I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, THIS TOWING COMPANY, I HAD REACHED OUT TO 3 OTHER TOWING COMPANY, AND THE FIRST GUY, THEY SENT OUT, DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO JUMP MY VEHICLE, CAUSE THERE WAS A COVER OVER THE BATTERY, AND IF IT NEEDED TO BE TOWED, HE LEFT THE TRUCK, A HALF BLOCK FROM MY VEHICLE,.....XL TOWING CHICAGO (WBE) WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, AND STRESS FREE, THE DISPATCH KEPT ME INFORMED OF EVERYTHING, INCLUDING THE LOCATION OF THE DRIVER AND WHAT TIME TO EXPECT HIM, WHICH WAS VERY HELPFUL, THE DRIVER JON IF I'M NOT MISTAKE, WAS AMAZING, HE CALLED ME, TO TELL ME, THAT HE WAS NEAR, AFTER EXITING THE EXPRESSWAY, HE WAS VERY PET FRIENDLY TO MY SMALL DOG, AND VERY HELPFUL IN ALL AREAS, AND TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO ME, WHAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, IT THE ALTERNATOR, AND EVEN WENT FAR AS ADVISING ME TO TAKE MY RECEIPT TO MY INSURANCE TO BE REVERSED TOWING FEES, THIS GUY WAS LIKE NO OTHER TOW DRIVER, I EVER MET, IT WAS A BLESSING FOR ME TO HAVE CAME ACROSS THEM, AFTER DEALING WITH OTHER TOWING COMPANIES, THAT WASN'T PROFESSIONAL AND TALKING ABOUT 2 1/2 -3HRS WAIT TIME, EVEN TRIPLE A AA TIME WAS 3HRS AND I WAS JUST TOWING MY VEHICLE TWO BLOCKS AWAY, AND THESE OTHER GUYS, MADE IT SO STRESSFUL, WHEN I LOOK AT MY RECEIPT, I WILL CORRECT, THE TOW DRIVER NAME, IF NOT CORRECT, HE AND THIS TOWING COMPANY (XL TOWING CHICAGO (WBE) WAS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE, IF I EVER NEED A TOW, THEY WILL BE MY GO TO TOW
My car was having issues and I called XL towing dispatch. The dispatcher sent there driver down to lower wacker to pick me up and he found me instantly. The tow was affordable to the location where the car needed to go and Juan’s customer service was great. I really appreciate the help. Call this company if you’re ever in a pinch in Chicago. Blair, our tow truck hero did not give up. After working for four hours to dig our daughters car out of the ice we finally gave up and called XL Towing. Pulled them out of google search and we were completely satisfied customers!! Blair went above and beyond took over with the tools to dig the car out of a block of ice!! We Highly recommend! Honestly, straight life savers. Service and speed was fantastic. I was stuck in the middle of lake shore drive in the middle of rush hour. My car died completely. Bosco came out quick, was friendly, professional, and quick to get me out of danger. I wouldn’t trust anyone else but these guys with my car. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. If you’re in a pinch or need help, CALL THEM!
CHRISTIAN did a BEAUTIFUL JOB! So quick and every move he made was perfect. We could tell right away that he was a professional. And he’s so young, been doing it for 7 years! (Very impressive) If we ever need help again, we will request Christian. He even educated us and tried to help us out even more. We tipped him at the end. You should too!
$125 to tow a vehicle literally 3 blocks is ridiculous. Definitely not ever calling this place ever again. To bad I had to put one star or else I definitely would put -5 stars just of the price alone. If the price is ridiculous imagine the service.
XL Towing Chicago is solid. I've used this service a few times already for my vehicles. The drivers are always fast to arrive, polite, and helpful. The lady or ladies that answer the phones are always very nice. Also, the fees for their services seem to be very reasonable. They're definitely not gouging you when you are already in a jam.
After waiting 2.5 hours for a different tow company, I scrapped that and called XL. They knew exactly where I was and had the flat bed truck I needed to me within 30 minutes, and were extremely kind, professional, and helpful.
Man, Louie really came to the rescue for me. Not only did he arrive on the scene in 45 minutes which is extremely fast, but he made sure that I was informed well about what to do about my accident, and also informed me about how I should roll my car safely, and spent 20 minutes looking for a safe spot to park my car. He truly made me feel safe and in great hands. A genuinely fun and great person but also a great tow truck driver. His service was so sweet that I truly have no desire to call any other towing company but this one here. Louie this is Do and I wanted to thank you again and say you are the best!!!!
Louie is a G , dispatch said 1 hr and he was there in exactly 1 hr, he pulled up didn’t waste no time, He had the car on the tow on the quicks. It took him longer to fill out the paperwork than to strap it down. He even placed the car down in a tight a$$ spot in a residential area. Definitely recommend
I wanted to support a woman owned business, because it's awesome that there's a woman owned tow truck company.
The dispatcher was really nice and communicative, the driver was, too.
However, I'm not sure I'd trust them with my motorcycle again. Every time I've towed it or had it towed, my bike has been ratcheted by the forks at the very least. Mt driver had me roll the bike onto the flatbed myself (he helped push, thankfully) and hold the brake while he lifted the bed back horizontal. While it was fun to have a little ride on the back of the tow truck, it felt unorthodox compared to previous tows.
