These guys are great shop. They helped me get a vehicle to pass emissions. They are fair and honest. Highly recommend.

They’ll get you for $18,000 for a car with dry rotted winter tires in the height of summer, non functioning hazards, a broken BSM system, and a malfunctioning emergency brake. You’ll find yourself $3,000 in the hole 2 months after purchase and they won’t do anything for you

Ronda the manager, and her staff are a bunch of hacks. The technician there put a donot on improperly crossthreading one of the lug nuts and wouldnt take responsibility. I had to pay an extra 100 bucks. I used to bring all my cars here for emissions but will now be taking all our work vehicles, and family personal vehicles elsewhere. And my next call is to the Better Business Bureau to report the shoddy workmanship.....

I've been a loyal customer for almost 10 years so it's about time I give them the 5-star review they deserve. I'm always given an estimate ahead of time and they always wait for my go ahead to do the work. At least twice they told me I could hold off on a repair because the car was still safe to drive. Their shuttle service is free and convenient. I'm always able to get an appointment within a day of calling, and the work is always completed the same day I drop the car off. Rhonda in particular is the best. Long story short, this is a business you can trust, and they do good work.

EXCELLENT BUSINESS!! They helped me with my Cadillac, when the Cadillac dealer could not. Proper diagnosis, proper repair, with an excellent price.. I highly recommend their business to anyone with car issues. Thank you so much Rhonda. 😁

I am so upset right now.. I'm so tired of getting ripped off ... these auto repair shops ought to be a shame of themselves.. I know you ripped me off . you know you ripped me off..$1000?.. and you didn't even fix the problem.. WOW 😳.. that's ok ... because you think you're going to get away with ripping people off... well.. I've been driving my car for a few days now and I would like to apologize for the review I made about getting ripped off from you guys.. even though it was quite expensive for the repairs.. I would like to report that my car is running great... thank you so much and again.. I apologize and appreciate you getting back to me..

We were traveling from NH to Georgia and had mechanical issues in Connecticut and couldn't find anyone to look at our van, we finally found Personal Auto Care after much searching for a garage. They went above and beyond with their service and we were back on our way in a couple of hours. The most impressive part is that the owner called the next day to make sure everything was OK with the van. I can't recommend this shop enough, wish they were in NH :).

I would not recommend this place for automotive repairs charged me $161 for 1 hour work for something that probably took about 15 minutes. Popping the hood on my Toyota after the release cable broke. I talked to the mechanic who said he took a long screwdriver and pushed on the inside of the latch. On top of that I ask them to install a cable that I purchased they said yeah okay no problem. Then they called me and told me the part I provided was incorrect and wouldn't work. Literally a $14 cable. They tried to get me to agree to have them order the part at a cost of $95. Plus labor to install. I told them I did not want them to do that. When I got the car back I looked at the cables and they were exactly the same I installed the cable in under 10 minutes. So they overcharged me for the time they worked on the vehicle. Lied to me about the part I provided so they could sell me an overpriced part that I already provided. I heard good things about this place I'm definitely disappointed

We had our small size suv checked for the strange noise it was making. Very honest shop, they did a full check and recommended we get the back tires changed. We’ve been here before for other repairs and have always been happy with the price, speedy service, and their honesty. Would recommend!

Talked to the woman on the phone and no appointment needed for emissions testing. We came and the car was done very fast. The waiting room was comfortable and everyone was very nice!

I went to these guys in May of 2023 to get my brakes done. Since then I’ve had to return twice because my car would start to shake when I would press the brakes. My car had never done that prior to me getting my brakes done with these guys. Every time I went back they told me I wasn’t the only one coming back and that the parts they had ordered were bad. However, they would fix them every time at no charge. I just returned for the third time and they told me I need new brakes, rotors, AND calipers but claim my calipers are the reason the brakes and rotors went bad and therefore won’t cover the cost. They refuse to accept blame for destroying my calipers with their bad parts despite the track record they’ve had with bad parts. I’ve been very understanding and haven’t been rude or unkind in any way despite the danger they’ve put me and my family in by continuing to put bad parts on my family car which I drive my children around in. I am so sorry that this has happened and am very disappointed. I will not be coming back.

First visit, great customer service, nice seating area while you wait. Seems like a fairly popular place. I came here because I moved to the area and it came highly recommended by people who would know. Hopefully over the years it proves a good choice.

Stopped by for an emissions test and the folks at Personal Auto Care were top notch. After the technicians came back to let me know the vehicle was exempt they explained everything thoroughly and advised on next steps. 10/10!

Great place for a walk in emissions test. Very comfy waiting area where you can watch your car! Rhonda is the sweetest! If you are in middletown and need emissions test. Highly recommend!

Went here to get my emissions done and had a pleasant experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service was fast. I was in and out of this place in about 20 mins.

I was quoted a huge number at another shop for strut replacement. I’m so glad I called here and spoke with Rhonda, who very quickly and graciously provided me with a quote for $500 less AND got me in the very same hour. Truly made my day and made me feel much better (despite still paying a hefty bill) knowing I was working with good people!

I always go to Personal Auto Care Center for all my automobile emissions tests. They perform a much better job than the State of Connecticut ever did when they were running the program. Everyone is professional and courteous. Plus the service is very prompt. I recommend them!

Personal Auto Care is a great place to take my car as a single woman. They are friendly, efficient, with good prices. They have a nice waiting room and bathroom. The parking lot is big and they are local to me. I would highly recommend them

Extremely pleased with the service I received today. Experienced and knowledgeable people. After 4 new tires and an alignment, the car tracks better than when it was new. And the price was spot on. Highly recommended.

Locked myself out of my car. AAA said it would be 45 mins. These guys had my door opened and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes! Driver was courteous, kind and knowledgeable. Would definitely reccomend.

I hit a big chunk of asphalt curb on my way home from work Monday night in the dark and rain. I knew I did some damage to my tire, but It took out both tires on the passenger side! Luckily a co-worker showed up and gave me the name of this place to get my car towed. I called in and was lucky that they had someone available right away to come tow it. (flat bed, all wheel drive) The guy was efficient and very nice. I had him tow it to Town Fair tire and he came in with me to be sure I would be taken care of. He even went back out in the rain to see what brand and size my tires are. All in all a great experience. I would highly recommend them!!

So glad I found this place! One of my belts broke and I was too far from my dealership so I took a chance and went here and they were absolutely great! Very professional service, very friendly and helpful. They fixed me up right away and charged me what they said they would, very fair. They are now my go-to auto repair shop! Got my car towed here after one of my axles broke. They fixed it up quickly, kept in contact with me about the status of my repair, and charged me the same very reasonable price they quoted me over the phone. Excellent service!

So happy I found this place. I got tired of going into Middletown Nissan for oil changes where 'Express' service takes forever and they scare you into additional services that aren't urgent. Personal Auto is affordable and they don't pressure you. After rescheduling an appt a few times I accidently showed up on the wrong day and they happily took me anyway. Highly recommend.

I have had a relationship w personal auto going back over 10 years. They are honest service-oriented people. I keep coming back because I feel like I can trust them. They do the work right and OK the work with you before they do it. If you are looking for a service they don't provide they can frequently refer you to another local business with a similar high quality service ethic. Ronda in particular is extremely knowledgeable and will always give you the straight story...Can't beat it!
