DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! I have been here for ages because one after one, every single advisor has absolutely screwed me over just to make thousands off my tuition fees. They will make you a master schedule and LEAVE OUT REQUIRED COURSES AND THEIR PERQUISITES so you will not be able to graduate. They housed me with a man who went manic, outed me, stole my bedroom key, sent explicit images and materials to minors, AND HE STILL GOES HERE!!! This school will do anything and everything to work against you. When I took it to OIE, they were biased AGAINST ME!! I had to schedule meetings and have my dad show up. My assigned investigator told me my claims were too vague and unsupported (despite my pages of screenshots, police reports, etc) because of the phrasing of my intake administrator. My intake administrator also reached out personally to the person I made my case on prior to the issuing of the no contact order and put my life in danger just to support an abuser. I have had three advisors and each one will omit from telling you about classes that are required and that have prerequisites until you will have an additional 3+ years on your graduation. The most slimy, greedy, corrupt and disgusting institution I have ever had the displeasure of being stuck at.

Great concert hall. Great performance by the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields.

Plenty of places to eat. Nice teachers, nice staff. Bus routes could be better though.

Lots of great opportunities for students and for families. Biggest concern is the traffic and parking. Very clean!

The Associate Director, Housing and Residence Life, Alli Hurtado, just admitted on the phone that they KNOWLY accepted 3x the amount of housing applications and now 1/3 of the students that needed housing are being ignored due to the fact that the semester starts in 3 days. The school Housing and Residence Life should be notifying students who don't have housing ahead of time so arrangements can be made. Instead they put you on a "waitlist". Either you have the space for X amount of students or you don't, PERIOD. Lets think this out together. If I have 5 rooms available and 8 applications, I fill the 5 rooms, common sense would be to let the other 3 know that the rooms have been filled and they can re-apply if one OPENS up.. Its not rocket science.. its disgusting, every year KSU overbooks the housing just to send students away that could have been enrolled at another school IF they were notified in a timely matter that their housing needs would not be met. Shame on you all - UGA would NEVER - GO DAWGS . Will be addressing this issue with the UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF GEORGIA since KSU seems like they don't have the competence to deal with this operations problem in Housing and Residence Life department.

This school is phenomenal. I just graduated and the students I walked amongst are some of the hardest workers and best students. They are humble to the core and Kennesaw State University has immense opportunities for the students who really want to go out there and take the initiative to have a go at them. If you are a local and are planning on sending your kid to a university and also want them to be at home whilst doing so then this school is perfect. The professors here are absolutely brilliant and are doing cutting edge research (speaking as a CSM graduate). You can make your own experience. And personally if you’re a rising college freshman reading this then 100% go tour the campus, eat at the dining hall, talk to the current students and also implore on learning about the academics you’ll be surprised at what you can do within 4 years. Absolutely get involved. Good luck and congratulations to the new graduates Class of 2025!! State universities are hidden gems and go under appreciated and this university serves as a prime example.

This campus is booming with a vibrant excitement. Met the President, really cool lady and her staff. (Very comfortable conference table chairs)

I am disappointed in KSU housing. They demand a 200 despot to continue the process of housing and that 200 is nonrefundable and they don't have ENOUGH dorms for students. Waitlist is to long. Theyll then continue asking if you want to buy insurance for dorms as if you got a dorm and turns out, you dont. Money rip off one after another. If you cant provide a dorm, do not charge students on anything or even ask them to continue or that should be a refundable instead of nonrefundable.

Bad experience with Graduate Admissions. Nasia Perez made the application extremely stressful. I wanted to be admitted for summer but she made the application process stressful and now not able to take summer classes even though I received permission from program co-ordinator to take summer classes. I have always loved KSU but admission process leave a bad taste in my mouth

For a high school graduations, the venue is a good size, but the volume of the audio needs to be adjusted because you cannot hear anything over the sound of the HVAC

I was thinking about applying to KSU but after seeing the video of one of the graduates being escorted off stage for holding a sign that reads black studies matter it no longer appeals to me.

