I bought a product at an advance and I had to return it and they said I couldn't return it because they are not an advance they say they are a car quest so it's nothing but false advertising the only sign they have is advance auto parts

I recently patronized this advance auto parts store in Alsip, IL. During my visit I was assisted by Abdiel. He was extremely knowledge, helpful, sincere, and professional. He exuded patience and care when assisting me with my windshield wiper installation for my Mercedes Benz. He really cares about the customers and their needs.

Horrible experience. The guy at the counter (David) gives me the wrong part number for a headlight. 2 minutes after my purchase I go inside to exchange it and he says he can’t because the package is open. HE GAVE ME THE WRONG PART NUMBER. I had to spend an additional $40 dollars to purchase the correct one. Then he refused to give me the number of their regional manager. So sad they can’t even give you the correct number for a head light. Do not go there. Service is garbage and they could care less about their customers. I have shopped advanced for over 20 years and never again.
This parts store always goes out of their way to help me and most parts, sometimes obsolete they have in stock or get same or next day from their warehouse.
I would have gave to place a half a star but they don't give me that option I'm sitting in their parking lot right now broke down and they can't give me a jump bogus and I bought stuff from the place too
Len took him time getting my package. He didn’t even acknowledge me at first. He made me wait about 10-15 minutes before he even got my package. Then brought it to another counter and didn’t even tell me to switch registers.
I've been to this advance a few times. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful. One of the female employees is rude, and dismissive. She should not be helping people. Store has alot of parking, its clean and well organized.
I was asking about an item price and my gift card balance. The item was more expensive because apparently was in the wrong spot, but mainly they said that I have $2.86 credit left on the card, but I never bought anything. 2 days later, I decided to use it at a different location and it had zero balance. They never found my part that ordered online.

If u ask a simple question while u r waiting, they tell u to wait for ur turn, and when u r being helped, they actually answer other people questions, I wonder if color has to do with it.
It was sad that I had to drive very far away. I will never ever go there.
I bought a life time warranty part from this location. There computer crashed and they told me to bring the part in. I bring it in, way out of the way from my house to get a new one. They tell me it’s not in the system and they will not replace it. What good is having account if the computer crashes and they don’t honor the warranty. I will never shop at a advanced auto parts ever again. Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with.
A certain employee has a real attitude, and is losing the store lifelong customers, including myself. I would rather pay more for parts than deal with a brat.
Always friendly. Gabriel and Amanda are always going the extra mile for everyone. I am always giving them a task that would give someone else a headache. They are the reason this place still has good customers coming back. Keep up the good work!!
I have been buying auto parts for years from Carquest to Advance there knowledge and customer service is excellent. The staff there goes out of there way to get the parts you need and always go the extra mile.. Why go anywhere else !
