I have been using Carey’s Auto repair shop for approximately 10 years now and have had nothing but an excellent experience every time. In fact, every time I take my BMW 4 series, or Mini Cooper in for service, I feel the work is performed in a very professional, expedient, and respectful manner. I am informed of any recommendations the technicians may have for items that may need addressing in the future without being pushy or aggressive; merely informative only, which I appreciate. As far as pricing goes, I feel as though I am getting dealer level service at an excellent price (20 to 50 percent less than dealer would charge, depending on the specific service performed). But most importantly, this is a family run business, and the friendly service and competitive prices reflect that in an extremely positive way for the customer. Thanks Carey’s!!
Awesome experience with Carey. My land rover was getting the 3 amigos, and I didn't feel comfortable driving it back to Pennsylvania. I called a couple shots, Carey was the only place that could get me in within a week. They did a great job of getting me all fixed up. They were easy to work with, and reasonably priced, for the area. I don't have any complaints.
Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff for 2015 BMW 4 series alert "drivertrain malfunction*. Will return to these guys for any future car maintenance or problems.
Price seemed slightly high but unsure of market standards. Replaced what needed to be fixed and nothing more to get me started up and driving away. Did recommend some extra work I will be going back for, and even fixed my door which was falling off altho they weren’t responsible.
This family run business reminds me of the old days - when you could rely on honesty, integrity and value. I have been taking my 3 series there for almost three years and have always been completely satisfied with the service. Every time I get my car back - it runs like new! Archie and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are wonderful about helping you prioritize maintenance/repairs so you can address urgent issues now and plan for future costs. Highly recommend this auto repair business.
Archie and his team helped me out big time with a motor mount issue caused by the previous owner/shop. Motor mount bolts were completely stripped out. Archie and his team of all stars were more than willing to take on the job and perform it an extremely fast and at a very fair price for the amount of work require. They gained a customer for life and I highly recommend them.
My car broke down on the way to Ocean City and had my car towed to Carey’s. The repair was completed and reasonably priced. Javier kept me up to date and found the needed parts. Being that I was four hours from home, you never know what you are gonna get. I would happily recommend Carey’s to anyone.

EXCELLENT service on my Jaguar F-Pace... I have now made them "My Mechanic" <3 Only place I will take my beauty on the Eastern Shore! Awesome professionals that are "honest" unlike the last place in Maryland I went to. They provide service that goes above and beyond. Very, very respectful, kind and friendly staff. What a rare gem in 2024 to find traditional, solid, and **fair priced** service. I am scheduling my maintenance interval with them this week. Thank you Carey's! <3
Our car broke down and we chose to get towed to Carey’s thank God we did. They were able to help us out as quickly as possible and get us back on the road to Florida.
We bought a used minivan from here over two years ago and had no issues so far. The owner was very transparent with the condition of the car and did a very thorough job with in-house inspection and repairs before we were handed the vehicle. I would buy another vehicle from here again without hesitation. I currently use them for my oil changes and I am very satisfied. Great small business that cares about their reputation in the community.
My first visit to Carey's was an experience beyond words. The customer service and excellent care for my car were above and beyond expectations. I am so grateful to have found such an honest and conscientious repair shop.
Originally, I came in looking to book an appointment for an oil change, and left having been able to get my car serviced the same day. Needless to say, I am one happy customer. And have been now for a little over a year. Carey’s is a great automotive shop and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to service their vehicle(s). The gentleman behind the counter is always polite and professional, and the crew in the shop always deliver outstanding work: never have I had to bring my car back for the same issue.
My 2013 Volvo XC60 112K miles needed some major repairs - a Haldex unit replacement, sensor replacements, and standard scheduled Volvo maintenance. The official Volvo center in Wilmington (1h+ away) cited me an exorbitant amount JUST for the AWD service. Carey's is only 15 minutes from me. The work is exceptional, and the pricing to do ALL of the above services was exponentially less. You have to be extremely patient with scheduling and turn-around for repairs as they are extremely busy. I HIGHLY recommend them.
Recommendation to Careys: set up an email address, basic website, or FB page for correspondence. (I would call for updates as my car was in service for a few weeks.) Plus, a FB page at a minimum would be good for easy advertising. I only discovered Carey's by recommendation through a "Who would you recommend in Sussex County" FB page.
I have a 2008 Bmw 128i that I took to them at first I thought wow these guys are a little pricey But I herd good things from close friends that this was a good place to take my car in lower De . All I can say is I am glad I listened to friends . Everyone at Careys was friendly understanding and easy to work with and they did a great job on my car and my car was no small job they use all OEM parts showed me the old parts when the job was done and explained everything they did and they also guarantee there work . they def have a new customer . Thank you guys keep up the great customer service

Very customer service driven! Archie (owner) has created a culture with his team of quality and making sure you are happy. I had a complex job for my 2009 infinity which would require special attention. I searched many other places in the area and surrounding counties and Carey's came highly recommended - they exceeded my expectations. Their professionalism and complete understanding of the needs of what needs to get done at a reasonable price comes makes me feel he is the best in the area for high performance import work. I am a customer for life!

We are in the process of trying to buy a car. They have been super helpful by overlooking the cars we consider and giving us an overview of the car, and at a very reasonable price! They are great at giving unbiased opinions and it is evident that safety is their number one concern!
I have a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle that I got in 2014 & I have taken my beetle to Carey's since I've gotten it. I love Carey's! The people are great that work there & when I get work done on my car the work always holds up. It has been 3 years I haven't had anything fixed twice. Everything has been great. I won't take my business anywhere else.
Everything is always perfect. They always take care of me. I've been going there for about 3 years and I wouldn't take my car or any other car I owned any place but there. I can't say one negative thing about them everyone there has been so caring and they always see things as if it were them going through the problem. Simply perfect!
When 1st State Chevrolet towed our 2006 Infiniti M35X without dollies they completely trashed the transfer case. Archie at Carey's diagnosed it quickly and was able to get the correct part in and get it repaired fast. This is a great shop, they treated us like we were family and got our car back on the road fast. Highly recommend using Carey's for any work. They genuinely care about their customers.
