$10 and a pickup truck load of odd-n-end junk from my house and property. Easy access and a quick look at the load by the attendant and I was dumping it all.
While the staff are friendly and the dump appears to be well maintained, they charge you to “recycle” boxes and such. First place I have ever paid to recycle through multiple states. Was told they started charging due to illegal dumping. So instead of putting up some security they decided to charge you. Thanks, now all my recycling will go in with the trash instead of driving an hour and paying.
Business hours are totally messed up I've been up here four times trying to get some free paint and they haven't been opened not once on the days they were supposed to be
Just remember to uncover your load or they will make you go to the back of the line and take your tarp or your cover off before they let you go through. A new rule I waited in line for 20 minutes just to go to the back of the line to wait again it sucked. But other than that they take everything.
I had several old rv propane tanks. Can't put them into the trash (for obvious reasons), can't refill them due to their age, can't take them to salvage yard without literally cutting them in half. I was able to pull into the county recycling center, and drop them off, no questions asked! They also take paint, motor oil and other automotive liquids (in limited quantities), electronics, etc. I definitely recommend this, as being a great option for stuff that shouldn't be going into the regular waste disposal.........
These folks make it simple! I had a old grill, washer, push mower and misc scrap! I was heading to the dump with it when my wife mentioned "try taking it to the scrap yard first"! Instead of me paying to dump it these folks paid me! It was simple and actually very cool to watch them pick the stuff up right out of the truck with a big magnet! Highly recommend giving these guys a try!
