I was excited that MPC was near the office and I wanted to like this place to take my Jaguar SVR for its first oil change service. I find it suspicious when you take your car somewhere and it's returned to you with more issues. I will not return and provide them any more of my hard earned money. My 2c for what it's worth.
Sadly updating a review here - was quoted 7k + on work that seemed not right. Took the car to the dealer - the work was ultimately not needed. Really disappointed as I thought this was a trusted reputable shop

I purchased a vehicle from out of state and had Midwest Performance do a Pre-Purchase Inspection on my behalf since I didn't have the ability to see the car in person prior to buying it.
The shop provided a very thorough inspection with pictures of the exterior and interior including close ups of any damage they found. They even included brake pad/rotor life, tire tread, and fluid levels. The inspection gave me all the information I needed, providing peace of mind that I was making an informed decision with my purchase.

I am pleased to give a solid rating and recommendation for Midwest Performance Cars. I brought my lady’s Audi Q5 in twice to get work done, and received consistent communication, attention to detail, and great results. This is all I could ask for after already receiving a referral from a friend of mines as well as a respected client of theirs.
One last thing, they even make sure you get home safely with a ride back to your destination. If I have any problems in the future, this is where I’ll be heading back to unbothered!

I brought my 2010 Porsche Cayenne GTS here a short while back. They are very professional and extremely thorough. I was impressed by their attention to detail and the knowledge and time they applied to my vehicle. Their staff and the mechanic who worked on my car showed me that they are car enthusiasts who take their work very seriously.
Because of this, they are able to service a high-end clientele. You will notice this right away by the very detailed estimate of what your car needs that you will get via text (please make sure you're sitting down!) and the cars in their shop, which are incredible examples of European excellence. This included an ultra rare CLK 63 AMG Black Series that I got to drool over when I was there.
My Cayenne, however, is considerably more humble than that, and you need to be aware that their top notch services are priced accordingly. I spent nearly $2,000 on, essentially, a defective horn, a broken turn signal lens - which allowed moisture to get in which led to the dreaded 1st generation Cayenne "Check Side Light" warning - and a wheel balance and alignment. That's it. $2,000.
That prevents me from giving them 5 stars in a review that may be relied upon by normal people. If money was no object, this would be a five star review, so rich people, you can stop reading and just bring your car here with 100% assurance. That said, many of us old car enthusiasts are not as well heeled as the type of customer they service. Paying 20% of the value of my vehicle for those few small items still stings. I just do not feel like I got very good value for the car I have. I definitely got good service and quality repairs though.
If you have a rare or special European car that is extremely valuable, and have a ton of money, this is the place for you. If you're like the rest of us mere mortals, there are cheaper options out there that might not be as thorough or pampering, but will get the job done to keep your hoopty on the road.
From the time I first called for an inquiry to the time I actually needed service, MPC, Ryan V. in particular were attentive and on top of my needs. My water pump on my LR4 started leaking and engine started overheating , and even though they were full, they accommodated me and took care of my repairs. The assessments and service were very thorough and priced reasonably. Luxury car treatment without the heavy luxury price tag. Not inexpensive but I would say it’s just right. Highly recommended!
Aimee was fantastic! I discovered this shop through ChatGPT when I was looking for a place to inspect a car before purchase. Their excellent reviews caught my attention, so I reached out. Aimee kindly explained that they specialize only in German vehicles, but she still went out of her way to direct me to another option which saved me money because they discovered an issue that I requested to be repaired before purchasing. That’s what I call world-class customer service! How many businesses take the time to help someone they know won’t become a customer? I only drive Lexus, so I may never get the chance to use their services, but I’ll definitely spread the word about this outstanding business and its incredible team!
I was pulling my hair out trying to find a solution for removing a locking wheel lug bolt with a key snapped off in it on my BMW. After trying various methods at home in the garage as well as taking the car to a friends’ shop to troubleshoot, I contacted Midwest Performance Cars off of a recommendation from my good friends at Ctrl Z coffee. They were able to get the lug bolt replaced and get me back on the road the very same day I made the call! They also gave my car a full inspection and echoed a few known issues that I had with the car. Aimee was very communicative throughout the entire process and the rest of the team were all helpful and welcoming. I really enjoy wrenching on this car myself, but I’m grateful to know that I have a reliable place to go when the job is beyond my own capabilities. Thanks for the assist! I’ll be sure to come back next time I’m struggling with something, or when it’s time for some big power mods!
This is the local independent auto shop you have been looking for! I had an issue with my Porsche Cayenne and stopped by based on a recommendation. They truly could not have been nicer or more helpful. You can trust them and they were very helpful even though it did not directly make them any money. 5 stars 100%!
Great Service So I’m getting in my car preparing to drive from NJ to Chicago and I get a headlamp warning. “No worries I’ll get it fixed in Chicago.” My cousin suggests the shop he uses for his car. I call, they get me an appointment two days later. In addition to the headlamp, they diagnosed that I needed an alignment and wiper blades. Not only did they fit me in, they got me out the same day! The headlamp was not in stock and insanely priced (Not their pricing, that’s all Porsche, a second mortgage price for a headlamp) I digress… Aimee and Brian kept me up to speed on the progress, what could be done and how quickly. They got it all done in one day and we didn’t miss out on any plans because they kept their word. Awesome Team at Midwest Performance!! I highly recommend them.

