⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service – Above and Beyond!
Living in the Miami area, I’ve had my fair share of terrible experiences with towing companies, so this encounter was a truly refreshing surprise and gave me a new outlook on what genuine service looks like.
We were in town for Daytona’s Biketoberfest 2025 when, unfortunately, the couple we were traveling with were involved in a serious motorcycle accident and transported to the nearest trauma center. Doug’s Towing, located at 435 S Range Rd, Cocoa, FL, was the company that towed their bike from the scene.
Because my name wasn’t on the title or registration, retrieving the motorcycle was a bit tricky, but the staff were extremely accommodating and patient. We managed to get the notarized release just before closing time on Friday—saving us from waiting until Monday and paying extra fees.
From the moment I stepped into the office, I could tell this was a different kind of towing company. The front desk staff were kind and professional, and one of the tow truck drivers took the time to ask about my friends’ condition and offered to help me get the bike started. As it turned out, that driver was actually the owner, Mr. Antron Cotman.
The bike wouldn’t start due to Harley-Davidson’s tilt-sensor safety system and a drained battery from the hazard lights running since the accident. Mr. Cotman and his team spent nearly two hours helping me troubleshoot, charge the battery, and even calling local dealers until we finally got it running.
This level of care and dedication goes far beyond normal customer service. The entire team—several drivers who had already finished their shifts—stayed to help and made sure we were taken care of. As a retired firefighter, I’ve seen a lot of people in tough situations, and I can confidently say that the compassion, professionalism, and genuine humanity shown by Doug’s Towing were exceptional.
My wife, my injured friends, and I are deeply grateful for their help.

Very incompetently ran. The front desk is SLOW. They lost my keys and didn’t have my car in the right location. I sat there for an hour until gramps realized it was somewhere else. I ubered to the other place and they let me leave with my car. I get a notice they put a lien on it and my car is going to be auctioned off! They aren’t open on the weekends so if you get towed on a Friday you will owe an additional 3 days since they charge for Monday as well. They don’t have online payment methods, and only accept cash or Zelle. They also messed up my bill and said my car was there longer than it was! Also the fees keep accruing the longer they don’t receive payment. I called them multiple times to pay which they said they would call back and they didn’t. When they finally answered my call a couple days later it was like another 20 bucks. Crooks!
If your card is towed, pray that you don't end up in this place, they ask for documents that I've never seen before and no other yard, and look, I work in a car company, that is, I'm always doing this! But it took them 3 hours to deliver the car to me! The person at the reception is very slow, everything they were going to do took forever! I've never seen such a disorganized yard, horrible.
I just got back from there. After reading the reviews ,I was weary about the transition. The employees were extremely polite. Let me get my things, no charge,as some stated. I filled out the paperwork for the insurance and got my stuff. It was very easy. I think the other people are telling the whole truth or just lying. But they don't accept credit cards for impounds. Exact change only.
**Review for Doug's Towing:**
I am writing this review with a heavy heart after my deeply frustrating experience with Doug's Towing. My life has taken a significant downturn due to circumstances beyond my control, and the way I was treated by this company only added to my distress.
Recently, my car was stolen, which was a devastating blow for me. As someone who is already facing financial hardship, losing my vehicle meant losing my job as well. I rely on my car not just for transportation, but also to support my family. The inability to get to work has put an immense strain on our lives, and I feel helpless without my vehicle.
When I reached out to Doug's Towing to recover my car, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of empathy. Despite explaining my situation and begging for assistance, they refused to work with me in any way. It felt as though my struggles didn't matter to them at all.
To add to my frustration, the previous owner of the car saw it wrecked and informed the Rockledge police that Doug's Towing should deliver the vehicle back to my home. Instead, they impounded my car and seemed completely unaware of its whereabouts when I inquired. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable, especially during such a challenging time in my life.
The emotional toll this has taken on me and my family cannot be overstated. We are left without a vehicle, which affects our daily lives and adds to our stress and anxiety. I would have expected at least some compassion from a service that is supposed to help in difficult situations, but instead, I felt disregarded.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Doug's Towing based on my experience. Their lack of empathy and professionalism during a time when I needed support the most has left me feeling powerless and frustrated. I hope that they can reflect on their customer service and consider the impact they have on people's lives.
Dougs towing left a 15 foot grease oil and brake fluid spill in the Adventure Cycles parking lot and refuse to clean it up. They would never let me speak to the owner, and tell me to contact the insurance company. this is a liability to me and my customers test riding bicycles. It is very dangerous. We try to contribute to the community and keep a clean property. This is unacceptable and sad for a company to respond with no response except "we do not have pressure washers ". Extremely unorganized. My car was towed after an accident. I went to retrieve my belongings and was told I could not get them. I had to wait 2 days to get MY belongings out of MY car. I had all of the documentation needed to prove it was my vehicle but was told no I could not get my personal belongings. There were three people working and I guess they just didn't have time for me.
When I finally was able to retrieve my belongings they could not find my car on the lot. 35 minutes later the car was finally found but they did not have the key that was left with the vehicle / sheriff's officer. I was told no key was left and yet after further investigation they found the key marked with the wrong coordinating number to my vehicle. I needed the key to retrieve my things out of the trunk. Something that should have taken 15 minutes to get done went well into an hour plus. Ridiculous!