I visited Kennesaw State 2years ago and it is an institution that anyone would be proud to attend. It has a beautiful campus with plenty of parking for students who may commute. School of journalism has excellent teachers who will teach you all about being a reporter. Everyone is welcoming and the campus is very clean with a lot of trees

I have gotten both my undergraduate and my master's degree from here. I have found most of the teachers to be helpful, and when I need someone from the registrar or bursar or card services or tutoring they all seem ready and able to help me. The TAs are all wonderful. The low review is because of the disappointing lack of rigor in the curriculum. A professor admitted to me when I was an undergrad that the school was trying to shed the identity as a commuter school; and sacrificed the curriculums of many degrees to get more people to stay for the full four years. The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Computer Science degree is the Bachelor of Science in CS, but stripped of it's hard sciences so they could get more graduates through. A friend of mine took a Master's level Cybersecurity class where a team had 4 months to create a cyber defense for a virtual server. A team did nothing for 4 months, not even disabling or changing the default password given by KSU...and got a 97. I do not know where the blame lies, because so much of the staff I have found to be kind and responsive, but at the function of holding students to an academic standard, KSU fails.

Three different fees for one gym and now they charge you for books you dont even use, while at the same time they can't even keep the students bathrooms clean. ive never been to a more greedy and careless school.

Was accepted to KSU but decided to unenroll due to the trouble I was going through. My advisor was horrible and not helpful. Most classes are reserved for freshman and students who are majoring in the subject. I get it, but it’s not fair because if I get to the class first, I should be able to sign up for it. I’m assuming they don’t have that many professors, because if the class isn’t reserved, it’s full. I called the school for help when my advisor wasn’t being helpful, and they were unhelpful also. The girl over the phone recommended that I start Spring instead of Fall. Like why would I further delay myself???

I want to share my experience at the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. I enrolled in the PhD program in International Conflict Management in August 2023 but had to leave after four months due to encountering racism and anti-Palestinian attitudes, which made the environment very unwelcoming. Here’s what happened: As a PhD student in International Conflict Management, I wrote an op-ed essay on October 2023, which was published on the Middle East Monitor website about the conflict in Palestine. Two days later, the school asked for my permission to post the essay on the school’s LinkedIn page. It was posted but lasted only seven hours before being deleted due to concerns about donor influence on knowledge policy. I mention this to highlight the need to address academic freedom and the relationship between struggle and study, especially in a world where theories can be selectively opened and closed. The next day, the school director informed me that the article was deleted due to safety concerns raised by a major donor of the Norman J. Radow College. To understand how a donor's comment led to the deletion of an op-ed on a conflict topic in a conflict management school, I had numerous conversations with the school’s director, dean, and student affairs dean, and I also contacted the provost's office to discuss academic freedom in the PhD program. Despite these efforts, almost nobody paid enough attention to the role of donors. However, the college dean did ask if I wanted her to facilitate my departure after I informed the program of my intention to leave. Higher education needs to be decolonized, especially if one cannot write about critical topics like Haiti, Palestine, and Kashmir in a conflict management school. KSU affects knowledge quality and recipients based on gender, class, race, and sexuality. The negative impact of commercializing education, which leaves many students struggling to meet basic needs and maintain a decent quality of life, is particularly felt by students from BIPOC communities (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color). Significant issues include student debt, health insurance costs, housing, campus activities, the student acceptance process, and diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. These factors disproportionately affect BIPOC students, placing them in disadvantageous positions and often forcing them to leave their programs. My experience demonstrated how heavily the university's policies are influenced by big donors, creating an unwelcoming environment for PhD students to learn and innovate. During my four months in the program, I had to switch accommodations nine times between different hotels and Airbnbs due to housing issues, which no one seemed willing to address. As an international student, I couldn’t secure housing because landlords required a credit history, two months' rent as a security deposit, or a guarantor, none of which I could provide. This renting policy results in social sorting, leaving marginalized communities like international students and people of color struggling with housing. I contacted the graduate school about this issue, but no one responded to my queries. Financially, the situation was dire, as the stipends provided to graduate students were insufficient to meet basic needs. This university is broken. I witnessed a deeply racist incident against a Black classmate, and no staff or faculty member addressed the issue. Students had to mediate the dispute after the school director stepped down. Even some faculty members admitted that one of the biggest challenges KSU students face in finding a job is the school’s name. Such negative energy is disheartening. This is my own experience, and I hope yours will be better. However, my advice is, if you have other options, save your time and do not attend KSU or join the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The quality of education is more important than the education itself.

