It was pouring rain when I locked my keys inside my car. Unfortunately, my husband could not use the Ford Pass app to unlock my car due to the vehicle being in battery save mode. I called Bartley's and had my car unlocked within 5 minutes of their arrival. The guy, Trevor, that helped me was kind, professional and even helped me carry camp chairs to my car and load them in the hatchback. Service fee was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company.
These folks came to our rescue motorhome brakes locked up in a gas station Could not get any one but Bartley to tow us at 3am Towed us back to there garage where they made provisions so we could stay in the motor home while the issue was diagnosed and repaired The repair bill was very reasonable I would definitely have these guys repair my vehicle Great service thank you
Recently had the studs shear off of my tandem truck and lost the 2 front dual wheels and tires. Trevor came out within 20 minutes and got me towed back to my local mechanic.

Had a water pump fail on my trusty Kenworth on a Friday afternoon. Because, of course it’s always on a Friday afternoon. Replacement parts were MIA until Monday, but Trevor went into superhero mode, searching high and low for a one. He made sure I got the VIP treatment. Big thanks to Trevor and his guys for getting me back on the road as soon as possible.
Do not tow your Semi Truck to these guys. They will rip you off big time. First tandem differential blew out, but they started working on the second tandem too which was perfectly fine. Once we decided to have Freightliner do the work, they never plugged the axles and just towed the unit that way spilling out oil everywhere. Per freightliner, the second tandem should have not been touched. Be very Careful!
My experience with these guys was simply great. Trevor is a very cool guy(and yes i name drop cause everyone works differently). We had a miscommunication on dropping the truck off but no one was mad at each other and everyone was respectful. I really recommend them for their experience and their longevity in the towing industry. Also people understand that they have equipment they have to pay for and families to feed. So please understand their rates and the constant service to us as a people who need assistance from these essential people in our industry(trucking industry). All in all being a trucker i understand how under appreciated we are in this world just like these good people at this towing company. So with that keep doing your job guys we appreciate you and just know there other people who appreciate you for helping us out when we are in a fix on the road.

Sad but very true review because this gentleman was very professional on phone but in general when he came to the emergency roadside assistance was horrible because actually in future if drivers friends take friendly advice don’t call local guys because this is favor viseversa but the local guy like him charge hundreds of dollars to just say oh no this was tire leak so we don’t do tire repair but still take money without doing anything but if we have called loves could have fix the problem if needed right there instead just taking money actually if you are trailer guy should tell on phone that we don’t fix tires so person can call loves or Petro actually I was trying to provide local guy that business but was my mistake take care & God bless
Highly recommend for service, price, expertise and safety, I am Canadian stranded in the US, they got me back on the road fixing an electronic problem I have been having problems with for 2 years, no one else could find. They secured my trailer with 2 Harley Motorcycles safely too. They went out of their way... Thanks Travis and all the crew...
Don’t take your truck here for they will rip you off left & right. I was told repair bill would be $750 to tow and 2 hour labor for diagnosing the issue but came out to $1700. Btw They charge you storage on your trailer that’s parked when they work on your truck. Better off taking your truck to a dealer everything that comes out of bobs mouth at the shop is a lie and he is scam artist. Beware of this shop save your money and go else where. STAY AWAY RIP OFF
Called for a tow I said I wanted it. He hung up fast I called back 25 mn latter he said was not coming i told him no. Why is it if people don't wanna work they offer services then don't care to do you could tell in his voice he didn't wanna be bothered.
These people are very rude! Can't even get what you said to them right on the phone either. Several times they have told me they ain't gonna help me/come get my vehicle. A relative also had a run around with them saying they didn't have their keys and guess what they did have them after all. 24/7 hr service my @$$ is wrong too!
Please do not go to this place, save your time, money, and stress. I have gone to this garage 3 times now and cant say I would recommend them.
When I first brought the car in, I found myself stranded within the week of getting it back and ended up taking it back to the shop. Thankfully after the second visit my car was completely fix and I was able to drive around as normal.
The third time I had it taken in (months after second visit) I was stranded in a parking lot. I called, described my car and gave my information, and said that my car would not start. I was FULLY prepared to pay for towing.
I was charged a $85 to have my car jumpstarted when it did not get jumped. When I asked at the time of payment why I was being charged for an unsuccessful jumpstart, I was told I had asked for it when I called them in the first place when my car would not start. I did not, and was fully prepared to have it towed at the time I called. On top of paying for a jumpstart that never happened, I also had to pay $110 for towing. I would have been ok just paying the towing fee, but because the jumpstart was tacked on, I was rather upset.
I got my car back Monday, and had to bring it back into the shop within an hour of driving home because my check engine light was on when it wasn’t before. After bringing it back in they did fix it free of charge. It is currently Friday night of the same week, and I am stranded once again, same issue with the vehicle and everything. Several hundred dollars wasted.
