill, got it done in a timely manner and the work is quality. The labor prices and total cost was also way less than I was quoted from other shops. I can’t thank Platnium enough!
After a mishap at another auto shop, they came and towed us to their shop. They quickly fixed the issue at an extremely reasonable rate for the tow, labor and part. We will certainly be going back to this establishment whenever we need vehicle service. Highly recommend them.
I took my car to them to get my stalling problem fixed, my brakes, and my control arms which I had the parts for. I was quoted between $1,200-$1,300 and nothing was done besides a clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel. I wasn’t told anything about a flywheel in the time they had it. I hadn’t talked to them for a few days so I got ahold of them and asked how things were going and they told me it was done. They had it for a couple weeks so I was ready to get it back. I was charged what they had quoted me so didn’t think to look at the receipt. The boxes were in my back seat, which I thought was strange, so I checked the boxes and ALL of my parts were in there untouched. I called and they said that they didn’t do my control arms because “my bolts were ground down from my car being so low and they’d have to cut everything out and weld new in.” I got under it with my dad a few days later and there was nothing wrong with the bolts at all. They said they forgot about the brakes because they had “big truck jobs” that week. He offered to do my brakes for $90 because they forgot about it. I’ll take it elsewhere but thanks. If it were me I’d be worrying about making things right so I didn’t have a “public review” like this one. Hopefully they don’t get over on somebody else. Maybe because it’s tax time they thought they could get over on somebody but it won’t be me again I promise that.
Amazing service in a timely manner. Would highly recommend for any and all mechanic and towing services. No job is to big or to small for these guys along with very reasonable pricing.
