As far as the business goes itself, you are making $. Apparently the lot is NOT secure though and folks are somehow getting into the lot late at night from a different entrance. I've witnessed it on several occasions, including tonight. Protect your company from lawsuits because even though this place is an auction, you're still a business. Secure your lot folks.

Too long wait time to get back my vehicle employee keeps me waiting telling me to wait 30 min waited more than an hour. The car is still not here and i am already getting late

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER. They leave the cars completely unsecure in their lots, allowing personal items to be stolen out of vehicles. This is extremely troubling, as I had to make the 2 hour drive to retrieve my personal belongings, as I don't even live in Illinois! Upon arrival, I'm baffled to see my car is ransacked, besides my license plates. When trying to resolve this, I have recieved little to NO help. I've talked to others about my experience and they HAVE SHARED THIS SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE.

Hours posted are 8-5p but they won’t load you after 4:30. Got here at 4:32 and they refused to load me. Have been to multiple other IAA location and never had this issue. Thanks for wasting my time after coming from 3 hours away, and having no desire to help me even though I got there 2 minutes after the “drop off time” that isn’t posted anywhere.

This company is contracted by State Farm to pick up cars that are deemed a total loss by the insurance company. I was told that my son’s car was scheduled for pick up two days ago. IAA told State Farm the vehicle was not ready to pick up and did so without even consulting with me. I called State Farm and told them it would be cleaned out and ready on the day I scheduled it. State Farm conferenced me on a call with IAA and told me they would get it today. IAA never showed up. It was very difficult to understand IAA rep. The IAA rep is from a different country and did not speak english well. Still don’t know when it will be picked up. I am done with IAA and State Farm after this insurance claim.

My car had some serious damage which caused issues with retrieving items from the trunk. However, two lot employees went above and beyond resolving the problem. Saved me quite a few dollars in fees. The office staff was wonderful while I was dealing issues with my insurance company.

Pay no attention to these bad reviews. Mostly comes from people who don’t know what they are doing and the employees dealing with ignorance every day. Get your shit together and follow the rules and you will have no problems at all. Great staff and very well ran compared to some places I’ve been.

Poorly run business. Had no choice to use them as State Farm uses them when your vehicle gets totaled. In my case, I was buying the car back from insurance. I sent the tow truck over 7-3-25 and my driver said they were so backed up with other trucks & trailers that he couldn’t get in to the lot. The towing company called me & had to charge me more to pick up the car, as this was over the time I was quoted. I’m grateful for my towing company for sticking it out (I have my car), but disgusted with a business that can’t work out logistics which costs the consumer more. It is also nearly impossible to get someone on the phone at IAA, or get someone to return phone messages.

The most terrible service !!! People like this shouldn't be working in an office, managers and supervisors. They say one thing on their cell phone and another thing in the office that you can pick up the car until 5 o'clock. The manager is someone named Haley and her supervisor who didn't even give her name. Who are you, head of the region? Control this.
Apr 16, 2025 -
Absolute disrespect to visitors and customers! Both from the staff and from the management! Supervisor rudely refused to identify herself and refused to resolve the problem they had made themselves. I strongly do not recommend having any business with them!!! I'm pretty sure head office is much more concerned about reputation...hmmm I guess I'll ask them about that.

Difficult to get a hold of. Sons insurance pd and had these people take the car. They sent us and envelope saying to sign the title and send it to and out of state address for them. My son is not signing and shipping off with no paperwork on our end. Then I find out they're just across the river, si why aren't we able to go there and get title properly signed over. Mo dept of motor vehicles says he needs a form filled out as well. Will be calling tomorrow as emails aren't answered. It took the 2 weeks for them to call/send correspondence after they took the car.

The manager at this location is outstanding! She went above and beyond to help me recover a lost title, ensuring it was processed and mailed back to me quickly. If you want a team that truly gets things done, this branch is the place to go. Their dedication and efficiency are unmatched!

Helpful staff. Simone went above and beyond to help me out with a buyer issue and even Uploaded my documents to buyer services to get the issue resolved faster. Nicki the manager returned my emails immediately and was helpful as well.

Such a rude environment especially with the manager there's no human sense at that place she doesn't help at all is ridiculous