Attending this college was the biggest mistake of my life. Complete waste of time and money. I spent more time arguing with bureaucrats than attending classes. Not only will they not help you get the classes you need, they’ll actively hinder you. The system students use for signing up for classes (called Owl Express when I was there) is fundamentally broken, and they will not fix it. They won’t even acknowledge that a problem exists. There was briefly a page for reporting problems, but it didn’t work either. If you email someone about it, you won’t get a reply. When (not if) you have a problem signing up for a class, the only thing administrators will do is tell you to take another semester. Can’t sign up for a class with seats available because it’s “full”? Take another semester. There aren’t enough labs seats available to cover the lecture class? Take another semester. Unknown error? Take another semester. The unknown error is the worst of them. If you get an unknown error while trying to sign up for a class, you need to transfer out immediately as you will never get that class. I got that error my second semester and every subsequent semester until I escaped. No one that worked there was willing to do anything about it, they wouldn’t even acknowledge that it happened. All they would do is tell me to take another semester. It should be noted that taking another semester means paying tuition again. Every semester you take means more money for them and more debt for you. So obviously they won’t help students graduate, it’s more profitable not to. Another problem is priority registration. A good college lets students register earlier and earlier as they progress so that they can more easily get the classes they need. Not KSU. KSU uses priority registration as a reward for participating in certain programs. The only time I got it was when I did peer leadership, but I never got it because I needed it. So as you progress through your required classes, it actually gets harder and harder to get classes you need as there are fewer options left. The problems are so bad I had to CHANGE MAJORS so I could graduate before my financial aid ran out. Even then I couldn’t get one of the two classes I needed to graduate. My last half-semester I had to wait three days before I could sign up for classes, and by then one of them was full. I sent a help e-mail asking if anything could be done and, surprise, they told me I’d just have to take another semester. That was my last semester, and they still told me to take more. Even if I could afford to keep taking classes, it had taken so long to even get to that point that my earlier credits were about to expire. I was out of money, I was out of financial aid, I was out of time, and they still refused to help. They bled me dry and they were still trying to take more. They took everything, and it wasn’t enough for them. Anyone who has experience with customer service has probably heard the phrase, “I understand that you’re upset.” Customer service workers are taught to recite this in order to feign empathy. You won’t get that at KSU, because they don’t care enough to fake empathy. They don’t understand that you’re upset, and they don’t care. They don’t even care enough to pretend to care. They hold all of the cards, there’s nothing you can do about it, and they know it. Their one solution for everything is to tell you to give them more money. I’d like to draw attention to the fact that everything I’ve written is only about registering for classes. There are lots of terrible thing about attending this school, but for this review I chose to only focus on the most basic requirement of being a university. This is just one problem of many. DO NOT attend this university. Don’t attend, don’t work there, don’t even date someone that attends. If you’re even thinking about attending, I can save you the trouble by summarizing the main lesson of this school in a single sentence: Bureaucrats would rather ruin your life than spend a single second doing their jobs.

I received a email from the finical aid department on the last day of the semester saying I am no longer eligible for finical aid, when I made As in the two classes I took this semester. I don't recommend coming here at all. The staff doesn't care,as I suffer mental health issues and was homeless earlier this semester and still did very well. Now I can't go ahold of anyone in the finical aid department because the semester is over. My advice is not waste your money.

