Christians Brothers at the Star location serviced my vehicle for the secound time yesterday. I had an oil change with a free detailed car inspection yesterday. For the second time I have found them to be so professional and honest. A rare trait for othes but not for Christian Brothers. Who has time for Dealership service? Save yourself time and money and go to Christian Brothers at the Star location for thorough professional service. They will even refer you to the Dealer if they find a needed repair that should be under warranty as they did for me. Who does that? An Honest auto shop is who. They will do all your maintenance services listed in your owners manual keeping your owners warranty in good standing. They also have a van service to take you to work or home iif you do not have the time to wait. As long as they keep this level of service and Honesty in place I will be their customer for life. Thank You Christian Brothers in Star for being a shop I am willing to recommend to all my friends and family. Great Job!!!

I had a great experience at Christian Brothers Automotive. The service manager went above and beyond by honoring their price, match guarantee, and offering a veterans discount which I truly appreciated. They offered me a ride after I dropped off my vehicle and a return ride when it was ready if I needed it. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and upfront about pricing. Great customer service and fair prices. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them.

I had an amazing experience at Christian Brothers Automotive in Star, Idaho. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. What really stood out was how thorough they were during my oil change — they provided detailed photos of my vehicle and clearly pointed out any areas that may need attention in the future. They also found a hose that needed to be replaced, and the woman helping me took the time to show me exactly where it was and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. Her customer service was truly outstanding. They even accepted a coupon they had sent me, which was a huge help. After several disappointing experiences with oil changes elsewhere, I’m so glad I found this location. I’ll definitely be coming back for all future auto service and will be recommending them to family and friends!

I love it when a company does their job above and beyond. I am so happy with this company. Their diagnostic charge was a little higher than a competitor but I don’t know if that was apples to apples comparison. But, when I gave them the green light to do the work, awesome communication. They listened to me! My truck is driving better than it has in years for an excellent price!

I had a squealing sound coming from under the hood on my 2016 Volvo XC90. The staff was extremely courteous and patient with me and spent time answering my questions. They kept me informed during the repairs. In my opinion anyone who needs advice or automotive repair would feel comfortable with the services Ryan and his staff provide. In addition to that you will feel confident with their expertise and workmanship. Everything was resolved in a timely manner.

I brought my car here for a second opinion after the dealership had already tried to get out of my warranty coverage. They were great! They kept me updated and gave me a thorough estimate. Even though they didn’t complete the repair due to my dealership warranty restrictions, they went out of their way to provide me with all information necessary to ensure that my repairs would be covered with my warranty! I’m not taking my car anywhere else after this

Cameron scheduled me, Ryan and Bri helped me when I arrived: all 3 were very professional and friendly. I even witnessed both Bri and Ryan deal with an angry customer who was making a scene while I was there - they were even respectful to that individual, which reinforced my assessment that they are reliable professionals. I’ve given this shop several chances, and each time I’ve left feeling like they push far more work than is actually necessary. Even on routine visits, they consistently recommend thousands of dollars in additional repairs—many of which don’t line up with the actual condition of my vehicle. For example, they advised me to get an oil change only three months after a full synthetic service, and suggested replacing an air filter I had personally installed just two weeks prior. Those kinds of recommendations make it hard to trust their inspections. Their prices are also some of the highest I’ve seen in the area. If you come here, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major work.

they were fast.....that's it. they are a very unethical company and would not ever recommend them. Christian Brothers mark their parts up (using my parts as reference) over 100%. That does not include labor. Christian Brothers does not check actual time of repairs and only use what there book recommends the time be, whether it takes less time or not. The fact is Christian Brothers don't care at all about how much their prices affect the lives of the people they SERVE in the area. All I can say is that the warranty they provide will run out way before I can pay this bill off. And probably the parts as well. I just hope more people actually look at how much the parts cost vs how much Christian Brothers charge and start looking into why . I know they need to make a profit......but damn, shouldn't be at the expense of regular blue collar people. I say this as a first time and last time customer who can and does all the same repairs that were performed to my vehicle. Lesson learned, don't take a stranded vehicle to CB.

