Danny and his team were absolutely incredible! My car broke down on a Sunday in a winter storm warning and they were overly accommodating, polite, efficient, and quick to help! We were having a nightmare issue with a vehicle and a roadside assistance service. Pit stop came to the rescue and turned a very stressful situation into a "we got this" kind of moment. 10/10 - Excellent customer service. Got me right in for a tire repair. I was back on the road in less than 30 minutes and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg! Really great, friendly people. Very satisfied with the service.
Great service from them. I called Danny because the misses locked her keys in her car while it was running. I called and they were in abingdon and unlocked in a half hour. Thank you guys so much for the great service and quick response

The tie rods broke on my car. Pit stop shop was able to tow my car & they were able to fix it. Price was reasonable, they were so nice and conveniently located!

My daughter locked her keys in her car. I tried to get it unlocked myself with a couple pieces of wire and some fiberglass poles. I did not succeed. I called their number and was informed of a reasonable price and a tech would be there shortly. I was so thankful of his service. I would definitely use them again.
Was in town visiting family and my remote start malfunctioned. In the process my key got locked in the car. They came quickly and did an excellent job! Deeply appreciated the service!
Had a flat during a trip and needed a shop fast. Looked online for a shop near me and Pit Stop was the first to pop up. Answered the call and got me in asap. My car was in the shop within 60 seconds of arrival and was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Thank you for the fast service!
Very terrible tow yard impounded a car for siting for less than 2 hours and charged $500 to get it out of the impound yard then said it’ll be a extra one hundred dollars to get it after hours then we got to the yard and waited an hour for there “driver” to unlock the gate and still charged the extra $100
We are traveling and had truck (with a camper) issues. We called Pit Stop Towing. Danny took care of us. He was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and even made sure we were safe to get back on the road. The price we were quoted was very reasonable.
Had my vehicle towed into the shop and they repaired what was needed in a timely fashion and very reasonable cost. Would highly recommend them all the way around from towing to repairs. Very satisfied
Took my truck in for some work they did a great job! They also fixed a problem I was having that dealership wanted 3 times as much to fix. Great friendly staff! Would recommend!
Tuesday March 18th, 2025 I was heading to Galesburg for a class. I stopped at Luvs in Monmouth and when I came back out I was locked out of my car. I called 911 and the sweet dispatch lady gave me a number for Pitstop. I called and a man showed up within 10 minutes to unlock my car for me. He got my car unlocked within 5 minutes and didn't charge me. That man saved me that day! I made it to my class in downtown Galesburg with 6 minutes to spare. Thank you sir for everything! Had an electrical issue on my truck early this morning. Called Pit Stop and the dispatcher took my call and gave me a quote that was incredibly reasonable. The driver got out to me very quickly and was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough (he turned out to be the owner of the business).
They have a pithy statement written on the side of the truck, “Better than the best, and cheaper than the rest.” I can vouch for both of those claims. Towing experiences are never fun, but Pit Stop made this one a little easier to swallow.
Wish I could rate negative stars! Charged us $205 to have our truck towed less than a quarter mile away! When I called and talked to Stomie she was rude and unhelpful and hung up on me. I talked to the police and my insurance agent who both agreed the fee was unreasonable. Also the driver did not leave the vehicle where asked, they couldn’t give us receipt the day of the tow. Do not trust this company! You will get scammed and they do not care!
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Hired them to transload a 15ft 2000lb utility trailer off the back of an 18 wheller and set the unit on the ground. At the time of unloading the person actually receivering the unit was 2/10ths of mi down the road and Pit Stop had quoted us $200 an hour to unload the trailer (which took only 30 mInutes Total) but because they had to take the trailer 2/10ths of a mile to drop the unit they ended up charging us an additional $100 which they didnt ask us or say anything about the extra money they just charged our credit card. We have also reported them to the District Attorney for Monmouth as well as FMCSA as they have decpetive billing practices.
Very happy and grateful for the service we were given. People were very friendly and helpful. They definitely went above and beyond to get our car running again. We will be taking our vehicles back there for sure.
On the clodest day of the year one of our medium duty trucks would not start. With one phone call, Pit Stop stopped jump started the truck and we were able to make our pick up on time. Thanks for all you do!!!

My truck and they happened the be in the same parking lot and helped me out in the pouring rain, he was very nice and professional and refused to let me buy him a burger, if I ever come back through Monmouth again and need some assistance I will be calling these guys first
Thank god for Danny!!!! After taking my car elsewhere and still having the same problem I took it to Pit Stop. Danny replaced front wheel bearings on passenger side and all 4 tires due to the fact they were unsafe with busted steel belts!!! The other place said tires were fine. Now my car drives like new!!! I was amazed how great she drives now!!! I also feel safe driving! Will NEVER take my car any else!!! Hugggs Danny!!!
Extremely satisfied! Comfortable waiting area . My oil change and rotation was completed in a very timely manner. I will be returning and suggesting the Pit Stop to family and friends.
