I’ve been going here for years, whatever he told me I trusted him. Something’s we’re not done to what I expected but I ignore this. But this last time was major, I took my Mercedes to him for a tune-up and to replace some lamp bulbs. When I picked my car up, I should have known because I didn’t get a receipt. I picked my car up on the 18th of November. . I don’t drive it much because I’m retired. I put my car on the road Thanksgiving Eve to go to Atlanta I noticed it sputtered when I gave it gas, but I thought it was because I don’t drive it on the highway often. Halfway up there the check lamp light came on. When I stopped for gas I noticed that one of the lights that he had “ replaced” was not working. After arriving in Atlanta to my daughter’s house, I never drove the car again because I rode with her. When preparing to leave Saturday I turned the car on and the check engine light came on, I called my husband who told me to take it to auto zone to put on the machine. The machine said there was a leak in the intake air system. I took my car to a mechanic who ran the smoke test and he found the leak in the gaskets, he stated this should have been found during your tune up. When I read up on tune ups, it stated all fluids, gaskets, spark plugs are to be checked and replaced if needed. I had to pay $480 to have my gaskets replaced. When I brought this to Nick’s attention (oh my windshield fluid was empty also cause that light came on also), he stated the guy was ripping me off and I could just have had the the computer reset n the check engine light wouldn’t come back on. He stated they don’t check gaskets n wiper fluid on tuneups If my car made it there it could make it back. When I told him about the smoke test n stated they did that and there was no leaks when I drove it off his lot and there was nothing he could do to help me. I feel that I did not get a full tune-up and I blame myself because I trusted him so I didn’t request a receipt for the service. This really hurts, because now I wonder how many other times I’ve brought my vehicles to him and the service was only partially done.
BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE BROUGHT MY 2001 HONDA CIVIC THERE AND THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED A E.C.U COMPUTER PUT IN THATS WHY IT WAS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY HE HAD MY CAR ALMOST 2MONTHS AND KEPT PUTTING E.C.U COMPUTERS IN AND HE COULDNT PROGRAM ANY TO WORK KEPT GIVING EXCUSES FINALLY I WAS FED UP AND WENT AND GOT MY CAR AND NOW THE KEY LIGHT IS FLASHING AND MY R.P.M GAUGE DOESNT WORK OR MY A.C AND ALL OF THIS WORKED WHEN I DROPPED THE VEHICLE OF THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SHADE TREE MECHANICS AND RIP OFFS I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU IMMEDIATELY! THEY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!
This is the worst mechanic place and they are scammers. My disabled mother who had two massive stroke brought her truck to them and they broke stuff just so they can charge her. Her check engine light was on now it's less than two weeks and the light came on. They tell you they change things on the truck but didn't. My mother spender over $1000 still her truck isn't fixed. How can these man sleep at night knowing that they didn't do the job. Now we reported the issues to them. The owner Nicky who worked on the truck started to throw insults. I would give this place a negative zero star of I could. Also of I can report them to the BBB bureau I would bcuz they shouldn't be in business scamming honest hard working people.
Mechanic failed to replace 2 motor mount bolts missing starter bolt, used a needle to repair connectors they broke, failed to reroute wiring harness correctly and made a pigtail extension using cheap connectors in which 3 of the wire pulled out, cracked intake manifold and jb welded back together (leaking) they even routed the wiring to the alternator so bad that it started to melt its way through the intake manifold… and all of this damage including the owner of the vehicle having to purchase another vehicle because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with his car for months after was all because he needed an ac condenser bolt replaced
Dropped my car off last night at closing and it was done by lunch time today
Quick and efficient is the best way to describe this shop. Also he charges 1/3 what the hyundai dealer ship was going to charge me.