I brought my car in for a full diagnostic and was charged accordingly, but all I received was a simple visual inspection telling me that a bolt was broken something I had already identified before bringing it in. When I followed up, Cameron told me the car was left unlocked with the keys inside when I was ready to come pick it up, but that was not true. The doors were locked, and the keys were missing. When I went in the next day during business hours, they admitted they had lost the keys. Later, I was again told the car was left unlocked with the keys in the cup holder. I went and returned a second time and was unable to pick it up like they claimed I could because there was no keys. I understand that mistakes happen, but losing a customer's keys and misrepresenting the work performed is unacceptable. I expected a diagnostic as described on their website and professional communication. Unfortunately, they didn't provide it even when I requested it. I am a college student who lives out of town and have spent days waiting on them.

Brett and his team of expert technicians are a pleasure to work with. They are great communicators and never over sell you. They go above and beyond and their lobby comfort and courtesy shuttle service are the icing on the cake. I highly recommend that you take your vehicle to these guys in the future.

Took my Ram 3500 in for service, was guaranteed the work would be done on the day they promised. I took the truck in the day before so they would be able to start on it early the next day, when I called the next afternoon to see if it was completed, they told me that the work had not even been started because when I had taken it in the person that took the key and had me sign for the work to be done forgot to show the truck was there to be worked on. Very incompetent and I don't believe I can trust them to work on my vehicles.

Took my car to the dealership where they told me I needed a bunch of fluids replaced, and the rear differential serviced. They also told me that my strap bearings were bad, that I needed a new sway bar, and I would need a wheel alignment after these services are performed. Everything totaling over $2000 on a vehicle that is 3 years old. I decided to take it into Christian Brothers Automotive to get a second opinion and they told me all of my fluids looked fine, that the rare differential was fine, and they couldn’t find any problem with my struts or sway bar. Basically they couldn’t find anything needed for the vehicle at that time and sent me on my way. I really appreciate honesty and will definitely always go back to Christian Brothers Automotive for all of our vehicle needs!

I took my car into CBA last year for some work which turned out to be fairly expensive (for me). This past week, my car was making the exact same issues as last year. I took it back to CBA and thankfully, they honored their warranty and fixed the problem and it cost me nothing. I appreciate their service and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

I recently had to replace my battery. The old battery looked like it had leaked acid, and when I first looked at it, there was much of the acidic powder buildup on the postive terminal. After cleaning up the corrosion as best I could and installing the new battery, over the next few days I had three instances of the car not starting. On Monday morning first thing I brought my car into CBA, my first experience using them. CBA is very close to my home, within a long walk, and I liked the convenience. The shop is very visible off 44 and very clean looking. I was greeted by Briana, and she was always polite, courteous, and professional. She explained that, without an appointment, it might be the next day before I could get my car back. I understand that shops get busy and that trying to fit in a customer without an appointment requires that the customer be patient. Since I am retired and I have my wife's car at my disposal, I was fine with that. That day, I received both a text and an email with my inspection report. Briana did call me in the afternoon and explained the findings. I was a little concerned that the technician initially recommended a new battery, when mine was brand new. It sounded like Briana had to tell him that the battery was brand new, and then a closer examination was done. Briana and I both agreed that the terminals would need to be cleaned up and possibly replaced due to the excessive corrosion from the leakage of the old battery. The battery would then be rechecked to make sure it was holding a charge. I had hoped that Briana might call me back that day with more information, but apparently no further work was done on the car. The next morning, at 8 am, an hour after they opened, though I had hoped for a call and update, I called and spoke to Briana. She told me she would check in with the technician and call me back, which she did about a half hour later. It turned out that after cleaning the terminals of corrosion, the positive terminal needed replacing. The battery was fine, and the car was ready for pick up. Today, the car continues to be working fine. In summary, Briana was always polite, courteous, and professional. The repair was relatively simple, after the initial inspection, and I was charged what was originally estimated, and that did not seem excessive. I was a little concerned that the technician initially jumped to the conclusion that I needed a new battery, since mine was brand new. Ultimately, the right diagnosis was reached. Since it was a simple repair, I would have appreciated not having to wait until the next day to get my car back, but busy shops sometimes have to do that if you don't have an appointment. Overall, I was happy with CBA and Briana and plan to bring both of my cars back if I need future service.

