Wonderfully organized thrift store with excellent merchandise, beautiful quality clothes and great prices. Spectacular housewares, dishes, art, purses, shoes, just a wonderful place to shop! And the staff is so friendly and helpful. This thrift store is special because of the quality of the items, really good quality .. designer clothes, handbags, shoes. Very high end coats. Gorgeous and unusual HomeGoods.. The people who run this store work very hard to keep it organized. There's often a line to get in.

First time visiting this thrift shop and to see what the hype was all about. When I began walking around, I expected a little more value for your buck from a secondhand shop. Most clothing pieces were overpriced and very outdated. I had waited 30 minutes with my disabled mom to get in because of the “holiday event” and all I was left with was a battered back from standing outside in the cold so long. To make matters worse, I found a box of holiday cards in a box with about 4 missing cards that had no thrift store price but still had the Marshalls $5.99 price it was originally purchased for. After bringing the item with a missing price sticker to a volunteer's attention, she took it to the back and brought it back out 3 minutes later. I grabbed it again and realized it was priced at $5!!!!!!! Only 99 cents less for a box of cards that had less than the 16 indicated on the re-taped box???? I observed many leaving with empty hands. No jewelry either because it seems anything worth over 15 bucks is auctioned off online. Not worth the trip. Maybe if you're a local and bored, but this momma doesn't have time to search for treasures that don't exist.

The thift store itself is amazing. Great section and even had some really high end designer items with great prices! The staff memeber in the fitting room was a problem, though. She was so rude and telling people they need to hurry up and when there was only one person in line for the fitting room. They only allow three items at a time which is kinda crazy for a thift store! I would go back because the finds were so good and next time I'll be prepared for rude staff!

This place is terrific! I almost hate to say it because I don't want it to get super crowded ?

Very rude! I searched around for a do good store for lots of beautiful formal dresses hearing that they go to a good cause. Had never been here before did not see the note to bring donations to the back door versus the front. Regardless, the woman at the front was kind and said they’re normally accepted at the back, but if you walk through the store and knock, they will accept them there. The woman that opened the door was so rude to me, rolled her eyes at me and said in the future you need to drive around just wasn’t kind at all. No one should treat someone like that especially someone bringing donations. She tried to yank them out of my hand while rolling her eyes and saying it’s fine we’ll take them. I said absolutely not. I’ll take them elsewhere. Lost a great customer and lots of referrals.

I have mixed feelings about this shop. I love the general premise and visit occasionally, but it tends to spoil my mood each time. I literally have to brace myself when I approach the building. It is very crowded, which I can understand is stressful, as some customers don’t really seem to have consideration for those around them. But on more than one occasion I have encountered very rude staff, and it was unwarranted. I recently dropped off donations at exactly 3:30, their cutoff time. I tried my hardest to get there sooner but was delayed quite a bit in traffic. I walked up to the volunteer with a box in hand and was greeted by an extremely annoyed look and shaking of the head. I apologized and told her the situation. She begrudgingly told me to put the box in the room to sort out. I told her I had a few more boxes and asked if I should wait for another day, and still in the same tone she told me to wait, that she already had too much to go through. Perhaps she was having a frustrating day, but so was I, and I didn’t choose to project that onto anyone else. It left a really sour taste in my mouth that someone would complain about receiving too many donations. Now, I understand this is volunteer-run, and can be stressful. But a little kindness given what the whole mission is, and the times we’re living in, can go a long way. If the experience of working here makes you miserable, you have the option to leave, rather than share that misery with someone else who is just trying to do a good thing in the midst of this crazy world we’re living in. Needless to say, my remaining boxes were given to the Goodwill donation trailer close by. On another occasion I was buying a complete dish set with dinner plates, side plates, serving bowls, the works. It was ample and heavy. I asked about keeping it behind the register and was snapped at, stating they don’t hold anything back there because there isn’t space and it’s a hazard. If that’s your policy I understand, but one shouldn’t assume everyone knows that, and therefore show a bit of patience when someone asks, even when you get that question often. Perhaps post an obvious sign to minimize that. Some other instances for instance where I’ve been scolded for removing items from my basket to hand to the cashier, as they have volunteers who that, and being corralled in line have occurred. Totally get needing to organize everyone, but the way in which it’s done feels abrasive at times. If you are a person unbothered by rudeness, and people impeding on your personal space, it could be worth a trip for you. I have found some pretty decor items, but nothing particularly valuable. It could be those are already snatched up or out of my price range when I visit. I tend to go for the houseware over the clothing and accessories. I’ll add, it wasn’t always this way; when they were at their previous location on Catoonah I found everyone to be lovely and everything was very fairly priced. It’s a shame the vibe didn’t follow. I have delayed writing this review to give time for growing pains from the move, but given it’s still an issue, I think people should be made aware. Perhaps this isn’t everyone’s experience if you arrive polished and are a familiar face. I’ll happily revise this if staff take note and decide to adjust the mood of this shop.

