My car stalled out at an intersection in the miserably cold weather (-11) around 6pm. AAA quoted me 4 hours for the nearest tow. D&L was there in under five minutes, handled everything so I could stay out of the cold as much as possible. Saved my butt and I am SO grateful.
Today 4/23/22 I found myself in a pickle. My company truck broke down while on my return trip to base and I found myself stranded in a left turning lane. I called around to local heavy haulers and on a Saturday, with it being nice out, of course EVERYONE was busy. Including John; The only heavy hauler driver for D&L Towing and Recovery. I called him and he happened to be working on a big rig mechanically. John not only expressed concern while on the line, he offered recommendations for other heavy haul towing companies. None of them were tangible because they were all out helping other people in positions like me. John finished his customer with the truck needing fixed and from the kindness of his heart drove by the intersection I told him I was at to see if I was still there. Of course I was. John not only towed my truck to my local mechanic; He also dropped me by my vehicle back at base. If it weren't for him, I'd probably still be looking for a tow as Im typing this (I'd already been out there for an hour and a half). If you're in an unfortunate pinch like me and need someone that will care about you and your vehicle alike, call the wonderful folks of D&L. They are wonderful and Senior Driver John was a guardian angel for me. His professionalism and supreme customer care was truly second to none and I will forever be grateful to him for his kindness! If I could give 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat.
Horrible experience. Had a medical emergency behind the wheel. They charged me a $100 more than they would have if I had been drinking and driving. Almost $500 to get my car because of unnecessary fees. Steve their manager couldn't reach the owner to help me but could reach him to tell him all about me. They didn't even have my car for 24 hours. Plus charged an after hours release fee they told me nothing about.
I was not very happy with them. It was an accident tow so not much of a choice. They charged us to clean up oil and antifreeze at the accident seen then says well I am not sure if it was from your wifes car or not! Then when i saw the car smashed it the rear with very little to no front end damage I knew ! Then the body shop calls and says there is no mechanical damage any engine system I knew AGAIN HE IS A SHISTER!
Truck was there in 15 minutes. I was hooked and on the road towing in 10. Driver Ryan was well spoken, friendly & quite experienced and helpful in troubleshooting my projected problems. Way to go D&L THANK YOU!!!
Called for a tow in the late afternoon and they were able to do so in an hour. They showed up on time and charged a fair and reasonable price. Driver was courteous. I have used them three times now and never had one issue.
D&L Midwest Towing came out after AAA told me that my car wasn’t safe to jump and I needed a tow (without further explanation). D&L looked it over and jumped it right away for me with no problem! I wish I would’ve remembered the guys name who assisted me but he was very professional and well educated on the car and I would highly recommend their business to anyone! Thank you for your help!!
They towed my truck when I picked it up the bumper was Cracked the guy told me that im not paying to fix it not my problem it's for you to figure out. I have photos of the car from earlier that day showing the bumper Was not cracked. Making a police report with the Lakemoor police and filing a claim with the courts. Avoid doing business with these people at all cost