It should not take me an hour to get to class while living 10 minutes (driving) from campus. The parking is horrific, if we are paying $95.00 (one semester) for a parking pass it shouldn’t take an hour to park in our designated areas. It is atrocious at how they care more about money than their students. I would warn anyone from coming to this school, because they are known for ripping off their student’s

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This school is absolutely terrible. You will more than likely NOT graduate in 4 years. The administrators are rude (received an email from an administrator talking to me like I’m stupid), unhelpful, and couldn’t care less about graduating on time or at all. I think they try to do everything in their power to keep you there so they’ll keep getting your money. Professors are the same way. Couldn’t care less if you pass their class. What kind of institution is this? If you hate students and don’t want to see them be successful, maybe go into a different career field? It took me 6 years to graduate because they don’t have enough classes, every single class almost has a prerequisite, and make you jump through hoops just to retake a class. Give your money to a college that actually cares about your success. Most of the people that work here are absolutely useless.

Absolutely a terrible school. Not enough staff, poor communication with students and an assembly line feel. Every semester is a new issue with either financial aid, registering for classes, getting parking pass or just having your classes randomly drop and then have you be responsible for signing up again. The best feeling I had at that school WAS LEAVING IT FOR ANOTHER SCHOOL. They should spend more time on hiring competent employees and professors and not building a worthless Football team to play the local little leagues. My wife attends there and had to undergo 6 surgeries in the span of 2 years. The professors and employees were the most in considerate human beings I've ever experienced. Rather than allowing her to medically withdrawal they saddled her with "F"s in the class rather than Incomplete. I hope those professors suffer as she did those 2 years. I've never reviewed anything on Google before but here I am for KSU, that says a lot.

I loved being a student at Kennesaw State University. I have had great professors and positive interactions with all of the staff. This is a massive school though. The student population is huge and extremely diverse. This often makes campus super packed, including the library, rec center, and all dining locations. This is not the school for someone looking for a small college experience. Student life on campus is pretty active, but not as active as it would be at a traditional college.

I love this school very much since I will be graduating from here.. but DO NOT live on campus they won’t provide any reasonable accommodation and anyone dealing with housing will bug you about every little thing, even things that aren’t their business. Classes are hardly ever open, majority of the teachers have really bad ratings and you have no choice but to get stuck with them just so you can graduate on time. This school is growing too fast. There aren’t enough teachers for the amount of students that go here .. I do not regret making my choice to go here, but I do regret living on campus worst decision ever.

DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL!! Kennesaw State has way too many students than they can handle. They have way more students than they have classes and the classes fill up extremely fast. You will probably NOT graduate on time. It will probably take you 5/6 years just to graduate since they barely have open classes. They need to either hire more Professor's so we can have more open classes or change their GPA requirement because it seems like everyone who applies gets in!! Good luck trying to find somewhere to park because the parking is horrible. The administrators are horrible and rude and never know what they are talking about. If you call the registrars office for help, you will often be given many different answers. The financial aid office is extremely flawed and have made countless mistakes with my financial aid. The school is huge so Professors could care less about helping you succeed. Don't even think twice about getting into their nursing program if you don't have a 4.0. Please save your pennies and look into other schools before choosing KSU. If you decide to come here...you will learn that everything I said in this review was true.

Please don't be fooled by how beautiful this school looks. That's all there is to it; all they have is their looks. The school is so money hungry. They make freshman that are staying on campus get this expensive meal plan that just goes to waste. They cost to stay on campus is way too high. Parking is ridiculous, the wifi is terrible, the list goes on. All I can say is, I wish i would've never come here. It is organized in some manners and has many services available to students, but they're just too money hungry. I think more people would be happy if we weren't paying so much money to have no wifi, no parking spaces and to have our swipes, dining dollars, and k-cash taken away just so that we would buy another meal plan for the summer. Also with housing, they should allow everyone to move out in May like any other normal school, but because they're after that MONEY.... Please, please, please do your research on this school!!! Pay attention to these reviews.
