After the snowstorm, my car needed a new battery installation. Mark went above and beyond, reducing the labor fees and even offering a small discount. The entire process took only 45 minutes, which is significantly faster than other places that would have likely taken much more time and money. Mark was also very communicative throughout the entire process. I hope I won’t need to get my car serviced again soon, but I’ll definitely be back when I do!

Go here specifically this location.... But be patient with them... These are hard honest men working here with little staff. They want to make sure your car is safe and done right. We have used them in the past and they have never failed or didnt tell us the truth. Honest work and quality parts. We will be back when it is time.

Excellent service looked at the carchecked out everything on the car also, gave me a printout. What is wrong with my car excellen service and very friendly gentleman. Well return for my next oil change maybe a little more than I would like to pay, but they definitely went through everything.

They were great! I brought my car in and unfortunately they couldn't fix it. They suggested I bring it to the dealer but they tried everything they could. They also didn't charge me for trying to fix it and let me know which dealership they recommended. I thought that was so incredibly nice and unexpected. We will be bringing our cars back here for other services in the future. I would highly recommend, they are friendly, kind and very knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything to you. I was very happy with my first experience here. It definitely won't be my last.

I recently had some issues with my car, including difficult starts and one instance where I needed a AAA jump start. When AAA tested the battery, it passed, so I was unsure what the real problem was. At one point the car also displayed random warning lights such as “service power steering,” and it wouldn’t let me drive. I suspected a battery issue, but since the test showed it was fine, I was confused. I decided to take the car to Monro for a proper check. Initially, they told me everything looked normal, but later they called back and explained that one of the battery cells had failed and that this was causing the intermittent problems. They replaced the battery with a Duracell AGM 48, which cost $275. Since the replacement, the car has been starting smoothly, and everything feels normal again. It’s only been two days, but so far everything is working well. I will update if I encounter any issues—otherwise, you can assume the car is running fine. Overall, I appreciate their help in diagnosing and fixing the problem.

Mark and his team were absolutely amazing. I was on a 20-hour road trip from Maine back to Kentucky when my brakes started grinding in Connecticut. I frantically pulled over, hoping someone could help—and thankfully, I found Monro. I rolled in at 5 p.m. on a Saturday, anxious and honestly terrified that I’d be stranded overnight or worse. But Mark and the other employees welcomed me immediately and helped calm me down. Even without an appointment, they checked my car right away. After looking it over, they told me I needed new rotors, pads, and calipers on the rear two tires. Mark was incredibly attentive and even bundled the parts to get me a better deal. Once I agreed, he ordered everything right then and there, and they got to work—staying hours after closing to make sure the job was done perfectly. I can’t express how thankful I am for Mark and his team. If I hadn’t found them, I truly don’t know what would have happened. I could have been stuck on the side of the road, or something far worse, especially considering I had been unknowingly driving on metal with 10+ more hours to go. Instead, because of them, I made it home safely the next day with zero issues with my brakes. They are genuinely some of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever encountered. They went above and beyond for me when I needed help the most. I am so incredibly grateful I found them.

Mark is rare diamond in the auto service business. He has an excellent crew. Honestly, they really make one feels comfortable. As a customer I sincerely appreciates their honesty and straightforwardness in the service of my automobiles, after years of dealing with them. I arrived at Monro around 8:00 AM due to a flat tire. My lug nuts were too tight for my tools to remove, so I drove on a flat to the nearest shop, which was Monro. The service manager told me I needed a tire replacement and said he would take care of it. He quoted me $240 for a single tire, which I was willing to pay without complaint. However, after I left the vehicle, the experience went downhill. I was never given a queue number, ETA, or time frame. The garage was not busy, yet I was told they were backed up. Hours passed with no update. By 2:00 PM, six hours later, I called for a simple status update. The manager told me he still hadn’t even started the job. When I asked what place in line my car was in, he hung up the phone on me. At that point I returned to pick up my car, and as expected, nothing had been done, not even a start on a job that takes 15–20 minutes at most. I immediately went down the street to Don Stevens Tire Co., where they replaced the tire within 10 minutes for only $50, and treated me with professionalism and respect. This Monro location wasted my entire day, showed zero professionalism, poor communication, and clearly did not value my time. I will never return to this location and would not recommend it to anyone. If you want honest pricing, clarity, and real customer service, go elsewhere, professionals down the road did it right the first time for me and didn’t bs or play hard ball.