Best shop ever . We originally went to hyundai who quoted us $1200 for engine mount replacement. we called this shop he quoted us 500 we dropped it off and he had it ready in less than 24 hours . He also charged us less than the original quote which was a happy surprise.

after looking all over this is the place i decided to go too although it was the most packed they still did a good job it took some time yes but in the end they gave me a good price and fixed the car would come back here if my car needs another fix.
I couldn't believe I was able to come right down there and have them start working on my truck .Thought I was going to be there all day, I was out of there by 10 o'clock! Very reasonable for the work I had done, defini tely will use again.
Has to be the worst mechanic in Florida. Destroyed my engine my truck is down for 4 months.Nick won't return my money so now I'm getting an attorney. He tells me go ahead ive never lost a case. Shows you how bad of a person he is.
Avoid this auto shop , paid Nick $3000 for a transmission repair , after 3 months of lies and excuses I had the car collected from him , he has ignored my refund requests
I am a customer of Deland Auto repair for decades now. They had been in Deltona years ago, then in deland on the east side and now in the new location on west New york ave. Very honest and knowledgable. Nick and his crew are awesome. They keept my old cars running and in great workung order at reasonable cost. No snake oil, no needless stuff and no excuses. Good, honest work professionally done. And you are not taken advantage of. Very rare. I recommended him to friends and they drive all the way from Orlando to get their cars done.
I've brought my car here twice and both times I have been lied to and told my car was fixed and would work perfectly fine. Both times I had waited extended periods of time from when they said it would be done and nothing had changed after weeks of supposed service for a tire change and an alternator replacement
Came here on July 5, because when I shut off the car the fan continued running until it drained the battery. The problem was a relay. The total cost was just $35, they could easily taken advantage of me.
I recommend this shop, Nick is the only honest mechanic I have ever known.

It’s not a mystery why they are ranked #1 on google search for auto repair in Deland. Today at 8:00am, the water pump in my work truck failed on 44 and I4. I called the shop and 20 minutes later the truck was picked up. Less than 2 hours later, pump installed and my crew is back on the road with the day salvaged. Thank you very much!
Btw: $350 for a water pump on 2018 Silverado 1500 is more than $100 less than average cost to replace. That’s with the tow.
I was referred to Deland Auto Repair by a locksmith when our truck was locked with the keys inside and engine running. Nick came out and opened the door, but in doing it, he damaged the B pillar paint twice, where he inserted something to try to unlock the door but didn't say anything to us.
We didn't notice it and paid him his $45 bill. When we got home, we noticed the damage. I definitely would not recommend him for anything.
BEWARE!!! If I could give negative stars I would! I was told my car was fixed multiple times, only to find the check engine light come back on before I even got to the end of the road. Excuse after excuse. The mechanic even once yelled at me and told me to come pick up my car because he was "tired of working on it" This being after they had been paid to fix the issue, which is the only reason I kept returning. I requested a refund so I could go somewhere that would fix my car but that was not an option. After a month long headache and over $1000, they once again told me I could come get my car, as it was running great. However, this time they broke my grill and attempted to claim it "brittled off" It did not brittle off, there was a clear crack on both sides of the top of the grill where someone was obviously leaning too much on the grill and broke it. I again drove off praying the issue was fixed, NOPE!!! My car is still doing exactly what it was the day I took it in, a month ago! I will now have to go pay someone else to fix the same issue. And when I sent a video of the car doing the same thing to the owner stating it was not fixed, no response. Don't waste you time or money! As I was there this last day, another woman was there who had taken her car in and it wouldn't even stat after they had worked on it. She stated this was not even the issue when she took it in. The owner stated to her he didn't know what to do with it because it wasn't giving him any codes. Good luck lady!
I needed my Mercedes headlight replaced, Nick suggested I buy the entire housing through amazon, which cost me a fraction of OEM, he installed for me for another fraction, I was so pleased, I highly recommend the shop.
I found this auto repair shop on the internet, and couldn't ask for a better place to have your auto repaired!! They are honest and dependable and will do what ever it take to fix your car!!!

I have left my cars with these guys for years, from simple oil change to drive shaft repair to computer panel rebuild. I have never been disappointed in the quality of their work or the price I've paid for repairs. Just small town guys, down to earth, who know what they are doing.😉👍🏼
May not look like a high end repair shop, but these guys know what they're doing and above all they are HONEST. No RIP off scams here.
Nick, the owner, has become a good friend to me and helped with everything I needed. If they cant do it they will actually guide you to someone who can.