I had the worst experience with IAA St. Louis in Caseyville, IL, after I crashed my Jeep and it ended up in their hands. To say I’m furious would be an understatement—this place turned a bad situation into a complete disaster. My Jeep was totaled in an accident, and I figured IAA, being a big-name auto auction company, would handle it professionally. Boy, was I wrong. First off, when I went to retrieve my personal belongings from the wreckage, half my stuff was missing. I had tools, some electronics, and even sentimental items in there—gone. I asked the staff about it, and they just shrugged, acting like it wasn’t their problem. Then, to top it off, I noticed my license plate was missing too. I mean, who steals a license plate from a totaled car? It’s not like they’re reselling it at auction! I’m convinced someone at IAA swiped it, either for personal use or to cover up something shady. It’s left me paranoid that my plate’s out there being used for who-knows-what. The whole process was a mess from start to finish. The staff couldn’t care less—rude, unhelpful, and totally dismissive when I tried to get answers. I’ve heard stories online about IAA lots having issues with “lost” property, and now I’m a believer. It’s like they see a crashed car as a free-for-all to pick through before the owner gets there. And don’t get me started on communication—I called multiple times to figure out what happened, left messages, and got zero response. It’s as if they ghost you once they’ve got your vehicle. On top of that, the yard itself is a chaotic dump. Finding my Jeep was like navigating a maze of wrecked cars, with no clear signage or help from the employees. I get that it’s an auction lot, but a little organization wouldn’t kill them. The whole vibe screams neglect, and it’s clear they don’t care about the people who actually own these vehicles—just the profit they can squeeze out of them. If you’ve got a wrecked car heading to IAA St. Louis in Caseyville, good luck. My advice? Get there as fast as you can to grab your stuff before it mysteriously disappears, and double-check everything. I’m still dealing with the fallout of replacing my stolen plate and lost property, and I wouldn’t wish this headache on anyone. Avoid this place if you can—it’s a black hole of incompetence and shady behavior.

These folks are atrocious for how they treat not only customers, but business partners, and drivers. We had the motor go out on our car on the way home to Indiana and ended up at a shop in Highland, Illinois. We ended up taking a rental home and worked out a deal to sell the car to Peddle who uses IAA to pick up cars for them. We were given a pick up window of 12-5pm (which is already just ridiculous) and as we were 3 1/2 hours away from the location, drove that morning from Indiana to make sure we were onsite by noon. We sat there, and sat there, and as 4pm approached and we had not heard anything, I made my 1st inquiry to them. I was told that a driver was en route and would be there by the top of the hour. By 4:30pm no driver had shown so I inquired again. This time I was told that the driver would be calling me momentarily. He did and informed me that he was 2 1/2 hours away and would not be arriving until 7pm. We were stuck in this arrangement as our check was given to this driver to deliver. The driver finally showed at 7:30pm. He had been run by IAA all over the place and still had to make his 2 1/2 hour drive back home TO MISSOURI after he picked up our car. I don't know how long this guy had been out, but using a driver that is nearly 3 hours away to pick up a car is just flat idiotic, especially considering the main branch was literally 30 minutes down the road. It is dangerous for drivers to be on the road this long, and just horrendous customer service for both us and Peddle. I could have just dropped off the keys and title at the main branch and picked up my check and saved my wife and I a WHOLE wasted day of sitting around in another state. In the end, these folks are running a dangerous clown show and need to not be in business. Poor customer service is just the start...my fear is they are going to end up getting folks killed on the road. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Extremely rude and unprofessional. I want to pick up the my van and they left the door open and drain my battery and then they could not start it and they make me pay the towing to take the van outside of the premises

I had a terrible experience at this location. The forklift driver was extremely rude and unprofessional, making the entire visit unpleasant. To make matters worse, the manager was equally unhelpful and dismissive when I brought up my concerns.

I had a very disappointing experience at the IAA salvage yard in St. Louis. The forklift operator is irresponsible and careless, showing no concern for safety or professionalism. The manager supports this unprofessional behavior instead of addressing it. The treatment to truck drivers is bad. Drivers are treated with disrespect and disregard, which is completely unacceptable. This location needs serious improvements in staff behavior, safety practices, and customer service. I cannot recommend it until these issues are resolved.

They blew us off yesterday. Their call to reschedule came way late, but said they'd come today 8-11AM. Here I sit at 12:20 with no sign or call. Tried to connect to their "Press 1, Press 2, etc. Same recording, "We're sorry, but we're helping other customers. Leave a message and we'll call back." Recording said, "Dial 1 for hours." Same message as 2. Had to go online to find out they're closed today. Stay away from them if you can. I would have left 0 stars, but they won''t let you post then.

The staff was helpful and cooperative when my son had to clean out his car after it was totalled in a wreck. Much appreciated!

Very rude staff, totally unprofessional branch manager Nicky! I was trying to contact the manager for 3 times, and each time I was told that she is not available. The branch posted false description/advertisement of an item for sale. The item was indicated as Front End Collision, but came as Heavy Hail Damage. Also the main issue is that the branch manager has a power to make a decision whether you are eligible for the return or not, even though it was their fault providing false description of an item.

Sold car through peddle. Apparently these guys are contracted to pick it up. Had scheduled for a Friday between 8 and noon. Didn't get a call until after 12 saying they needed to reschedule. Now I have to waist another day waiting on them. My time is valuable too but they obviously don't care.

Nice clean organization. Front staff personelle are very helpful. Main concern, is the amount of time one has to wait prior to receiving their vehicle. I waited over an hour to get my cat

We have had an excellent experience doing business with IAA. We would like to express our special thanks to Nicki, the manager, who has always been helpful and very resourceful. We look forward to continuing doing business with her. God Bless!
