Today’s experience has been the worst. I’ve been coming to this place for years. The workers are nice. However, the lady today shows no respect and professionalism. Looking at her phone, ignoring you are waiting, Not even greeting. No education whatsoever. Is this what my taxes are paying for? She needs to be fired.
Couldn't find the place. It says it's open, but there's only a gate with construction or something going on. No one was there to help me recycle. There were no signs or open buildings
Miami Dade website clearly states that you can dump 3 cubic yards of demolition/construction debris. No more than 6 green trash bins. However if they don't feel like letting you dump they will reject you and laugh about it.
The rudest employees I have ever encountered in my entire life. They make the citizens that use this facility feel like absolute garbage. Honesty, a nightmare every time I have throw something away.
I have gone here a few times, So thankful to have this facility available! Organized and friendly. Thus is not for excessive loads. If you bring a big trailer, they reroute you to a landfill.
Like every government services, this one is a chaos. There is always long waiting lines because they don't have empty truck there on time. Very bad services overpaid by property owners tax payers money and used by everyone in the city, is bad run I guess by unqualified people because the money is there,This only can happen at a government enterprise where they deal with someone else money. They make taxpayers waste valuable time in lines.
This is one of the best Trash and Recycling centers. Even when you think there is a long line. It always moves quick due to the amount of drop off lanes.
Guy dumping in front of me has a buildings worth of bulk waste in his truck and is allowed to dump no problem. I drive up with a few bags in my truck and the guy scanning my license scrutinizes me and asks if I'm a contractor. He decides in his infinite wisdom that I am and eventhough the scanner confirms that I can, the guy doesn't let me dump. They developed the scanning system so that it makes it easy to tell who can and who can't dump. That place is a racket. Can't wait until they make it AI like the tolls and ATM machines. Just drive up and insert your license. No biast human interaction. They will all be out of a job....
3rd time I've come here and told it'll be 45 minutes wait time. Don't know why. But, if your site says open and your there 8 a.m. in the morning , SHOULD YOU NOT BE READY,??.

The guy working there after looking at the driver license said that because the address belongs to an apartment and not a house we were not allowed to dump a few pieces of wood from an old furniture. My husband had to go all the way to a landfill far from we we are and pay for it.
This facility is an extremely convenient way to dispose of bulky waste. They won't accept certain types of waste, but everything else is easily disposed of with minimal hassle.
This place makes the dumping process really easy. All you need to do is to take your DL(ID), scan it with the guys and they'll tell you the space for you to park so you can start throwing out the boxes or useless things you don't need anymore. Took me 2-3 hours to load my car with what I had to throw away and took 3 mins to get rid of them there.
Also if you have mattress or white trash remember to throw it in the middle of the ramp before the ID scan part.
It's hard to rate a trash and recycling center so I'll focus on the staff. The guy checking IDs st the beginning of the line was professional and polite, the guy doing the sweeping was doing a good job and he took the time to greet me. Not a big deal to some people, but to me that's solid.
Sometimes the service is great and flows naturally. I've had the unfortunate circumstance of being denied permission to dump furniture under the pretense that the dump was full only to see 10 other visitors dump into the area we were supposed to dump in.
Otherwise a good place, if not busy on the weekends.
Well organized and easy to use. Wait times vary from no wait to about 45 minutes. It took me about 30 minutes to recycle a dead microwave and almost a years worth of broken down delivery boxes.
I move to this place 2 weeks ago and I am very happy with the people that work there that special Brenda Warren .I asked her the name because she is so kind she always smiles eventhough she works Saturdays and sundays .sorry for my English...
Did not accept my out of state ID even though I'm a resident of Miami. Told me to go to a landfill where I was sitting with county trash trucks for 2 hours. Not only that I played 65$ and had to drive up the mountain of garbage after having my car weighed before and then after. Popped a tire on the way up just to throw out two bags of trash.THANKS!
Easy in, easy out. Simply present your Florida Driver License for a quick scan (to confirm you are a Miami-Dade resident), and then you are directed to one of 15 or so lanes.
A dump is a dump but the folks here are friendly and helpful. Be easy on them, how fun can it be to work at the dump? Clean and useful, hardly any lines. Choose your time to go wisely.
