I have been calling a few times to get my trash can replaced. To keep animals out of it, I had to duct tape the sides. The cherry of the day was them skipping usual pick up. They crushed my trash can further and didn’t take my trash. The worst service.
I had a devastating experience with Leean Keanum who is the billing POC. I mailed my payment 2 weeks in advance and was still charged a late fee. I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone so I sent an email. Leean responded and incorrectly told me that my check was lost, so I told her that I would send a new one but in order to do that, I had to cancel the first check. Then for some reason, she cashed my check the day after I told her I was cancelling it. So I was also charged an additional $25 NSF fee on top of the late fee, even though they had my check in their possession all along.
I asked for an explanation and never got a response. I called multiple times with no answer and I couldn't leave a message because their VM box is full.
I'm shocked that someone like Leean is the sole POC for billing. I reached to her for help and she carelessly mishandled my issue which resulted in my account being sabotaged when it was previously in good standing. Her lack of professionalism and accountability in a gov position needs to be investigated.
Setting up utilities is never a fun experience, but Leean really was so wonderful. She answer my emails very quickly, and was extremely helpful on the phone. She offered additional information and tips, and really had a great attitude. I didn’t have to wait on hold for hours. She really has been the only person I have spoken to regarding utilities that has had an amazing attitude!!!
This trash company is horrible this picture is just one example of how they leave our trash cans when they do pick up the wheel was completely off on the other side and every other time they literally leave our trash cans in the middle of the road literally
Worst trash service ever! Apart from being inconsistent in scheduled trash pickups, they actually rummage through your trash can. I placed a few empty boxes in the trash bin, and they just pulled them out and threw them on the driveway and left. Their excuse was that the trash can lid has to be completely closed (I mean come on guys). For the amount of money we pay for a simple/basic utility service, we should be able to easily dispose of trash, not get a hassle. If you don't like your job, then please go find a place that you enjoy and dont take it out on the residents of this city....
I can’t understand where my taxes are being used. I already pay city taxes, but still get billed $42 every month for trash collection. The city has multiple income sources, yet we continue paying high taxes and for trash on top of that
This department needs a new supervisor!! I am a homeowner and pay city and county property taxes. I also pay for trash pickup ($40). I have had a large box that was broken down and folded (very manageable) and left next to the Barbie sign recycle can that is given by the city. Your crew has refused to pick it up. I called to ask what the issue was and was told (by a rude older woman) that the drivers are not allowed to get out of the truck. That is almost comical. When did trash become so specialized! We are paying for this service - get out of the truck! If I had a rule that I couldn't get out of my car at work, I wouldn't have a job. I have lived in the City of Marietta and City of Decatur prior to Kennesaw and NEVER had this crazy issue. Truly unbelievable. Your crew is in no more danger than anyone else getting up each morning and getting out their and doing their job.
We were supposed to have our trash picked up this Monday so I called the city of kennesaw and escalated with a supervisor and nothing happened. Our entire neighborhood still have their trash to be picked up. Very disappointed with the city of Kennesaw for taking this long to take action.
What’s the point of me paying y'all to pick up my trash when y'all don’t . I have trash out there & YOUR lazy employees, literally take the trash out the can & throws it on the ground. You all make sure to send that old bitty around here to tell us to pick up our trash or move our cans & if not we’re getting a fine. You all are the ones that need a fine, because YOU AREN’T DOING YOUR JOB !!! Yall suck!
I had a deeply disappointing experience with Chanelle Campbell, the Assistant Zoning Administrator/Planner. During our phone call, she laughed at me when I was simply trying to get clarification on my fence request. This behavior was completely unprofessional and disrespectful, especially when I am a taxpayer in the City of Kennesaw. I felt treated very poorly, as she would not let me speak and seemed to have little regard for my concerns.
Additionally, she insisted on receiving a PDF file from my surveyor, even though my surveyor did everything manually. The work was done by a professional, and in my other house it had already been accepted by Cherokee County without question. It’s hard to understand why this would suddenly be an issue in Kennesaw.
I’m honestly shocked that someone like Chanelle is in a position to approve or deny applications, especially for something as straightforward as a fence on my property with no HOA. Her lack of professionalism and rude behavior have left me very frustrated, and I’m concerned about how such an important role is being handled.
Why do I constantly have to contact you guys about missed pick ups? My pick up day is TUESDAY!!! Left emails w no help. Called and was told they would be back in Kennesaw Friday. Saw republic in my neighborhood as I left Friday. Still didn't pick up my trash. Called yesterday, no answer . Can't leave a message bc it says mailbox is full. Neighbors all got picked up as usual. But I constantly have to remind you guys. What the hell is going on???? 2 times last month received no pick up.
constantly misses my trash can on pick up day. I am about to put a neon sign stating TRASH CAN here. I would fire them if there wasn't a monopoly on trash service.
When government intervenes in the free markets, this is what we end up with. A completely incompetent and non-responsive service provider. In the last year, I have had to contact the City over a dozen times to complain about my trash not being picked up. Eventually, someone gets around to doing it, but the cause of the problem is never addressed.
Don't try emailing anyone at the City. They are non-responsive as well. The city manager, the mayor's office, even our elected representatives won't respond back to emails.
Turn this service back over to the consumer and allow us to choose who we wish to service our sanitation needs. Then, at least, we can fire the provider when they don't provide our expected level of service.
Whoever works there or uses this facility and drives a white rag-4 with a pow sticker on the back likes to tailgate motorcyclists all the way up moon station rd. ??????????
I wish we had other service options in the City of Kennesaw. You pay a lot for awful service. Brings down the value of living here. They leave trash in the streets, knock your cans over into the street, and if it rains, they don't show up at all.
Not only is it ridiculous that I am forced to use your overpriced (compared to other companies) service, but I cannot even set up the service in my name because it is a rental home. My rental company has to have it in their name and they decide which services I pay for and now I'm paying even more. Screw the city of Kennesaw for this.
They don’t care if you have to start prostituting yourself just to pay your bills! How can you make trash service mandatory but offer no payment plans or any options whatsoever for financial hardships? All of my calls and emails on the topic have been ignored. They are putting people in desperate situations but since this is a monopoly they just don’t care. Pay your bill no matter what or we’ll put a lien on your house! Kennesaw is a cesspool that gets their money through legal racketeering. Even city workers don’t live here because they know just how corrupt it is. That should tell you something!
So the city just decided to switch to a new billing system and will charge you a minimum of $2.00 (close to 10% of my monthly invoice) now!!! If 9% inflation was not enough, organization like this one make sure to strain your financial wellness. Their services is already more expensive that other cities surrounding them but since they have a monopoly they think they can do what they want!
Kennesaw sanitation is a monopoly in this city! Lived in the same house for 7 years with my husband, and on Friday our trashcan was loaded into the back of a truck. We both thought they were replacing the bin bc it was broken. It hadn’t been returned on Monday, so I called and asked what’s up. They informed me that we haven’t paid in 3 months. What?! We received no phone calls, emails, texts, or even letters. Our card had expired and it slipped our minds (we have a 10 month old too). I call to ask if they can waive the $50 reinstatement fee, as we have NEVER been late. They refuse. They charge me $132.82 to restart our trash, but we will not receive a trashcan until next Friday! That is 10 days away!! Again, we have a baby, and our trash is full daily. So irritated we have no other options for trash in Kennesaw! Customer service was horrible. We can’t wait to move of out this town, and this just solidified our decision to do so.