Nicely curated and crafted, making second hand items appealing to the masses. The front displays are beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of walking into a true vintage store without the extravagant vintage prices. Further into the store is where you’ll find most of your more “worn items.” Everything was well organized and some pieces were in great shape. You can tell the store remains prideful about its appearance. There was also a lovely selection of books and purses and their kitchenware items were a steal. Who wouldn’t love a practically new air fryer for $30?! Admittedly, the store can be a tad chaotic by the sheer number of people shopping. Apparently, everyone recognizes that in terms of second hand and vintage, this place is a gem!

Ridgefield Thrift Shop goes above and beyond an ordinary thrift shop. Everything is highly curated and the attention to detail is immaculate. The staff are extremely friendly, and the prices are a steal. I bought all my silverware here and still get compliments to this day!

Wasn't quite sure my wait in the Christmas line would be worth it but I am happy to say it was. The Christmas set up was beautiful! I was there to shop for old ornaments. Not only did they keep putting them out from what seemed to be an endless supply ------ they were cheap. Not gonna lie, it was crazy busy! This is one super busy thrift. Well worth it for this vintage thrifter!

Very unfriendly place I just witnessed a woman snap at two customers for trying the door ten minutes before opening. She said “you two need to look and read. Don’t you see the sign?” Shaking her head and scoffing Then as they stood out front waiting for the store to open, another volunteer asked the rude woman if she wanted her to stand there and keep an eye on the clothing racks because of the customers waiting to go in. Very unfriendly.

visited the store TWICE in my life, every time it was overcrowded to the point where I really believed it was a fire hazard. uninteresting, bland items on display I have seen in countless other thift stores, with the exception of the delicate China and glass that was way overpriced and understaffed cashier to handle so many customers. 1st time visitng I didn't bother buying anything because it was just so chaotic, having my personal space invaved by strangers. I could barely walk an aisle wihout being blocked by other persons, very frustrating and not worth my time driving to a different town and end up getting just ONE item: a simple $8 dress. Was NOT a pleasant shopping experience :(

Overpriced for a thrift store. Dresses went from $40-90. The staff are a miss. Would not recommend.

Better quality up cycling and thrifting. Great finds nicely displayed in a clean place and lovely town. The store is very busy but worth the time.

Was a 5 star before 10/22. Since 10/22, prices are outrageous. Nothing interesting/unique reaches the floor. Think it must get screened and going other places....not on their auction either.

I’ve never had a positive experience with the staff and since I had a fantastic one after visiting the store yesterday, I’ve decided to write a review. Florence that is part of the staff is truly a breath of fresh air- what a lovely lady! She made my experience very pleasant as opposed to the usual hostile environment. I hope I get to encounter more Florences as part of the staff since I shop there very often and she seems to understand what the concept is about.

Really an amazing array of merch. Books, clothes, household goods, high end decor. The volunteers do an amazing job!

Love this store; friendly people; the store is located in back of Wells Fargo bank

This is one of my favorite thrift stores in the area! Their items change regularly, and the prices are reasonable. And plenty of parking, and very safe Covid practices.

Best thrift store ever!! High end, excellent condition clean treasures, organized, amazing staff, all in a classic store ambiance. With COVID, hours and shoppers limited and everyone's hands are sanitized upon entering. All money goes to the community. But let's keep it a secret!! Lol.

After living in Ridgefield 20+ years and frequenting the store fairly often, I had a horrible experience today. 1st a volunteer/employee practically ripped an ornament from my hand. Then I wanted to buy an item that had no pricetag and was told that I couldn't buy it today. It had to go back and be "recirculated" to be priced I have also given many, many donations through the years. Never again!

Clearly the most exciting shopping experience in Ridgefield. And what's more, serving a good purpose by donating about 500K a year to local charities.

I've been meaning to check out the Ridgefield Thrift Shop for awhile. I dropped some donations today and finally looked around the store. Amazing range of clothes, toys, home goods. And, yes, I bought several items that together cost $20. Great place for retail therapy and the money goes to lots of good nonprofits.

Very over prized clothing. There is a section within the store where mall brands are marked high and they charge $30+ for a pair of jeans. Not really thrift store prices.

I go in every Saturday. There has not been one visit where I have left not finding something. Seems every time I go in I find at least two Items I absolutely must have. The prices! Perfect example: Went to a consignment shop here in town and saw a pair of andirons that would be perfect for my fireplace but they were $150, really wanted them but that was too much. Next stop was Ridgefield Thrift Store...Guess what...Exactly identical set for $40! I am constantly amazed by the incredible finds in that shop that sell for no money. I could go on for days about how great this store is but you have to see it for yourself

I'm not a local. I am an avid thrifter. I positively loved this place. In downtown Ridgefield, I found this to be a hidden gem. I found amazing deals, neat products, and a convenient location.

This is by far the nicest Thrift Store I have ever visited. Very nice staff (all volunteers) and great prices. Everything is arranges in sections so nicely, women's, men's, boy's and girl's, baby, toys, technology, sewing, things for kitchen, bedrooms, books, paintings, furniture, jewelry, shoes, you name it. It all goes to very good causes!