The worst experience I’ve ever had. I went in for an oil change well over 2 1/2 hours later my car was ready. I guess having an appointment doesn’t really mean anything. Got home, leaking oil all over my driveway. Mark was nice enough to come down and take a look at it, but I had to go back to the shop and have him look at it further. Great guy, but total incompetence. I went in for an oil change. If you can’t do that, right, why should I trust them with anything else?

I have to say, this was my first time at Monro in Southington and I truly have nothing negative to say. Timmie and Bob helped me out at the front, and Mark took over from there. All three walked me through exactly what my dealership was trying to upcharge me on and explained how they could do the work for a much better price. Mark went step by step explaining the process and even set up my appointment for the next day. Timmie worked on my car and made sure to explain everything he did. We had great conversations, and the whole team made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I will definitely be back to THIS location for sure!

Excellent Service, went above and beyond We were traveling on a weekend trip, and I was going out for dinner, Saturday evening. Got in to my vehicle, and NO brakes. Fortunately Monro was literally less than a 100 yards away. They got my vehicle in, and did an initial examination. It was getting late (they are open till 7pm at this location) and was told it would be looked at in the morning. It was , parts were acquired, and repairs were started. There was an issue with a caliper, and it took a little longer to get that replaced, but It was Done and done very well !! I would not hesitate to go back to this location, al a bit its not very near, but is on a well traveled route we use .... I cant say enough about how good the staff is , and how they kept me informed the entire time, from initial information to progress as repairs went along. OH and did I say that all the repair work was on a Sunday !... and it was done well before they closed up for the day

Worst experience hands down!! Booked a appointment to get a wheel alignment at 4pm when I arrived i was told that they cant do my car today because they already have one on the lift and that my appointment should have never been made. The excuse was that they're call center is out of Indonesia and it's out of they're control and they are sorry. What a joke of a business

Great price, fast and amazing services. Tim is super friendly, knowledgeable and get my car in and out swiftly. The oil change lasts me more than 4 months and the maintenance is great. Highly recommended. 5 stars

I've been to this shop many times for service. Mark and his crew are great. I give them 5 stars. My issue is with Monro corporate. The last two times I've called to make an appointment for oil change, I've been redirected to corporate number. They make the appointment and send me phone and text confirmations, but when I arrive for the appointment, the shop doesn't have record of it. This turned a 30 - 45 minute oil change into 2+ hours of frustration. I would still recommend this shop for service, I just recommend going there and making the advance appointment in person.

I never write reviews but I literally had the most stressful day when my tire started getting fast leak on a friday night. I was literally driving the car and didn’t know what to do. Every car place was closed and I know nothing about cars. I called this store and the manager, Mark, picked up and told me to come in even though the store was closing. He helped me for like an hour after closing. He went above and beyond, even checking my oil. He fixed my issue and did not charge me a thing. Seriously amazing work.

My husband and I are very happy to have found a trustworthy shop for our vehicles. Mark at the front is great personality to spend wait time around. The mechanics did a great job with the full vehicle check over. Mark personally cleaned out my tire of “fix a flat” and repaired my tire to perfection. The tire looks and feels like new again. We are so appreciative of the personal touch that Mark always adds to any of our vehicle needs. Mark took the time to passenger ride my vehicle to listen for a sound that has concerned me, after 2/3 of his mechanics could not locate the noise. Mark was able to immediately figure out that it was a minor adjustment and got me on my way. Thank you Mark and the team of mechanics at Southington Monroe.

I came here to get my car looked at because it was not starting. I dropped it off Thursday night and I got there late but Mark was still there finishing paper work. He opened up and pulled in my car and heard what I had to say, even though it was a little after they closed. They worked on the car the next day and it was a battery. However, the brakes needed to be replace and Mark didn't push it on me, just let me know. He told me he'd price it out and get me the lowest rate. I did some checking around and sure enough, his quote was by far the lowest. Picked up the car Saturday afternoon (it was done Friday afternoon). Needed to get rusted bolts off my other car to remove old plates. Mark and Tim said they could help. After a few tries, they got it off and Tim even offered to put the new plate on with new bolts. Overall, amazing service and Mark is great to work with. I'd highly recommend to anyone needing work done in the area.

Been coming to this Monro for a while, seems new management has it together even better. Great prices, even better service. No worries here women, they don't try to sell you what you don't need. They give you all of the details after thoroughly going through your vehicle. They tell you safety concerns first and let you know how much time before you should really get something done. No playing games. Thank you Mark for the great service yet again. (& for the bday donut!!)I'll be back soon, but I'm sure you will see the rest of the family coming through in the next few weeks!