The bike was ratcheted by the wheels with the fork lock engaged, while resting on the kickstand. That doesn't create much tension holding the bike down. No smell chocks were used, either. Ratcheting down with the kickstand down is pretty unorthodox as well.
While driving behind the tow truck, I saw my bike nearly fall over to the right when he went over a large pothole. I was sincerely afraid my bike would fall over. It was very unstable.
I'm sure they're great with towing cars, but I wouldn't trust them with a motorcycle.
This guy is really quick. He got to where we were about 11:25 or something. He had the car running immediately. He had his battery charger out within 1 minute. The car was started a couple of seconds later. Friendly courteous knowledgeable and a nice personality. And the guy just did his stuff and very helpful. 10
Car stopped working while in Pilsen. My fiancé called a nearby shop and was quoted twice the price of XL and asked to wait 60-90 minutes. At the same time, I called XL and they said they could be over within 30 minutes for $95. Thank you to Blair for providing great service. We will definitely call XL the next time something happens.
I had to call XL towing at 7pm on a Tuesday night… my car wouldn’t start while parked on a very small, but busy and crowded road in Chicago. I was parallel parked in between two cars. So him even getting my car out was impressive. But XL towing came to my car within 30 minutes of the call, Blair hooked my car up and “squeezed” it out of the spot like clock work. It was very smooth and they took a ton of worries off my back. Blair even let me ride with him back to my hometown of Elmhurst
Let me start out by saying, I called 3 other companies before calling XL. Sheila answered the phone with the most pleasant voice, Sheila I hope you remember me I had the BMW i3, she was so NICE and helpful, I told her my experience with other companies and how rude they were. Automatically she knew the right person to handle my situation, she said let me send “ Super Dave” and let me say the name says it all. Super Dave shows up and jumped into action, seriously I wanted to say where’s your red cape! Dave was awesome!!!!
I will refer this company to everyone I know!

I just had to get my car towed to the dealership. I called XL towing & spoke to Sherry who was so courteous and helpful with connecting me to Blair & Eddy. My car was parked in my alley on the side of my courtyard building. Eddy was impressive backing into the alley especially since people park back here. Blair spotted him and Eddy was able to tow my car to the street. Blair loaded my car onto the bed expeditiously and the entire process was very smooth and professional. I recommend XL Towing.
XL towing just saved me big time. My car died ON THE FREEWAY and I barely snuck out of traffic onto the shoulder in a pretty sketchy spot. My insurance company's "roadside assistance" took over 2 hours and hadn't even found a tow truck driver. I called XL Towing myself, and there was literally a truck there in 7 minutes. Super friendly driver, super fast and efficient service, and they treated my car (my baby) very well. Thank you XL Towing for the help, and for showing me how awful my roadside assistance is!!
Jerry the driver was great. He arrived early and even called me to say he dropped the vehicle off at the shop. Their pricing was the best out f 3 towing companies I called. They definitely are on my phone now as my go to towing company.
As someone who's gotten themselves into more than a few tough situations, a good tow company is few and even further between. Which was why my experience with XL Towing was so extraordinary, from dispatch to drop off things could not have gone better. Their operator Jason showed inch perfect precision and Sheila was with you every step of the way. To pick a company other than XL Towing to move a vehicle you care about would be a mistake. They are as good as it gets.
I've used XL at my job for several years and have always appreciated their service. The Owner, dispatchers and the drivers are gems. I know they'll be professional and they always come through. But when the worst happens, I wouldn't think of another company to contact. My Mom was in a major car accident that sent she and 4 other people from the scene in an ambulance. I contacted XL, stressed out, and per usual they eased my concerns, and hauled and stored her vehicle for the insurance company. The Best!! Mom's car was totaled but she was fine... Wear your seatbelts!! Please!!
After “roadside assistance” sent literally 8 different low-budget tow companies to try and take my car out of an underground parking garage, none of whom had the proper equipment, the dealership’s sales manager reached out directly to XL Towing. They showed up promptly with the correct equipment. Eddie was efficient, professional and courteous. He had the car loaded and on it’s way for service in minutes. I could not have asked for better service from a tow company.
They were there quick, only 30 minutes after I called. Super friendly driver, even checked on my car to see if he could tell me what the issue might be. He dropped it off at the mechanic in their lot and the whole thing took less than an hour. at $95 it was a bit expensive but I would happily pay it again to avoid the hassle of waiting a long time for someone else.
60 minutes for a tow during the aftermath of a snowstorm. Not bad at all! Dispatch was super friendly. Just wanted to call this out. A lot of us are stressed and it’s so nice to hear a friendly voice on the other end. Thank you!
Called dispatcher Sheri, very friendly and helpful, provided a long-distance flat-rate quote within seconds. Steve was the tow truck driver/operator and he was professional, quick, and friendly. Hopefully wont have a need for a tow again, but if I do, I will be calling XL. Highly recommend.
Steve at XL Towing is the best. Quick service and he helped me jump my car when I thought my battery was dead. I had tried to jump it 4 different times before that without success. Fast, courteous and helpful. Never thought I would say that about a Towing company. Highly recommended
My brother and I were stranded on the expressway for 6 hours. We tried his road side assistance but nobody towed scooters. After speaking to the good people over at XL towing, MJ showed up! This man was excellent help, kind, and knowledgeable. His work was quick and excellent. I cannot thank MJ and XL towing enough. I'll be recommending them everyone I know.
