3rd time at this place. Had a gentleman named Jamie who helped me out today. Very informative and friendly. They have fair prices. I will continue coming to this place.

I used to enjoy using this business until recently. After years of recycling here bringing large amounts of metal or copper at times. I experienced one time I brought a small amount compared to normal and noticed I was paid lower than the copper price was at the time. After leaving, I called and brought this to their attention and was told because I brought in a small amount. I got paid a lower amount. I always assumed the amount per pound should not depend on the amount of recyclables being sold. Sad to see people come to America and run this kind of dishonest business. I will never return. The place I use now has posted the amount per pound of ALL metals being sold And the weight of what you are recycling, so everybody can see it

They pay less here for aluminum scrap as compared to other scrap recycling companies around the area. That is most likely in part because of all of their scales and systems. They weigh your materials on a scale, then record your ID, your license number, and your fingerprint.

They refused to price match unless you're a regular or bringing a lot of weight. So I went elsewhere. Osceola Metal pays more.

Prices have dropped on extruded aluminum big time. I don't know what happened as far as ownership, but I won't be going back again.

First and second time going in one day. They had a quick and efficient process. I was in and out in 10 minutes with cash in hand bith times. The first time took a minute longer to put my info in the system. Second time I pulled in there were 3 people in line but they were done and out before I even unloaded into the bin.

I’ve been going to most of scrap yard in Orlando, they are all fairly nice but I always choose to come to this yard because they are the ones who always pay best. It’s worth it even being far away from the company I work for.

Guys were helpful, but I know for a fact your not selling #1 pp steel as shreddable tin. Which makes this a dishonest business. I will not return.

I always come here and I'm on a name to name basis with pretty much everyone. Everyone is friendly and pricewise they have always been honest. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I highly recommend SMT for anyone looking to dispose of metal, aluminum, computers, electronics, etc. I have been taking scrap metal and electronics to SMT since 2015 for past 2 yrs and my experience has always been positive and prices paid are always fair for current market value and workers are friendly.

Oh Em Gee, what a giant rip off I brought in 10 windows and only got six dollars they blatantly rip me off on the price but what am I supposed to do. They say Aluminum is only seven cents a pound were everyone else is given $.40 a pound do not go here it is a giant rip off and just a mess of a system go anywhere else but here

Very courteous group of people. Treats me with respect and I believe has a honest business in weighing my scrap. I admire their resilience in the business and their innovative use of scrap to make customers comfortable while waiting for the transaction to complete.

Can I say rip off! I knew I had way more copper, but when I get to window the guy say I had 7 pounds and they had already dumped it smh. I will never go here again

I brought #1 copper here the guy even said it was very nice #1 shiny copper so I go to get paid and guess what they paid me #2 copper price and only left after we almost had a huge fight and they threaten to call the cops. I'm a o welder and my employer let's me have all the used tips and consumables from our burn tables so I sell hundreds of pounds at a time we'll after going to a place farther away for about a year but always got paid right I decided to give this place a second chance because I live 1 mile from here but surprise they ripped me off on weight and grade I posted this not to be mean but because I can't stand people who lie and cheat there customers please sale to anybody else Thanks......... I hired a lawyer because of how they treated me when I came back (Morgan and morgan) has already gladly accepted the case they said what they did by confronting me and threatening me and my 16 year old son is completely against the law then I guess they blocked me because I have the paperwork and pictures they said I brought number two copper but this was actually number one Copper from my place of employment that was left over and they had me bring it there and sell it for the company it was all brand new in rolls so some line about it being a misunderstanding or there sorry is not going to work I've already contacted the BBB Morgan & Morgan has already accepted the case and the local law enforcement has been informed I would like $1,000 down right now if they can provide any proof that my copper wasn't brand new when I sold it to them because if they really have videotape they will see it was large rolls then I didn't appreciate being threatened and front of my stepson he was scared to death I should have called the police right then but they didn't actually touch me I think because they know I'm ex-military and I would have tore a mud hole and all of them I am a very easy going guy even my bad review was nice so then I just can't stand people who are just mean angry and nasty all the time I don't know why they want to be that way but I will never go there again I have at least six friends that will never go there again and they're letting all their friends know not to go there again but I will tell you there is a new scrap yard half a mile up the road on hanging moss they have had the best service and prices I have ever had and I would recommend anyone especially with copper to go there one more thing they tried to pay me $31 and some change for almost 2,000 pounds of steel and copper so just to test the water I went to the shop on hanging moss and received $48 and I only had almost 800 pounds and only 3 pounds of copper so you can kind of figure the math yourself I hate to give a place a bad review but I'm going to try my best to have this place shut down and my lawyer is already in the process of filing a lawsuit thank you

