Unfair treatment, poor training, and misleading pay!
I worked for this tow truck company and had a very disappointing experience. When I was hired, I was told I’d have every other weekend off, but that wasn’t the case. The seasoned staff (mostly family) always got the weekends off instead. I was on call from 8 PM to 11 PM, then again from 3 AM to 7 AM, and still expected to report for my regular shift at 9 AM.
The job was commission-based, but the pay didn’t make sense for the amount of time and effort I put in. One day I drove from Melbourne to Tampa and only made around $200 after working 6 days straight! On top of that, there was little to no proper training, which made the job even more stressful and unsafe at times.
What made it even worse was the lack of trust — not only do they track the trucks with GPS, (which is understandable) but employees are also required to be on their Life360 app, which felt invasive and unnecessary.
It felt like new employees were taken advantage of, while family and long-term staff got better treatment and schedules. If you’re thinking about working here, make sure to ask for everything in writing — your pay structure, schedule, and proper training — before you start.

I just unexpectedly had to get my car towed when it wouldn't start. I was at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne but live in Rockledge. Called AAA and got Tyler. He was so nice. I had him tow my car to my mechanics at Schlenker Autos in Rockledge. He let me ride with him so my husband could pick me up from there. If I ever need towed again from Melbourne, I will definitely prefer using him. Very professional and I really love locally owned and operated companies. You get much better service in my book. The young man that came and helped me his name was Tyler. He was very timely he was very courteous and informed me of things I did not know about my van that he said I needed to know. He treated my van as if it was his own. I will definitely use this company again hopefully I'll get Tyler again! There should be more tow truck drivers to inform people about they're automobiles for example I did not know that my van had a neutral Overdrive he was kind enough to show me how to do it and where it was! Not too many people would do that and I've had my share of tow truck drivers. I was very reluctant and made several contacts before settling on G&J for a towing job I needed.
I have a Custom 34 Chevy Street Rod that I needed to move and my trailer was out of service at the time.
I must say……. Jason was unbelievable to work with. He treated the car as if it was his own. Was very precise and cautious in the way he loaded/unloaded the car and how he tied it down to the rig.
If I ever have a towing need again Jason and G&J will be the FIRST call I make….. and I recommend them to all of my friends.

I was stuck 4 hours from home on Easter Sunday. After AAA told me I would have to wait until the next day for a tow, I got a call from Tyler at G & J Towing. He said he would be right over after having dinner with his family, which was extremely kind of him. Tyler made this long tow very enjoyable since I had to ride back too. Along the drive, he told me about his family's towing business and their military careers. Getting to talk and learn about Tyler and his family made this 4 hour drive feel more like an hour. I never thought I'd enjoy getting my car towed :) We need more people like Tyler these days! I very highly recommend G & J Towing. They are hard working people that really care about satisfying their customers.

I have never had a better experience in all my years. The driver/operator Tyler called me as soon as I hung up with AAA and he was very polite letting me know when he would be there. He arrived 15 minutes later. He checked my gear shift (car wouldn’t go into gear or move) and confirmed it was inoperable. The car wouldn’t go into neutral so he let me know what he needed to do to put the car on the flatbed. He was incredibly kind and professional. Then when ready drove to the mechanic’s shop. He drove carefully and took great care to park it in a good spot at the shop. I cannot express how comfortable he made me and the level of professionalism and kindness. Thank you Tyler!!
Tyler and Daniel arrived quickly and got straight to work. My mustang is lower than usual but they were flexible, worked together and did what was necessary to get my car unto the flatbed without damage. Great experience and would use this towing service again.
After waiting for AAA for over 3-4 hours for roadside assistance, and a no-show. G&J Towing was a lifesaver! Daniel was so kind, professional, polite, calm, and super helpful. Loaded up my car and dropped it off at the KIA dealership to replace the battery. He even let the service department know, I was coming in. This company is amazing! They respond quickly and are very punctual right on time. They also take great care of your vehicle, mine happened to be a 1975 Corvette and the technician Daniel went through great lengths to make sure it was loaded carefully, properly, and securely. I can't recommend them highly enough!
Overall, it was a great experience. The gentlemen was professional about how he strapped up my car. Made sure it was secure before we started driving up there. He also made sure to offload my car safely and put it in a secure place where it was not going to get hit in the parking lot. Also, by policy, I learned that they aren't allowed to have people in the car, like getting a ride up, but it's based on the tow truck driver. And he was kind enough to allow me to drive up with him. So thank you for the excellent service.
