TLDR: Place gets the job done, but it's expensive and their customer service is not great (outside of Christian the guy who gave me a ride, he's cool and very polite.) Took my car in for some much needed repairs. I was in a bind and didn't have many options so I went to this placed based on their reviews on Google, which are quite high. I will say, the communication is the one thing that made this a two star review and not a one star review. They are very transparent with what they see on the car and what their inspection process is. Also shout-out to Christian, who shuttled me back home while I left my car. Cool dude. While the work they did actually do on my car was fine, my overall experience with this place was not. The place is run more like a dealership then a local repair shop. The focus seems to be more on upselling service then being honest with the customer on what is essential. The customer service rep I saw was sort of standoffish and snarky. When he was trying to quote me for a key and I told him I could get it cheaper he said "why didn't you go to them for the work then?". To me , that is a WILD thing to say to a customer even as a joke. Which to be fair, his tone of voice did not insinuate that he was joking. That is just something you don't say to someone giving you business. The labor costs here are high ($167 an hour), so do not expect a super affordable experience here. That's not an outrageous price but considering that they also charge quite a bit for the parts it really does add up here. They also threw a MASSIVE quote for service in my face and they kind of just make you figure out what's worth it and what's not. They guy did not offer anything in terms of what was essential and what wasn't. That's another thing that you should just do as a repair shop. You can't just sit there as the expert and let the customer try and figure out what is worth it and what isn't, it's just a very arrogant way of conducting business. Also they said they would top off my oil and they just didn't. I wasn't charged for it but I remember asking them to do that and they just didn't do it. So there's that. Overall, I won't be coming here again. If you're in a bind they certainly know what they are doing in terms of the repair side, but at that price and that customer service it is a one and done for me.

I stopped in for a turn signal light bulb change. They took care of everything quickly! Very polite and friendly.

I've been taking my car here for a few years and everything I get done over here is done timely, and affordably. Several family members of mine also take their cars here and have great experiences as well. Dave works on our cars often and always does excellent work. Of the handful of shops I've been to before, this is the best, most convenient, and most consistent with quality of work performed.

Great service at a fair price. Matt and his staff explain what they are going to do and make sure you understand. Would highly recommend!

I brought my truck to Accurate Auto after dealing with a check engine light that no one else could figure out. The truck was showing multiple codes — P219B, P0300, and P0306 — and it turned out there was low compression across the entire right bank of the engine. My engine had actually been replaced with a new Jasper engine back in March, so this issue was a major concern. Accurate Auto took the time to properly diagnose the problem and discovered that the engine itself had a defect. They reached out to Jasper on my behalf, handled the entire warranty process, and got approval for a replacement engine. Within about two weeks, they had a brand-new Jasper engine installed and had my truck back on the road. Their communication, professionalism, and honesty throughout the entire process were outstanding. They solved a problem that several others couldn’t, and they stood behind their work. I truly appreciate how smoothly they handled everything, especially something this major. Highly recommend Accurate Auto — they earned my trust.

Accurate Auto is one of about 50 locations in the Chicagoland area that are part of the Greatwater 360 Auto Care network of auto shops. Matt Kepes is the knowledgeable and affable manager of this shop. David Young is a knowledgeable and friendly ASE Certified Technician here also and upon chatting, I could tell he really has a passion for cars. As a helpful Dad's errand, I brought my son's car in here for a brake job while he was out of town on a trip. This particular shop is also part of Costco's network of auto service providers (besides selling and installing tires which Costco does at its own Tire Centers) and that is what directed me here. That and knowing they would be more economical than having a dealer do the brake work. They do good and reliable and guaranteed work and while they are not "cheap", but rather reasonable, you do get a 15% discount based on being a Costco member. You need an authorization number from Costco via their website to get that discount. They do a lot of the usual auto shop services but most of their Costco referral business is admittedly for wheel alignments (which I also had done) which Costco Tire Centers don't do, but often recommends after their tire work. I really liked the professionalism and friendliness I experienced here. Nice written reports with photos are also provided on all of the work btw. Big thumbs up and thank you Matt and Dave! ps - There is a 3% credit card fee and the auto repair bills are not insignificant. There is no fee for a debit card, so bring and use that if it makes a big enough difference for you.

What can I say.. Matt and the team know what they're doing!! Very honest shop! Gerardo recently looked at my car for a diagnosis for a rattle noise and was able to get to the prolem. Dave has also worked on my car several times and he's fantastic! Andy another tech gave me a ride home while my car got fixed. Will definitely keep coming for future repairs!

Brought my 2015 BMW X5 35i in for a persistent check engine light and cooling system issues. They replaced the thermostat, water pump, gasket, did a coolant flush, pressure oil switch, and serpentine belt. First visit, all codes came back—but they took the car back, diagnosed it for free, and discovered the real issue: a broken oil filter housing cap (which previous oil changes had damaged). Even BMW missed that. Accurate Auto nailed it. Great service, honest team, and they actually solve the problem—not just clear the codes. Highly recommend.

Came in from out of town with an issue that required suspension work and new tires. They got it done within a day and had a loaner for me to get on with my obligations. That, and they communicated well, were very professional, and nice!

My wife drove our son to O'Hare Airport. Tire punctured outside of terminal 1. My son helped put the "donut" on and then had to be on his way to catch his flight. I called our hometown tire place, they referred me to look for a store in the Greatwater 360 Auto Care network that would be close to my wife's location. I found Accurate Auto, called, and spoke with Matt. Gave my wife directions and and when she arrived, Matt and his team did the rest. They took great care of her, found a solution to get her on the road for the 3 hour drive home. Great to find helpful people at a time of feeling helpless from a distance. Thankful for you!

Had the AC compressor replaced for my 2021 Palisade. I am extremely satisfied with the work and customer quality I received. The car was handled with care and the interior was clean when I picked it up (usually the steering wheel and other parts of interior are covered with some grease from the shop etc.) so that is a plus. I'll be definitely a returning customer - hopefully not too soon though ;) Thanks!

My son’s car had been sitting for about a year. Accurate took the car right away. Gave us a fair estimate and got the car up and running within 48 hours. They were polite friendly and their communication was excellent. I highly recommend.

I had brakes repaired and clutch replacement (on two different days) on my 2005 Toyota. Which is a lot of work. It was done quickly and efficiently both times. They happily gave me a ride home and picked me up when it was repaired. My car now drives like when I drove it off the showroom. My dog was very happy also because she got to go for the ride.

Matt is very professional. He was able to set up towing and ensured that my car was properly serviced. I received a quote with the work that would be required and recommendations. I am pleased with the work done at Accurate Auto. I would definitely recommend them.

Roger V at Accurate Auto is a great mechanic. He has literally worked on my cars for decades. Matt & the rest of the team are great too. Years ago, one of the former service writers even saved me a BOATLOAD of money a number of years ago. He pointed out that the fix was going to be super expensive, he gave me a range (but hadn't actually priced it out quite yet) and pointed out that the car manufacturer had a "service bulletin" out on the issue and that since my car was not that far outside warranty, I had a decent shot at getting the manufacturer to pick up part of the cost if I took it back to the dealer I bought it from. I did that & it turned out the price was $5000 to $6000 (which was a bit less than he guessed), but the manufacturer picked up over half that.

Expertise and friendly service. They have a variety of loaner cars and that's a big plus. This mechanic accurately diagnose the problem with my car and fix it with no problem at what I thought were reasonable prices. I will definitely bring my vehicle's back when they need maintenance.