I scheduled a service appointment for a recently acquired, well maintained 2007 911 that had immobilized itself! Midwest completed a thorough inspection with photos and a detailed explanation of immediate and future service needs. The mechanics were meticulous and all the service team members were professional and just plain nice. Add on top of all that, my car’s issue is resolved and drives like new. Great experience! Will be back for sure!
Excellent customer service but above all the staff is honest and caring. Aimee is warm and friendly, makes the entire process stress free and straightforward. I took my car for a check up and Kaleb kept me updated through the diagnostic stage. I agreed to the repairs and at the end of the day he told me he was able to save me $400 - and you have to think they didn't have to do this as I had already signed in agreement with the original cost. The transparency and good faith give you a sense of trust and confidence that's hard to find in this industry.
Great independent shop with three locations around Chicagoland. They have excellent mechanics and customer service. You will see a lot of Porsches and other performance cars being serviced by them. They have earned my trust.
I’m very happy with my MPC experience! I live out of state and these guys were able to repair my college student daughter’s Mercedes quickly and were reasonably priced. They took care of what was needed and suggested things that should be addressed and things that could wait. They gave peace of mind to a worried dad half way across the country. I highly recommend to anyone with a German car!
Let me start by saying this. I met one of the companies representatives at CIO 24, super cool dude (Sorry but I forgot your name) I have a 06/98 build 996 that I acquired a few years ago and plan on putting some road-trip miles , possibly Tail of the Dragon this year, and wanted a total refresh/thorough inspection performed and repair or replace any hose, clamp, bolt etc…you get the idea. Fast forward to early January 25. I meet with Brian and Aimee who were the contact people. Brian assured me that they would have one of their 996 specialist go over my car and report his findings. Jose, the awesome tech he is did just that! Brian and I discussed the immediate concerns and the “while we’re in there” suggestions. I believe I spoke to Brian at least a half dozen times and double that with emails. His communication and his flexibility are by far the best I’ve received from ANY automotive industry person since my cat addiction started in 1987! I’m going to simply say that MPC is staffed by the most talented, skilled, experienced folks you can ever hope to deal with! I couldn’t even come close to recommending any other shops around to deal with when your dream car needs some attention that requires a skill set well above your own! Thank you MPC! Mike Thomas
I've had nothing but good experiences at MPC in Chicago and Westmont. On one occasion they saved me thousands of dollars by confirming that a dealer had incorrectly diagnosed our GTI with crank walk.
When we talk on the phone and via text they give specific detail, and take the time to explain it to me carefully, answering all of my questions without making me feel like I'm being an inconvenience.
I took my 340i to get some work done and this shop was seriously fantastic. They were very nice, their shop is very clean (full of cool German cars), they charged a very reasonable price, and they even paid for my Uber on the way home after I dropped my car off. They even did a full inspection of my entire car and included photos and comments of everything they found. Amazing. Love it. Can’t recommend this shop enough!
Having read many of the reviews, I decided to try them out for myself. I have found Jonathan and Chris to be a great team and given superb service on Porsches. Not only do you get a photo update and report with pictures taken throughout they really know their cars. Are used to take my car to Porsche, but I have found that these guys a superb job and give you even better service. I have no problem recommending Midwest Performance Cars to you and your Porsche. Also give you a extensive warranty on the work that they do which gives you peace of mind.
