Had a great experience fast inspection very polite and knowledgeable employees. Normally you hear horror stories about the DMV but the Georgetown DMV is an exception to that rule

Went yesterday to transfer a title and vehicle inspection. Personnel inspecting vehicle were very professional and very quick at their job. Gentlemen explained everything in detail and properly handled paperwork. Once inside, the wait was minimal, and the person at the window was fantastic. Can’t believe the short time this took to get stuff complete!

The wait was shorter than expected; and my Vehicle Division Rep at the window was pleasant and easy to speak with. It was a nice change for sure. On a separate note: The down side is that we bought our 2003 SUV for only $1800 but they said the blue book value said it was worth almost 5K!!! So that fee was added to my bill and thank God I had just enough in my account to cover it. But OUCH! What kind of bull crap is that?? It's another scam to make more money for the state.

I went there this morning and I was done within an hour. I went to transfer my drivers license from MD to DE. I also took my car through inspection and registered and titled my car. This experience was totally different from the MD MVA’s I am used to. I would have been there all day. Keep up the great customer service!!!

Worste place I’ve ever been too. What a hell house. Waited an hour and my number finally got called and walked up to boothe 21 yesterday afternoon and then she went to the next number. I told her you just called my number and then went to the next number really quick. She said there was nothing she could do and to sit down and wait… so I did and waited there fuming and then some younger woman that works there comes up and assist me and I finally make it to a booth and made a formal complaint against her. The woman hears that I’m about to make a complaint against her and gets angry and told me she called my number 3 times (lies) and I never showed up.. I said she was a liar and that she was on live video. I have witnesses there too that saw everything.. And none of my issues got resolved regarding vehicle and license. DMV is a joke

Inspection was fast and inspector very friendly. Went straight thru then decided to use the kiosk inside to complete the registration renewal and that was quick. The. Total time was less than 30 min, very impressive!

Department of Motor Vehicles typically represent the worst in customer service but after my ~10th visit to Georgetown's DMV, I've had nothing but good experiences. Today on Monday morning, nearly all the inspection lanes were open and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The drive thru checkout, normally my choice for paying and getting my new registration, had a line, so went inside and the helpful greeter sent me over to these electronic kiosks - similar to what's at the airport check-in areas, that had no wait. All I had to do was scan my existing registration, enter mileage, confirm address and other info, pay by credit card and it printed both my new registration and expiration sticker. 5 minutes and I'm not exactly fast when navigating a new application. Other than the dodgy clientele zooming through the parking lot, it's a much better experience than 10-20 years ago.

I had to re-register I was the second car in line and the inspection lane. Mines are moving very fast inside. I got my number within 15 minutes. I was called my experience at GEORGETOWN. Dmv was great. No complaints.

Couldn't have been smoother... I have relocated here from another state and this is my 2nd time having to go here... was even better than the first. I guess I get lucky and get the nice folk cause looking at some other reviews I don't get those vibes. But alas I'm good with it. 100 times better than where im from.

Alisha was curt and rude to us for our transfer of our title from PA to DE. She said we didn't have a title on file for my car, my wife told her that she was there a few weeks ago and physically saw it, but I wasn't there with her at the time. Alisha gave attitude saying she didn't have it, my wife insisted it was in the files, so Alisha went to look. She came back with the title in hand, said it wasn't in the tracker. No apologies, nothing, just blaming someone else. She must do this a lot because she's very good at it. She is the absolute worst, she should reconsider working there because she's not very good at her job. Didn't explain the exorbitant fees I had to pay, just grunted, "it's a truck". Wow, what a loser attitude, it's a shame because I've had GREAT experiences with others, but Alisha crapped all over that. Too bad.

