Bought a car through them about 4-5 years ago and it was a great experience… HOWEVER, I am in desperate need of a new cheap vehicle and only had about $800 I could put down and then I was hoping to do a pay plan on the rest since that is how I did it then last time I worked with this business. Submitted my finance approval for a car priced at $3,399.
Was sent an email back stating that $7-800 was not enough to start a loan at this time…..
so I email back and stated I bought a car from this place in the past and never once missed or was late on a payment and how much would I need to get a loan started…
he responds and say “at least $2500” ….. FOR A $3,400 car ?????
So you want me to get on a payment plan for the remaining $900 ????? What is the point in offering financing options ????
Idk I guess I’m just honestly annoyed and frustrated that I’ve done business with this place in the past and made good on my end by paying them back and they didn’t even try to work with me at all, except to say they want $2,500 down for a $3,400 car.. disappointing and frustrating
I purchased my new car from them. Carmen is an excellent salesperson. The whole crew there are friendly and felt like we knew them all our lives. My (80yr)mom made their day.

I found a clean, nice, reliable car at a good price. I don't understand all the complaints. Used cars are sold as is, so it's up to you to make sure you're buying a good car. It really isn't anyone else's problem if you buy a bad car and it breaks down.
However, unlike other dealers they don't take care of the paperwork for you. They said they'd send us the title in the mail within 2 weeks, but that was a lie. I called them and they made me come in to pick up the original title for the vehicle, which they could have just given to me when I bought it. I had to go to the BMV and do everything myself, like I bought it from a private party.
Went out today to try and get a car on a budget. The representative who helped us was honest and straightforward and worked with me on my budget. It's hard to find this kind of service these days but I'm so glad I found it here!
They sold a friend a car, and he drove it to work, then home THAT DAY, and the alarm won't shut off. He's 74 years old and he helps the Community out, he literally works for gas money to help others out and this company told him they didn't know it had an alarm on it and hung up and won't answer their phone to try to handle ANYTHING LIKE A BUSINESS...he's had the car 1 day. Bought it July 1st of 24. EVERYTIME he turns the car on, the alarm goes off so he can't drive his car.
I bought a car there last March and it died within a year. The transmission dropped. Took my husband there to look at a truck, because I guessed the car was just old. They told us they had just fixed the brakes. Husband bought it. He was still having issues after bleeding the brakes, so he took it to a mechanic. Turns out not only had they not fixed the brakes, but they'd broken the steering knuckle off changing the caliper and pinched off the brake line. I called to ask them about the service and they told me they were mistaken they hadn't fixed the brakes, they'd just done a caliper on the side the issue was. Asked them if there was anything they could do, they said it was an as is deal so they wouldn't be doing anything. Now I'm starting to wonder if my car was just bad when I bought it and they didn't disclose the transmission problem. You really settle for less quality and service at Settle Auto Sales.
Probably the easiest experience for buying a used car . Fast and easy and I like the fact that they don't credit check just to say yes or no to you buying a vehicle. As long as you have at least half of a down payment and can afford the vehicle you can drive away. Their holding payment also carries for an entire month and goes towards a down payment. I'd recommend to folks who worry about credit or financial stability.
I purchased car 8 months ago and had to take it to get fixed several times until eventually the whole suspension needed replaced. I spent thousands of dollars fixing things every few weeks and now its not even safe to drive. Dont buy a car from here.
Straight up crook! DO NOT BUY HERE! The owner is not even around! Son used his OWN money he had saved to buy first vehicle. 2 weeks later the engine is not working correctly. Do you think the OWNER would even TRY to make this right? Nope?!?!?!?! Once you drive it off the lot he does NOT care! My son is heartbroken and now to find a authentic person to fix the engine/oil issue. Mind you we have had to put a new battery in it the day AFTER we bought it!
Purchased 2 cars from here and I've been pretty satisfied with the prices and the quality of service. My first car I paid straight out and they are as is which I expected and I did not have any problems for the first 2 years I had it. Purchased my second car from here with a down payment and payment plan and it's been affordable for me. The car drives decent and it does drive a little rough but what do you expect with a used car. They are very understanding if I need to make a late payment and I love the attitude of the new owners they are very personable. If you don't have high expectations and need a decent everyday vehicle I highly recommend them.
You get what you pay for. I've bought 2 cars from here years ago. Work with you on payments. Didn't have a job, but had money down. Helped me in bad times. 5 stars because of that. Most of their cars are over 200k miles tho, but they are fair ppl. Atleast they were to me.
