Overall, not a bad experience. I actually just went there to check out a couple of vehicles. When one of the salesmen came out to see if they could help, he didn't push too hard on an attempt to make the sale right then & there. He tried to answer any questions & pass on details about the vehicles for me.

Roger East and the Diepholz staff are excellent! I have traded cars there for the last 14+ years, and I have always been pleased with the sales staff (especially Roger) and followed up by an excellent service department. If you are looking for an honest dealership, then choose Diepholz.

Very quick with my alignment. Car drives straight again and tires are wearing properly. The manager, Christian Czac was very prompt with resolving issues and answering questions!

I really couldn’t have asked for a better or easier experience. I knew what car I wanted, and they never tried to sell me on another or pressure me at all. In fact, I’d say Grant supported me in buying the car more than he sold it to me, which is a giant green flag to me. Easy communication, no surprises at all, clearly presented numbers and facts, and they worked around my schedule. I drove from Champaign and I’d recommend making the trip for an honest, smooth experience with no heavy-handed sales tactics or pressure.

Not a happy customer. Went in for an oil change that ended up spending $2,000. I was told by Cameron that I had a leak in my radiator and they didn't recommend that I drive the car. There had been no signs of this issue prior to this; no leaking, no idiot light signal. I was initially told by Cameron that a rock hit the radiator and caused the damage which he later changed to a simple leak and tried to say I reported the leak to him. Not True! If this had been a rock I would have been able to report it to insurance so I asked for a picture. Cameron sent a picture of the radiator with discoloration from the "leak". However, when I arrived and asked to look at the radiator in person, the leak evidence had been washed away by the rain. Hmm. The labor for this repair was nearly $1,000. When I asked for the labor rate I was told they gave me a discounted rate due to something regarding the Freon level, by lowering the labor rate from $185/hr to $142.50/hr. Average auto repair labor rate for Illinois is around $140/hr. Again, this didn't make sense. Bottom line, I left feeling like I had been taken advantage of as a "dumb old lady" who nothing about cars and was trapped into getting a repair that may not have been as urgent as they claimed. If I had not been told that I should not drive the car, I would have gone somewhere else for the repair. On the one positive note, they did provide a loaner car for the duration of the repair. Pretty sure it was built into the $2,000 repair cost. Did I say, I won't go back to this dealer ever again!!!

This is our second vehicle purchase in Charleston and we have felt very safe working with Kim. I found he goes above and beyond to work with his clients.

Grant sent pictures, took all my information over the phone, and was able to put me in a 2025 Chevrolet Trax. Colton Pettyjohn did awesome. He was very nice very outgoing great salesman not pushy at all, me and Shelby went in to get her new car and we were gonna go in and get used one and he did so awesome that he was able to automate her with a suv he went above an beyond did one better for her and got her into a brand new 2025 Buick the service was awesome I will definitely repeat my service with them. We bought a 2020 expedition there and all whole experience was AMAZING ! We walked in an hour before closing and never once felt rushed even after they closed. Colton Pettyjohn was fantastic! Bought a used truck from Kim in Charleston.great person to deal with they had to fix a part on the truck to make sure that it was safe to drive.then delivered it to me after.had the ac compressor go out not long after the purchase but they fixed the truck and made sure everything was taken care of on there end.once a month I have gotten a text from Kim to make sure that the everything is good on the truck it been 4 months.even got a personal text on my birthday from Kim. I love the service team at Diepholz. I moved an hour away several years ago but I always drive to Diepholz for all of my service needs. They go above and beyond to help no matter the situation. Sherry and team ARE the reason I keep coming back. Logan sold me my last car and I couldn't be happier and I've had it for 6 years!! Their waiting room is very nice and they have free coffee. On Saturdays they have free donuts and free car washes! I highly recommend Diepholz!!!