Today me and my daughter went there today , we had station number 20. We had this old white lady helping us. We handed her everything,mind you we went there on May 14 to get her permanent. When we handed everything she needed, she told us we need the birth certificate! Mind you we went there on May 14 and we have the birth certificate in the system! I leaned over the counter and the whole time she wasn't looking in the system. So we left and went to station number 24 and this amazing lady helped us,report the old white lady for being racist. I also have proof that she's racist. There was Mexican teens that where trying to get there licenses and she has the audacity to snacth their paper. BUT!! When two white people went in her station she was all nice and goody! HIRE NEW PEOPLE THAT ARENT RACIST IF IT WASN'T FOR THE NICE LADY IN SATION NUMBER 24 MY DAUGHTER WOULDN'T GOTTEN HER LISCENCE!

My visit to Georgetown DE DMV was the best ever in all my 43 years of having a drivers license. I had to change my address for my NY to a DE CDL license & it ALL took less than an hour. I was truly impressed by the cleanliness of this location & the respect, courtesy from its employees. Thank you Georgetown DE DMV !

I normally go to the DMV in Dover but was passing through Georgetown and decided to stop in. I had purchased a new car and needed to get it inspected and registered. The inspection line moved fast, and I was in and out quick. Once I got inside to register the vehicle I noticed the place was packed. Even with a large number of people, the counter workers processed the very one much quicker than other DMV places I have been to. The process with smooth, the place was clean and organized, and the workers were courteous.

Had a great experience at the Georgetown DMV with my 85 year old mother in law. We were assisted by Kathy at the front desk several times, thank you for your patience and for assuring our # was transferred over properly from one area to another. At the ID station Kristel was very helpful and efficient. At Titles we were finally assisted by Loretta who went above and beyond for us. The total time was about 1.5 hours but was extended due to issue with transfer of our ticket # between areas. Thank you DMV for your friendly and valuable assistance!

Well, the line was quick, but the lady that was helping us had an attitude. I wasn’t aware of a policy and she rudely explained it to me. At the end, she threw the paper which nearly fell on the ground and apologized like it wasn’t on purpose. Pretty unprofessional.

Was there in line at 7:55. Doors opened at 8 & I was outside 8:15 for renewing my drivers license. Car was inspected today 1/23/25. Waited in line 10 minutes for inspection. Longest wait was waiting for registration in drive through, approximately 20 minutes. Overall good experience.

It’s a modern system but still relies on the first point of contact to ensure you have all the necessary paperwork. Sat for an hour waiting only to get to the window to find you have to go home is frustrating. Luckily the window clerk was kind and said I could skip the line if I came back the same day. Everyone is friendly here in contrast to the VA DMV where I came from.

Well I arrived at 2:45 and left at 4:30. It took about 3 minutes to get replacement title. It was like standing in line at Disney, only to be let down by the anticlimactic ride. Ugh! NEW - we showed up on Wednesday to get 59 Rambler inspected/plated. It took 3 hours....Ahhhhhh! But, it is done. ALOT of people due

I went to the DMV in Georgetown Thursday 10-31. They weren't crowded like most other times. I figured it wouldn't take long. Boy, was I wrong. It took me 52 minutes to get to the window. That's because they refuse to put enough workers at their stations to service the customers in a reasonable time. The state and federal government are the only businesses that can't give poor service and continue to get paid and promoted. Out of 13 windows on the left side of the building, only 3 were open the whole time I was there. It began to get more crowded but only the 3 windows were open. I wrote a review a year ago. I had forgotten but it seems nothing has changed. The management should be ashamed. There are plenty of them walking back and forth. You have more supervisors then employees. Why couldn't they assist customers for a little bit to improve the service. Of course they're not going to do that. They don't care. That's why this problem has been going on for 20+ years. They just don't care. They have no competition. If they did, they would be closed up. What a dissappointment !!

I just moved to Delaware from up north and had to change everything over, WOW what a nice building and efficient system they have going on here! I was dreading my DMV visit and it turned into an almost pleasant experience. Everyone was helpful but ESPECIALLY Travis!!! This guy went above and beyond to help me and get me all my documents so I didn't have to come back. I'd put him in for employee of the year if I were in charge. Can't say enough positive things about how helpful he was and how the whole system is. Thank you again Travis, I hope your boss reads this and you get a raise, you deserve it.