I cleaned all my aluminum. They paid me 2lbs clean aluminum and 50 pounds dirty. Very unprofessional and and sneaky. Don't take your recycables there ! Will not get what you deserve !

Always lower prices than gle or tmr very unprofessional and a rip off can get 10cent more a pound or more for aluminum at other yards. Scale never seems to weight right either

I brought#1 copper to sale the guy even told me what he would pay me per pound before I decided to sale it to THEN When I finally got paid they shorted me $67 when I got mad they acted like they didn't speak English and since they wanted to rip me off I'm reporting them to the BBB try a different shop before going here they do rip people off Thanks

One of the more fair junkyards. Usually pay dependent on the market. Yet, they usually pay better than competitors. Fast and rasy process. Thry remove the material. Then, weigh thr materials. Then, you give them your identification and they give you cash. Easy and straightforward process.

I like this place. This is the only place I come to scrap. Its quick, easy, and fair. Just back up to the scales on the left, unload, collect your money. Easy. If you have a huge load go park on the right and someone will bring a container for you to fill up.

WARNING!!! THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!! Like other customer reviews they took my steel, iron, and aluminum and calculated it as tin, shreddable. And like the other customers stated, by the time the error was pointed out the hopper had been dumped. Do business with this company at your own peril. WARNING!!! Went to e&h got $17 for a washer van seat and some other scrap but at this place I always get ripped off. The lesbian girl tammi if she doesnt like you she cheats you on the weight. Said I just wouldn't come when she was working and she proceeded to cuss me out right in front of my 2 yr old daughter. Called me a dope head and every name in the book then tried to get me to "take it to the road" to fight her. I don't fight women even if they don't think they're women. Men don't hit girls and it was just the most unprofessional experience ever.

First of all, this place has no signage or a greeter to let you know where to go be it a line or a place to park. I guess they expect the customer to figure it all out on their own. After you park and hail someone to bring you a small dumpster, they move the container to be weighed outside the house they use as their work area. After waiting for them to fiddle with the computer, talk to other customers who seem to think they deserve all the attention, the person operating the computer prints a sheet of paper and they hand it to you simultaneously directing you to this window. An elderly lady takes your paper and she disappears for several long minutes. When she fiiiiinally returns. She shoves a document thru the window hole and right after you sign it, she hands you the money and then leaves before you can ask a question or remark. These people are not sociable, helpful or seem to really give a damn about the customers. None of them act like professionals. I have experienced better service, better treatment, and superior attitudes from high school age employees. The older woman needs to behave appropriately or they need to replace her with somebody who is more patient and willing to give the customer a chance to ask questions or look over the printed amount of metal and weight and make sure that they are receiving the right amount of payment. And I don't really trust these people as I was getting paid more from the other place on Colonial across from Home Depot, for the same amount of material.

They weighed over 1000 pounds of steel but the clerk listed it as shreddable tin. When the error was pointed out I was told that it was input as steel. The receipt clearly shows otherwise. But they had already dumped the container and refused to correct. This place is a rip off

Wanted to give me five bucks for my cat that is STEAL and PLATMIUM Service was horrible to the point that I wanted to throw the cat through their window. The lady using the weight scale was the only decent person

Artists, Inventors, tinkerers who enjoy making new things from a plethora of materials will love this place. They have something for everyone. Plan to be there two hours if you really like creating something cool from nothing special.