The employees seemed friendly and helpful when they first opened. We took both our vehicles to them for basic services several times. When I took one vehicle to them for an oil change, the employee went over the final inspection report. I didn’t notice until later that day that there were no comments in the report about a brake inspection. I had to make another appointment for the brake inspection and another after that for the brake service. I haven’t gone back since the free road trip service they offered wasn’t thorough; the inspection report lacked important details about brake pad thickness and tire condition. No comments were relayed to me to get new tires. I assumed they were fine. After driving several hundred miles, I learned I urgently needed two new tires due to uneven wear on the inside. After I reported the concerns to the staff, a manager offered to give me a “discount“ on a particular repair and maintenance service. The discount was more than the cost. I paid for the same service at a popular well known service and sales shop in the valley.

Terrible service They did nothing to our cars and kept them for days. The communication is literally none. Went were in a time crunch and they didn’t even look at our car for several days, after they said they could do it right away. Another experience we went to pick up my car after they had it for hours and they still had it on the lift after literally not even servicing my car. I would recommend any friend to go anywhere else but there.

Thank you, Christian Brothers, and especially to Cameron, for your expert and attentive services. My husband and I are so grateful for the careful diagnosis of our older vehicle and your honest direction so that we didn't get into what could have turned into a endless pit of expensive repairs. We will certainly be back when our new car need's maintenance :-) And another bonus was that you had a shuttle available for us since we are a one-car couple. ❤️ It's refreshing to find a auto repair business with honest and kind employees like you all who really care. Brought my car in with 250000 on it and told them up front that the car isn't worth more than about $2k, so if repairs were going to cost any more than that then I won't be doing it. Asked them to give me a full quote on what needed fixing. After supposedly checking everything, they came back and told me the repair would be $900, parts and labor. They do the fix, and "Oops, we found one more thing," and that one more thing was going to bring the total to just over $2k. At that point, I owed the other $900 regardless and the car still wouldn't start, so I asked them if they confirmed that this one more thing was actually the last thing, and they said yes. Now $2k into repairs and, "Oops, we found one more thing." At least the car started and ran, so I paid them the $2k, and they will never get another dollar of mine ever again. The final item was the catalytic converter, which is easily another $1.5k, which would have brought the total to about $3.5k when I told them up front I didn't want to do any work unless the total was under $2k.

The office staff at Christian Brothers Automotive are amazing! Very kind, personable and knowledgeable. It’s so nice to do business with a company that has so much integrity, genuineness and care greatly about their clientele. When we moved from Meridian to Muddleton, I was so excited to learn that there was a Christian Brothers in Star. I had been going to the one in Meridian for years and happy and satisfied there, so it was very encouraging to learn I could continue doing business with them and receiving the same great service and expertise. The mechanics seem well trained, and know what they’re doing. I have great peace of mind taking our vehicles to Christian Brothers. Keep up the great work gang and thanks for always giving me a lift when I need it.

We took our car in to have a new latch put on the hatchback and it was very expensive and came back with a bunch of cereal crumbs on the diver back seat side and the floor. They kept it overnight so we are not sure what happened or who was using our car. They tried to offer us a free oil change because of this but we declined because we will not be taking our car back to them.

Had my truck serviced by CB and the process was smooth and easy. One complaint is that they are pretty expensive, however, the work was done correctly, so I can’t complain too much. Another complaint was I did feel rushed to accept or decline the service’s they were offering. They did claim that they strive to be transparent as possible and I feel like they accomplished that. Nice people, nice building, overall good place to have your vehicle serviced.

Awesome place. Would recommend. Communication was top tier. Had my engine replaced in my truck through these guys. They weren't the cheapest quote nor the most expensive. Al was amazing at maintaining communication throughout the whole process and went above and beyond by honoring the quote they gave me when some unforeseen issues came up. Very impressed so far.

Absolutely excellent service. I was driving down State Street heading home, and noticed they’re beautiful new building. Both my wife and I drive German cars. It is such a hassle to have to take them all the way downtown Boise for basic service. Glad I pulled in and asked if they would work on either a Porsche or a Mercedes. Thankfully they said absolutely. Even took me home after I dropped the car off with their shuttle service.