Decent selection With Realistic Prices. We traded our Pontiac for a SUV today. There was ZERO pressure and No BS and they gave us a Awsome Trade in Value. My GF is happy with her purchase and Was not givin any trouble when it came down to Making a payment plan and talking Credit. Good place to get a quick Vehichle for any young Person starting out... Or was it ? Maybe they could have sold me a lemon.
I wish I could rate them a 0. On November 18th my husband went to this lot to purchase a car. He had already paid off a car there which was completely rusted underneath and had to be sold. Against my warnings, he decided to return to Settle because he had a good payment history with them. We took a 2013 Ford Escape for a drive and it drove a little rough but ok. Upon return to the lot, we went back out to restart it and it wouldn't start. They told us to go have lunch and they would replace the battery. We returned and the battery looked new to us so my husband signed the papers and purchased the car. The very next morning we go to start the car and not only would it not start but the coolant had completely leaked out. We contacted them immediately and were met with disrespect and belittlement by the owner. The engine is bad and he doesn't care. We just asked to get in a another car, not our money back. He hung up the phone on my husband several times. I even went in and tried to be the mediator between them and again he was condescending and rude. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. They are not about customer service and reputable. All they want is the sale....that's it. Once it's off the lot, the pile of junk is your problem.
I'm really surprised how many slow heads buy cars with blown head gaskets and engine damage. Does no one know what to look or listen for?! So many, possibly good people, need to think. I have bought over the years cars from here so have my friends. Just bought another one last month. You get what you pay for, buyers beware however you want to say it its on YOU to know what you are buying. The 2 guys there weren't rude, they want to make a deal. Again know what your doing, whenever buying "used cars" spend a bit and have a shop check it over 1st, else YOU are to blame.
Salespeople were friendly and helpful with information. Nice selection of used vehicles, and nice, calm area to test drive in (for Fort Wayne)
However, the severity of the rust on my car's undercarriage was not conveyed at all, and since buying from them 2 years ago I have had to replace many parts that, at the time of purchase, we were told had already been replaced and were in good shape. Definitely bring your own mechanic with you to check out their vehicles.
Me and my husband purchased a truck from here and they completely manipulated the truck to have it test drive and seem okay. The motor is blown, 4 wheel drive needed service, and check engine light was blown so we wouldn’t see the check engine light was on and motor was blown. Employees have been beyond rude and hung up on us and do not disclose issues with their cars. Do not recommend spending $10,000 on one of their cars with blown motors. Please contact me if you’ve had a similar experience, will be contacting an attorney.
I've bought two cars here now. I really like the low pressure and honesty of the people I dealt with. They weren't hesitant to tell me about any issues the cars had that they were aware of. Much appreciated and I will be back to by my second son his car!
A+++ Experience!! You wanna talk honesty.. they will. Transparency.. they are. Flexibility.. willing to work with you.. They Do! You Can't go to any car lot w/ a, less than 5K budget, looking to drive off in a brand new car. Every used car has issues. Do the homework, see what it needs/whats reasonable and make a decision. Hell I did.lol. Settle has a Great selection for the price range. If you need a solid vehicle, on a budget, and may need a little help or nudge.. These are the people you should work with.

Excellent service. They worked with my budget, and had a great selection. Zero pressure - zero hassle. They gave me a dealer plate, and let me test drive anything on the lot (all had keys, all started up fine). When I found a car, we worked together on a sale price, and I had the paperwork in hand within a few minutes. On top of all that - they were just plain nice people. This was my first time buying from Settle. Just happened to be in the neighborhood and saw the truck I wanted. Price was AWESOME! $10k truck for $6400. And this thing is CLEAN! Waylon is an awesome sales person. He was super busy when I showed up. Instantly excused himself from one customer to tell me he'd be right with me, then back to the other customer. Seems like a genuine good guy. No pressure at all. By far my best car buying experience.
I'm very happy with my purchase from these guys. You definitely need to do your research and get the car checked out by a trusted mechanic first, but if you are in a pinch and on a budget and need a car like I did this is not a bad place to look. They even let me drive the car to my mechanic out of town to get it checked without asking for any kind of security deposit. It did need some work but still a good car for the money. Very fair price on just the car I needed. Was so happy with my experience I felt the need to leave a good reveiw since I'm seeing that there aren't a lot of good ones on here :)
