Walked in ready to buy a zero turn. Guy behind the counter was super awkward and quiet. Told him what I was interested in and he just started looking into his computer and read me numbers. What a joke.

Had a 1 year warranty on a weedwacker I bought brand new and didn't last a day and they told me it was a commercial unit when it was really a residential unit. They accused me of putting wrong gas and tried charging me 250$ to repair it when I had a valid warranty. Definitely not coming back
You think you have a family owned business that does a good job and you try to stay faithful towards it instead of going to the other thousand corporate business. Given them thousands of dollars and they don’t treat us good. The prices are too high as well. We simply won’t be back.

I ordered a head gasket for a 41 year old Toro snowblower Tecumseh engine. $7.00. Online all other suppliers just sold gasket kits. Halloran offered me the cheapest option. Priceless honesty!
Purchase a used Gravely Pro-Turn 460 from them.First time in I worked with Mike the owner,He spent a great deal of time with me answering all my questions.The next time I came in Mike was not there I saw Joe in parts . He was also very helpful checking the operation of the air-ride seat. and closing the paperwork.Even the person who delivered the mower was very nice. I usually don't leave reviews in fact this is the first one I have left one on google. They all went above and beyond.

When they picked up the mower, they gave me an invoice for $179.95. When I heard nothing for 2 weeks, I called and they said that "parts" would jack up the bill to $280, even though the parts listed on their final invoice only came to $82.77. When they finally called to set up a delivery time, the invoice came to $375.77, because they installed a new battery. Mike Halloran called me and explained the battery wasn't holding a charge. I would advise the business to inform customers of ANY significant changes in costs so that the customer can determine if the mower is a keeper or a new mover is in order.
Have had to take my mower here twice for different reasons. Both times I received friendly and knowledgeable service at a fair price. This is a place you can trust.
Small engine shop that cares about customers. Spent hours debugging an issue on the lawnmower. Eric worked the issue until it was resolved. You have a return customer!

My new lawn mower broke after using it for 30 minutes. I called and they picked it up, fixed it and brought back. No charge. I wasn't happy about it but at least they took care of it professionally.
Five stars. Counter guy helped me find a dipstick for my 60 year old Troy-Bilt tiller. He could have sold me something expensive but he found something that worked perfectly in his junkyard of old parts. Charge me two dollars. Honest and helpful. Don't find that kind of service most places. Thank you very much!
I am writing this complaint because I have dropped off my snow blower on 12/30/17. It is now 01/15/18 as I am writing this review and still don't have my snow blower. In my initial call they said they will get it done the same day. I got to the store they advised it will take a couple of days since they need to replace a belt and to put in a bolt. I have been told to put in a bolt on the handle would take 30 minute only !!! I asked how that is possible they said that's how long it takes. I was told another 30 to do the belt. I was told it would be $100 and I left a 40 deposit. I called them three times in the past and said they are working on it. I called today and they don't have it done so I expressed frustrations and the individual at the store didn't care to hear my concerns.
Update I got the snow blower back and they said there was number of things wrong with it not sure if the repairs are legitimate or actually completed.
These guys were great! I had a problem with my mower's front wheel- I called- they said bring it in..I brought it in within that hour...and in 7 minutes they had it fixed and I was ready to go!!! I will definitely have them do maintenance on it in the future!
Impeccable customer service. The owners helped us identify a solution and then, when our assessment of our need changed, they helped identify another, better solution. Communications were clear. The Halloran's know their products, gave us a thorough orientation, and were helpful with every aspect of two transactions.
I've used Halloran Power Equipment twice to perform repairs on my lawnmower, and I've had generally mixed reviews.
The first time I used them, I needed to have a wheel repaired on my mower. They did repair the wheel, and sharpen the blades on my mower. The next time I mowed my lawn, the blade fell off. They did come back promptly to pick it up, and informed me shortly after that the old blade was not original to the mower (which may well have been the case) and that I needed a new one. A new one was installed, though the whole affair took nearly a month. Their work was (aside from the first episode with the blade) OK, though the length of time I was without my mower was too lengthy.
The second time I used them was the next year, to have some "spring maintenance" performed on my mower. While their work seemed to be acceptable upon returning my mower, it took 3 weeks (!) to change the oil and spark plug, and, to my surprise, replace the blade on my mower! Apparently it was in pretty tattered condition, and needed to be replaced; While I don't believe that they were dishonest in their assessment, I was nonetheless surprised by the finding.
In general, I think their work is acceptable, but it took really, really long to perform these repairs and maintenance.
I paid $70 to have the height adjustment on one push lawn mower wheel replaced just have the wheel fall off within 10 minutes of using it. then when I'm looking at it I find they also forgot to put back on a c-clip which made the wheel wobble. Waste of money and my time!
I purchased a new snowblower from them in the fall of 2012. I was able to purchase it online and do an in-store pickup for same price offered at the local "big box" store. I would highly recommend purchasing from Halloran since this equipment is their speciality and they know it inside and out. Whether you ever have a problem with your equipment or need just basic service, these guys will stand behind you for the life of the equipment; they don't disappear after the sale. I had a small warranty issue with my machine they made sure everything was corrected at no cost. I worked with Mike and he really took care of me.
