The place is kind of messy and congested with a lot of traffic. Only reason I went there because was convenient for me.

Liberty Recycling is the best scrap yard in the state that I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of them great people great prices very clean lot I would 100% recommend them to anybody

I’ve been going there for the last decade and have never had a bad experience…friendly helpful staff, never have to wait long, and they have a very efficient system set up. Pretty much the only place I’ll go as long as I live in CT.

The guys at the main scale are friendly helpful. I feel like I could have used a little better guidance on how everything works here. Their system seems fairly efficient once you understand how they roll. If you’ve never been here or don’t do a lot of scrapping, things are a little confusing. Pricing seems o.k.. Overall, not a bad place to deal with...

Scale in empty scale out loaded. Very tight to maneuver it’s a junk yard! When they send you to get loaded on the brick building make sure you reverse from the st usually they give you the middle dock. Very tight be careful and good luck.

The hours should be changed online it states 4:30 close time but when we go there a few times the lady in front office said she was upset bc they don't take loads until 4:30 pm that we needed to make sure 4:10 pm we bring in our last load. So there's that. Also the front office always seems to have a big up their butt. Never seem happy to say hello and or thank you. Always have an attitude even the young guy that's there sometimes just throws the money in the window and doesn't say a word to be nice or respectful. If Jay could run that business with just the guys in the back like Fred and the rest of those guys then it would be better to keep going back. But it is the worst feeling when me and friends have to say oh man I have to deal with their attitudes now too"" I mean it sucks but hopefully they stop acting like that and understand it is a business. They are no better than we are.

Very unorganized, and also a very,very dangerous place. 😳 they really need to clean this place up. It was a scary situation and will not be going back.

I drive a big rig, came here to get loaded with light iron. Everyone was very friendly and helpful....

river is very dangerous to be driving these vehicles tailgated me all the way long 84 and west street in z bristol , dtivies like a maniac weaving in and out of traffic no signals cuts people off , reported to Ct State Police today

Good usually you be in and out, Go in too the scale get weight in , dump ,get empty weight,they give you a slip.

Best scrap yard around hands down you can't beat their prices (I call around alot) and the people that work there are awesome and very helpful! ive been going here for about half a year and have no plans of going elsewhere very satisfied with doing business with these guys!

i have been going to liberty for a long time. if the market prices are low i will store my bare bright and copper and alum until the price go up a lot in prices. i never have enough light metal or heavy metal to get much for them so i bring them whenever i get a truck load. Jay the owner is a nice person and i alway talk to him before i bring the copper to see what the prices are going to be. he has always treated me good and has been honest. my only problem with going with the light metal is i alway get a screw/nail in one of my tires and have to have it plugged or in one case the tire replaced. so i am trying to decide if I should even bother bring the light metal there. but all the other metals i get a good price .

First time going to this place earlier in the week. Was a pretty positive and solid experience. It's a pretty legit operation. Good prices for scrap as well. I was definitely satisfied. Just know if you have electronic scrap you'll only probably get paid light iron for it - so you might wanna do some research about that if you have any of that - but hey nowhere is perfect. Would definitely recommend this place and I'm giving it a thumbs up. 👍

If heaven was a place that's strictly involved recycling metal this would be a good example of what we have to look forward to staff is great if anybody's been to a fast food place recently you understand how difficult it is to have a good staff and this staff is very respectable. And truly that's all I can ask for you want to get ripped off go somewhere else I've tried them all in Connecticut so far this is the best

If you separate your metals and bring them to scrap, they are the best price around, ive been to 6 other places and called every other place and liberty has the best prices, when i call other scrap yards and ask what they pay, I end up laughing at them cause they are 15-25 cents cheaper than liberty

Guys be aware, the scale is incorrect. For semi truck scale is off by 1500 LB. It's shown 33230 for my trailer axle and TA Truck scale shown 34680.

I will never go there again they are rude and they rip you off I went there to bring my.Cadillac converter they told me they were going to give me $40 for it I went somewhere else I got $280. They RIP you off. Dont waste your time.

Was recommended to go to Liberty. Pulled into line at scale. Young man at scale was very nice and explained the process. Made the drop and went to cash in. That young man that paid you needs some happy pills. Not very outgoing. And, they paid the lowest amount of any yard I’ve been to. 3.5 cents / ton for light iron. I’m getting 5-6.5 from other yards. Pretty crummy. Won’t be back.

I have been going here for years. The staff is Friendly and it's one of the better priced metal recycling facilities.

I wish it was possible to give ZERO stars or Negative ratings. Save yourself the trouble and headache go to another business. There are multiple close. The place is horrible and dishonest from the owner down. Used to be a good place 8 or so years ago but has gone down hill since.

The Manager for this place is a theif. I scrap some part yesterday the first trip i got a price the second trip the price was lower. I tried to have a conversation about why he changed the price and he lost it. saying he dosent want anymore of the scap alluminum. Instead of telling me the price was going to be lower he just sneaked it in. got angry because he got cought. I will not be scarping at Liberty anymore. Please check your receipts.
