Hands-down, the best record store I’ve been to in a long time. If you can’t find it here, then I suggest taking harmonica lessons and singing for yourself because this place is awesome!
Pretty good little place. Like other music joints, kinda lacking organization, not any one working besides the guy behind the counter. The usual. Unfortunately if you aren't looking for vinyl this isn't the place for you. Not a wide selection of c d's and tapes. Lots of vinyl though! Some rare ones. More pricey than I thought, but I bought them when they all First came out for like $7.99. Also not a lot of parking. But they can't help that in their location
Solid record shop with TONS of vinyl, CDs and Casette Tapes along with home audio equipment! Really good selection. I only wish the reggae cuts were deeper because i only left with 2 reggae albums... Always well stocked with stuff for every budget. Rare vinyl section gets replenished often. Tons of new vinyl, a lot of which are already OOP. Some days I just go in to browse, some days I go a little nuts and fill my bags. The owner is very knowledgeable and communicative. He always has some surprise behind the counter. I always enjoy coming here.
My mom has an old stereo system that plays CDs. It still works. I went to look for Christmas CDs. They have a good variety of CDs. The staff is SUPER friendly
Today was our second time visiting Hoarders. My teen daughter collects vinyl and has more than tripled her collection visiting here. She easily finds new artists and albums that she wants for her collection.
The owner is friendly and really seems to care about the "young kids" finding quality music. Love the vibes, the collection, the prices, the bargain bins, and the staff.
We easily spend over an hour searching the inventory and look forward to our next visit.
One of THE BEST Record Stores in the Chicagoland Area. Russ is super friendly, and he knows everything about music. The Albums are sorted by artists, in Alphabetical order, sorted by Vinyl on one side of the store, and cassettes, cd's, and other memorabilia on the other side of the store.
Hoarders’ vinyl, CD and cassette inventory puts a lot of high profile Chicago record stores to shame. Russ and his crew understand their clientele and offer one of the best shopping experiences I’ve encountered. Vast selection, competitive pricing, friendly service, something for every level of collector!
Hoarders Trading Post is one of the best in the business and a pleasure to work with! Russ has been fair to me consistently over multiple sales, trades, and purchases. A few years ago Russ gifted me a Technics turntable when I was severely sick, so I had something nice to spin albums on during recovery.

Horders Trading Post in St. Charles is one of my favorite record spots. Russell, the owner, is a great guy—always friendly and easy to talk with. I’ve bought many records here, and every one of them has been excellent.
Most recently, I picked up a copy of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and it played like it was brand new. Beyond the records, the shop also has an impressive selection of vintage equipment that’s worth checking out.
We keep going back, and for good reason—great music, great gear, and great people.
I absolutely love this place. Russ is the nicest dude, always welcoming, always down to talk about music, always super cool.
He's very nice to my kids too. Once I was in with my son and he picked up a copy of THRILLER and was holding it. He says "can you play this?" and Russ goes "you know this one?" "Yeah!!" So he played Thriller. Awesome.

By far the best shop for vinyl and cds with nobody even in the same league. Huge selection, great prices, always something new in every genre. My favorite place to go hangout and pick up some awesome harder to find records.
Russ the owner is incredible and very knowledgeable. The prices are very fair and they have a huge selection. I’ve been to lots of vinyl shops in the burbs and this gem is the best hands down.

What a hidden gem in St. Charles. If you're a fan of vinyl and CDs the selection and prices here are fantastic. Walked out with a ton of great stuff and the owner was super friendly.
First time in yesterday. I took my 18yo daughter who has been before and loves the place.
As music lovers, this is the place to be. Huge selection of records, cds, and tapes. We found something I was looking for since a kid, 30 plus years looking for this record. Couldn't believe it and they had 2 of them. Blew my mind.
I will be back...many times over.

Quite literally THE greatest record store I've been to. Honest prices, insanely good selection, and I've had hours of joy just rifling through it all. Russ is honest, immensely knowledgeable, and I'm very glad to have the pleasure of sharing the same enthusiasm about some awesome records with him every time I come in. I've purchased numerous records here, as well as a fantastic vintage turntable, receiver, and speakers. Only the highest praise for this place - and even that's not enough. Best selection of vintage stuff around, feels like you're diving into music history, and you're never getting nickel & dimed here. This place is pretty much the reason I got back into collecting records, so you definitely won't be disappointed.
