I recently had some fairly extensive work to the engine so when she called with caution lights coming on dash it was quite a concern. Pops Automotive was referred to me and they were fantastic!! I had an issue with the thermostat on my 2013 Ford F-150 5L. I dropped the truck off in the morning and they were finished before noon.
Not only did they complete the service and repair quickly and effectively, they swapped a plastic OEM part with an improved metal replacement - a potential issue I read about online but forgot to ask about.
I could not have been more impressed with the service at Pops and so grateful to have found this trusted mechanic in the Freeport/Portland area.
I will be trusting my MGB to them soon and expect the same excellence.

Fantastic service. Quickly diagnosed my car issue, got me scheduled, and completed the work on time. Great work and communication. Replaced my thermostat and coolant. They also did an oil change. Very happy I tried Pop’s Automotive and highly recommend.
I have taken several of my vehicles in to Pop's and have never been disappointed with either the service or pricing. Recently I had to have my truck taken to one of the Ford dealerships for a recall and I was recommended several additional services beyond the recall and all were listed as "critical" by the dealership. I took to Pop's instead and was recommended to have service performed on just a few of those items. Additionally, his price ended up being about half of what the dealership was going to charge.

Troy worked us in right before the holidays for new shocks, oil change, differential fluid and several other key maintenance items on our 4Runner — all in one day, at a fair price, and spot on his estimate. It’s great to have a local mechanic, with decades of experience, a well equipped shop, and great communication. He loves Toyotas, but the range of vehicles in his lot tells me I can trust him with our ‘83 F150 too.

97° and my A/C breaks. Called around (I'm not a local) and Troy says he can look at it TODAY! He quickly diagnosed the fan and relay, had the parts delivered immediately, and I was back on the road in COOL AIR!!! I'd make him my first call if I'm ever in need in Freeport. A++ service..and he's really nice too.