Our daughter was in a car wreck and her car was towed here. By the time my husband and I were able to get there it was after hours and the staff were going home, but they opened back up to let us see the car (what was left of it) and grab a few things. Trevor was especially kind and helpful. Thank you!!
Our truck broke down at a stop light and needed a tow. They misdiagnosed the problem initially and replaced the cylinders. We kept trying to ask questions on what was taking so long since they told us our truck should be done by morning but they kept hanging up on us and arguing. Finally when they got back to us they said it was the clutch (our own mechanic said it was the clutch and told them to check the clutch before they started working on anything). We decided to send our own mechanics out to get it and fix it ourselves. We tried to pay with a card or company check (they said this was fine over the phone) and they refused to take anything but cash when we got there (I’m guessing because it’s easier to hide from the IRS). They continued to yell at us and be difficult and would not let us take our truck until we called the police. The police said they have been called to the same location multiple times over the same kind of issues.
Always great service and they do their jobs well! These guys are top notch in the business and you can certainly tell. They have the equipment and experience to do about any wreck you can imagine. No doubt they are the best in the area for sure!
We broke down at the beach in Mattoon Saturday. I called these guys and the driver was very friendly and happy (at least I felt that he was) to interrupt his Saturday to come rescue us. After 25 min or so I temporarily fixed my issue so I could drive my car home. We called to say we didn’t need his tow service and he actually was happy about it. He was not upset at all. We said we would pay an amount he felt was worth his time and trouble to interrupt his Saturday to come to us and he DIDNT want any payment. Today I will be bringing my car to these folks to fix my issue with my shifter. After being treated like this being a total stranger I feel the service will be excellent as a customer. Thank you again for being ready to help last Saturday and not being upset when we called off the tow!
I got stranded in a parking lot after six pm on a Friday with a car that wouldn’t start. I called 9 different repair places and Bartley Garage was the only one who was both open and willing to come help me. The only other place open on weekends wouldn’t reopen until 8am the next day.
Dan jump-started my car and very kindly helped me out after that, I was not prepared to catch an Uber to a hotel for the night. I crossed my fingers and made the two hour drive home that night and thanks to these guys I got home safely. Thanks again Dan, you’re a lifesaver c:
I saw a few negative reviews. BOGUS!!! I have used Bartley twice on some hairy stuff. Trevor (operator) has been EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and polite. Tow truck companies always get a bad name, but these guys were great! Can’t say enough good about them. They have nice, modern equipment with good operators. If you need pulled out, towed, or service, CALL BARTLEY. They will take care of you. Nothing is free, but to people who appreciate quality service ANYTIME you need it, these are your guys. I hope I don’t have to call them in the future, but if I do, I won’t call anyone else based off my last 2 “hooks”. Great jobs fellas. Much appreciated Trevor!
Listen, When a place has a low rating, it's not just random. The customer service in the place should be enough for you to take your vehicle somewhere else where people car about how they talk to you and you don't have to worry about leaving something as valuable as your vehicle with them. In short, would you let a doctor complete open heart surgery on you and he is demeaning? Condescending? No. Take your freaking car else where. There are many other Garages/Auto Body and such across the nation. Pay for the tow and have a peace of mind.
The worst place for work would not give me a copy of my bill bcause the company i am lease to paid it out of my Maintenance account told me they had it. A tow off the interstate and labor for repaiers was over $2700.00 when i was told shop rate was $90.00 a hour on the side of road. I will never recommend this place to anyone the guys on the side was nice but Bob the owner has a really bad attitude. STAY AWAY BIG TRUCKS WILL RIP YOU OFF BIG TIME.......
Got myself stuck in the median with TORN up bumper in the middle of a snow storm. Zach got there as quickly as he could, and did everything he could to get me out, keep me safe, and give me all the information I needed. We have to give men like him more credit, they deserve it. Such great service yesterday!! AAA was going to make me wait 2 hours, so I called Bartley and they were there in 20 minutes! Didn’t catch the guy’s name, but he was super friendly and helpful which made the process a whole lot less stressful. I will only use Bartley Garage from now on! Thanks guys!!!!
I called to have my car towed and an older gentleman (for lack of better terms) said "We only deal with quality work and customers" and just hung up the phone on me. I don't recommend their services based off of customer service alone. Period.
Bob is great! You can call him at anytime and he'll come to the rescue! I've used him many times when I didn't think I had anyone else to help me, he was there! He specialized in Truck Towing and also Heavy Duty truck repair and is very professional and came very quick.
I had a unbelievably awful experience there! Most unprofessional and ridiculous customer service I have ever received from a business. The owner was rude and shouted profanities at me because I walked outside the building to find someone that worked there. After screaming at me, he told me he assumed I was there to steal my vehicle (that had been towed there after a wreck). I explained that I was there to give them permission to tow it to a body shop, and that I didn't appreciate being treated like that. He told me to "shut up" and "get the hell off his property." After sharing this experience with friends, I've discovered that this is pretty typical behavior and that they are notorious for over-charging people. I will never do business with them again.