My truck was towed here after an accident. I was told by officials at the accident that I could call the company's number and access my truck to collect my belongings at any time. The online hours say 24 hours a day. I went at 5:15pm after I got off work to collect my things so my truck could be taken to a salvage yard after a total loss from insurance. The lady at the door told me that I can only access my vehicle between 8am and 5pm. Otherwise I would need to pay a $54 fee to be "escorted" to my vehicle. No one ever made mention of a fee to access my "no hold" storage. Crooks! They're trying to get more money out of consumers and insurance companies by delaying the clearing process.
They tried to put a lien on my vehicle to sell it only 3 days after it was towed to their facility due to an accident. I came into their office just 2 days after they decided to sell my vehicle and the lady who signed the Notice of Lien herself made no mention of my car going up for sale. Luckily the state informed me before it was too late. I am also injured due to the accident and they wouldn’t let anyone help me retrieve my items from the vehicle either. Also wouldn’t allow for any payments except cash or money order because they know what they are doing is wrong. No reputable or honest business would disallow so many legitimate forms of payment. They wanted to make a quick buck on a vehicle they had absolutely no right to sell and took advantage of my car accident and situation.
This company would not accept a credit card or check as payment so I could have the vehicle released and towed to a repair shop. This resulted in a 4 hour round trip drive just to hand them cash. This policy does not have the customer's best interest in mind.
I had to get my car towed the other day. I called Doug's Towing. The driver got to me within 30 minutes. The driver confirmed that the shifter cable had broken. He towed me to Paradise Ford. He was very nice and was a lifesaver. If I ever need a tow again, I know who I'll call. I recommend Doug's Towing.
Really disappointed in the communication and ethic of this company. Would definitely check other companies before using this group. They failed to show to a job and failed to call to to tell they couldn't show after accepting the job. After waiting for hours I reached out to them
Been wairing for 3 hours, finally called them, and they said they called me 30 min ago but i didnt answer. Yet all my records show that i was NOT called by them. So here i sit.
After another hour of waiting i gave up. Lowest price, longest wait
Called these folks to have a vehicle towed that I purchased as the gentleman I purchased the truck from said they were the folks who towed it to him and the phone dispatcher said sorry sir we don't pick up vehicles on someone's lawn.JOKERS!!!!!
Thank you very much for alleviating my anxiety after I sat on the busy highway waiting for my "Roadside Assistance" providers to (not) take care of me for 4 + hours. Doug's Towing company's staff was very compassionate and helpful and on their way to me in a FLASH after I called them pleading for help. I can't say enough good things about the dispatcher (Cindy/Sandy) and Andre the tow driver. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Worth every penny - reasonable tow from Titusville to Downtown Orlando. Woman answers the phone in a flat voice after we talk for only 1 minute and 20 seconds won’t give me a direct number of how much my tow will cost then while I’m trying to find the exact address she hangs up I call back and ask if she hung up she said she did not then as I’m about to give her the address she hears my boyfriend swear in the background then hangs up on me again... mind you I’m on the side of the road and this woman’s sitting in the ac. DO NOT!!! use this towing company go to a different one greeting and social skills are horrible and they’re customer service is even worse!
The service was excellent. I call for a tow they said it would be an hour and with a pleasant surprise they where able to reach me and have me on my way within 40 minutes
These people are crooks. They illegally towed my car w my landlord without the key, then I went there to get paperwork in why they towed my car from my front yard, and they refused to give me anything in writing. I asked if they can give me that in writing and still refused.. Oh yes and they were about to auction off my car in two days... Crooks
Truck broke down about 5 miles away from dougs and I was told they would be out shortly. I called 2 hours later after I had not heard or seen them, they said the wrecker just left to head my way. Dougs is about 10 minutes from my location but it somehow it took another hour for them to get to me. Don't use this company for emergency roadside assistance unless you enjoy waiting on the side of the road for hours on end.
My teenager broke down near Patrick Air Force Base. I was working in Orlando and couldn't get to her. I had her call the tow company. The driver was less than savory and cursed like a sailor and demonstrated very unprofessional behavior. They refused to take my credit card because it didn't match her id. She is 16. What 16 year has a credit card like that? The also said it would 7% cheaper to use cash. What a rip off. Will never use them again. I also work at a hotel in Cocoa Beach and will not be using them again for services there either.
I have 2 lowered cars, and every time I needed a tow they would do an outstanding job - I would have to sign a damage waiver but they are so careful with the tow, that it went off without a hitch (lol). The other companies in the area that came out all refused unless I paid a $45.00 fee for using special equipment!!! Knight towing and Lathem - too scared to do it unless you pay even if you are an Allstate or AAA member. Doug's came thru every time.
9.8 miles away FROM DOUGS TOWING. My Grandmother broke down and called AAA service. Doug's receptionists called to tell us that they will be 30-45 minutes. 1 hr and 10 minutes later the same girl calls back and says they couldn't find us as AAA gave wrong address. I called Triple A and they confirmed correct address but said that Doug's refused to come out because we are outside their area. I called Dougs to ask them to help and same woman told me that they went past us twice and we weren't there. Don't INSULT me with lies. An apology would have been enough. Integrity is most important. DONT WAIT FOR DISHONEST HELP!!!!!!!!! Imperial Towing saved the day
