Spent a few hours one afternoon just hanging out for drinks and lunch… SERVICE was incredible. Lorin was our waitress and she was very attentive and punctual. Beautiful vibe and atmosphere looking over the water and watching the boats go by

I don’t know who trained the bartender Bekka but she was the most experienced bartender I think I have had. I was even testing her to see if she was a real mixologist. And come to find out she is the real deal. I don’t know how much she makes but it’s not enough. She’s my only bartender there from now on.

The bartender bakka made the best mojito I have ever had. And the service was A++ I will return again.

Lauren at the restraunt was great! The food was excellent. I had a cuban sandwich.

Came for dinner, and it was great! Lauren was awesome! Happy hour…even on Sunday (!) was fantastic! Our drinks were never empty, the fried oysters were delectable; we also had the mahi bites & the cheesy risotto balls from the happy hour appetizer menu, and cleaned out plates. Great experience! Thanks again, Lauren!!!!

Nice place! We tried it after hearing about it on the radio. The food was delicious and well priced. Staff was helpful and nice. We'll visit the rest of the resort as soon as we get the chance. It looks like fun.

A sudden downhill shift has been made in what was my favorite local tiki bar . It was the great music that I'd crave and didn't mind their pricey bottled domestic beer. I figured it was worth it to hear great music . The food has always been decent enough.( Been going there for over 30 years) But that too has plummeted in quality and taste while rising in price. Lately there is no music or a solo artist which is fine, but I have up and left after one beer recently , because of horrible musicians.I can read Budget Cut all over the roster. Guess Two G's will get my money from now on . They know how to pick great bands and seem to appreciate the locals who keep them afloat in the off season.

Amazing dinner. Had it two nights in a row. It was that good. Stuffed grouper with crab meat. Unbelievable. And the clam appetizer was fantastic also. Highly recommend.

Review: Avoid Pirates Cove I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, the only "treasures" I found at Pirates Cove were hazards and poor upkeep. * The Pest Problem: The highlight of the trip (and not in a good way) was spotting a massive cockroach scuttling across the floor not even two hours into our stay. If you’re seeing them out in the open during the day, I can only imagine what’s going on behind the scenes. * Maintenance Issues: The bathrooms were in a state of total neglect. There was visible rust on the fixtures and stalls, giving the whole place a grimy, "abandoned shipwreck" feel that I’m pretty sure wasn't intentional theming. Until they invest in a deep clean, a plumber, and an exterminator, I’d suggest sailing right past this spot. There are much cleaner ways to spend your time and money.

Great restaurant and marina. I did not stay in the rooms but the pool and facilities are very nice. We live here it a great place.

Overpriced, tired, and a bit depressing. It felt like visiting that little old lady’s house where everything is 50 years old but well taken care of and clean—yet everything is a little worn out. The door to the patio has a big round window that looks straight onto the neighbor’s balcony from the bed ?‍♂️. No shade or cover. The privacy lock didn’t work. No complimentary water or coffee in the room. I stayed here one night and moved across The Pocket to another hotel that was the same price. In stark contrast, it was beautifully modern, had a coffee maker with plenty of K-Cups, and included water in the room. If this place were priced fairly, it would have gotten more stars for location and cleanliness..

The room was fine other than no bath lotion and no coffee maker provided. However, the hotel staff has to improve their customer care. I was riding my knee scooter due to recent surgery and when we checked in, we were given a room farthest away on our floor. Also, my wife was made to carry a 48 quart cooler when the desk clerk could have suggested using a cart that was not visible to her. Lastly, there were several doorways that had high heights to maneuver over on my scooter.

We were extremely happy with all the employees/staff. Very helpful at every turn, from the Office to the Marina. We had boat issues & they were honest, knowledgeable on every aspect of the parts & labor!

Went out on the safari charter boat to do some fishing. This was my 1st time on a fishing charter. It was a great time and even caught some good fish. I would definitely this again.

Superior pirate place. Super delicious conch fritters. The boat dock is just south, you will see the many smaller boats etc...

Absolutely love this resort. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very clean and have a nautical vibe. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I can't wait to visit here again. It's also a great place to host an event!

My husband and I go here often for lunch/Dinner. It’s always great food. We had Sean as our server yesterday (11/14/25) he was so much fun! Very enjoyable to have him as our server!! I guess he’s only been there 2 weeks but he was top notch! Keep him around ?

This is a beautiful resort at the marina. Atmosphere is perfect! The tiki bar is fun and laided back. Wonderful experience. April is a sweetheart ?

We stayed at the Pirates Cove October 30 and 31st for a wedding in the area. This resort is a wonderful old school Florida resort perfect location, great facilities restaurant ,pool ,rooms everything very well kept. From the time we checked in Jennifer and the whole staff in the lobby We’re very welcoming and friendly.Every employer should be lucky to have people like them representing their business! We will definitely return for another stay

We stayed at the resort last weekend and can't say enough wonderful things about the property. It started with our check-in with Jennifer, and you could tell she really loves her job and that reflected in her welcoming attitude and professionalism, she was great! We'd highly recommend this property. The resort has an old school Florida vibe and is very well maintained. The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to our next stay.

This is a very nice resort located on the Manatee pocket, separated from the open ocean by the intercoastal waterway. The views are fantastic and there is much to do, all within walking distance. Unlike other reviews, I thought that the beds were quite comfortable, although they are firm. The waterfront rooms have a private patio overlooking the marina and the rooms are quite secluded, clean, and comfortable. Although it can be pretty noisy from the adjoining tiki bar music, I found that all I needed to do is put my a/c fan on continuous and play "zone" music from my phone, and I couldn't hear any of the outside noise. The only annoyance I experienced was on checkin when the clerk wouldn't let me checkin without me providing my license plate number in advance. In my hundreds of thousands miles of travel, I've never had a clerk refuse to check me in because I couldn't remember my license plate number. So, I had to step out of line, retrieve my license plate number, and get back in line to complete my checkin. In actuality, my license plate was irrelevant because he gave me reservation tag to put on my dash. Nevertheless, he refused to let me finish my checkin until I provided my number. It was a small annoyance, but set the mood at the moment.

My husband and I went to Pirates Cove today and what a wonderful experience we had ! The waitress was Stephanie and she was incredibly accommodating and made wonderful suggestions to us as to appetizers and special drinks and was one of the best waitresses I’ve come across . She was gracious and very kind and I just wanted to say I’m so grateful we can by and had Stephanie as our waitress!! She would bring ice before I even asked for it for my drink to stay chilled . So happy we visited food and drinks fabulous and the music was fun to listen to as well! Thank you Stephanie for the best experience!!

We ordered the shrimp po boy sandwich. It was delicious. Our waitress Mary was very nice and efficient. Wine prices are very reasonable. We didn't sit outside bc it was a very hot day. The only thing I didn't like was the window shutters. I felt closed in. Met the owner, a very nice lady.
